So to show you some progress on my journey to the skies. I'm currently wearing a swim suit I have not fit into since 2014. I kept it primarily for a reminder that I was freakn fat...at my highest I was 220. But had hung around 210 for a long while. Some of my catalyst to the skies...focus on myself, focus on my goals, discipline, a study buddy, physical fitness, my IG friends far and wide. If you need or want help in your journey I can recommend tools to get you there. This bike, a 2006 Buell XB1200Ss Lightning Long, was purchased by me a month or so after arriving at Army Flight School in 2006. A graduation present if you will. Brand Spankin new from Ocala Florida Harley Davidson. Delivered right to my front driveway with no miles on it. I broke it in, traveling all over Alabama, and Florida. I rode it rain or sun...and there was a lot of rain. I raced it all over Fort Rucker...like Maverick in Top Gun except helicopters lime the Apache, Blackhawk and Chinook weren't quite as fast at take offs. When I came home from flight school to Boise, I used it almost daily except Idaho sucks for winter riding...though I did try some days. When I left flying and came to Idaho Falls shorlt after It came with me and has been a get-away from life and brought back memories of yesteryear. Well the time has come for Burgan to put some different wings on. This time without a bike to ride. That's right I'm giving up my Buell to push for a goal to fly in the big league. @infinityflightgroup I'm so stoked and grateful for this chance of a lifetime. I'm ready for it. You know when you get laser focused on goals, and look for the inner superhero sometime you ride a high. Then you pause for a moment and look out from where you currently are and your anxiety and fear catches you. That happened during my workout today. I have life decisions, physical goals, and career goals, that I'm pushing for, and that little negative voice caught me mid set saying you can't do this, just stay where you are, don't pickup those heavier dumbbell, why you spending so much effort studying aviation you can't be a pilot now. It made give pause take a big breath for a minute, find my resolve on who Ia and where I need to go. A glimpse of my phone lock 🔐 screen, a motivational quote from @joelfreemanfitness, another deep breath, a thought of my son running this track with me, another deep breath, and then back into the set.
