Alex knew that he should be paying attention to what his mom was saying more, but he couldn't help but be distracted by the girl who kept catching his gaze from the crowd. She even smiled at him one time and he couldn't help but smile back before being elbowed by his sister to stop flirting, as she put it.

Ok he was flirting, but the girl was flirting back! What was he supposed to do with that? Ignore her? No, that would be very rude for the First Son to do such a thing. So as soon as the speeches were done, Alex excused himself from the stage, making his way through the crowd until he found the girl who caught his attention all night.

He hadn't entirely expected to be here this late, with her. But he wasn't about to complain exactly. Even if it was an unexpected turn, it wasn't one he was about to fight. Sure they had happened to fall asleep on the couch, found themselves intertwined with one another, and he had been ready to leave. The shifting of his weight had been for him to get up but then her foot keeps him in place and he can't help but pause and look towards her as a hand lifts up to wrap around her ankle. Hazel eyes looking at her as he lets her invitation sink in between them, but it also give him a chance to think on how to respond. It doesn't entirely last long, a slow nod following as he moves to lean back against the couch. "Alright....I'll stay, if you're comfortable with that." The last thing he wanted to do was stay if she didn't really want him to, then again he wasn't entirely sure what she meant by stay the night. Something he was going to let her dictate, it felt only proper.
