Today (6th Sept) is the International Day of Charity, here are 10 (of hundreds) charities and associations that Princess Anne supports.

Save the Children - Princess Anne has been the President of the Charity since 1970 and became Patron in 2017. She has spent a significant amount of time visiting Save the Children’s projects, she has travelled to Bangladesh, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Mozambique, Ethiopia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as causes at home in the UK.

Carers Trust - The Carers Trust was formerly known as The Princess Royal Carers Trust. Princess Anne founded the charity in 1991. She found that people caring for others were a scarcely recognised group that needed support. The charity is now known as the Carers Trust.

Riding for the Disabled - Princess Anne joined the RDA as it’s Patron in 1971 and later as their President in 1985. The Riding for the Disabled association provide therapy, fitness and development for children and adults with disabilities through horse riding and carriage driving. They have centres in the UK, New Zealand and Australia.

Farms for City Children - Founded by author Sir Michael Morpurgo and his wife, Farms for City Children provides opportunities for disadvantaged city children to experience and connect with nature, learning where their food comes from, spending time with animals, which comes with many benefits such as self confidence and self worth. Princess Anne has been their Patron since 1991.

Sea Cadet Corps - Princess Anne is the Admiral of the Sea Cadet Corps, the Navy equivalent Cadet Corps in the UK.

Motor Neurone Disease Association - The MND Association focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by motor neurone disease. Princess Anne has been their Patron since 1991.

Sense - The National Deafblind Association - Princess Anne has been a Patron of Sense since 1989. Sense support people who are deafblind or have complex disabilities.

The Not Forgotten Association - The Not Forgotten Association provide a programme of social activities, outings, respite and breaks for veterans and wounded serving personnel which improve physical and mental health, address isolation and loneliness, and promote a sense of community and balance. Princess Mary was the original Patron of the charity from 1920 until 1965, The Duchess of Kent took over until 2000 when Princess Anne succeeded as Patron.

The Durrell Conservation Wildlife Trust - Founded by Gerald Durrell in 1963 the trust have a mission to save species from extinction. It’s headquarters are on the island of Jersey. Princess Anne has been Patron of the trust since 1972.

03/05 In preparation for her brothers, King Charles III coronation, Princess Anne carried out the following engagements in central London;
Unofficial HRH along with King Charles III, The Prince and Princess of Wales and Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were at Westminster Abbey for coronation rehearsals 👑
As Colonel of The Blues and Royals, HRH met Officers and senior Non-Commissioned Officers of The Household Division during a visit to Wellington Barracks. 💂‍♂️🫡
As Patron of the SS Great Britain Trust, HRH visited SS GREAT BRITAIN in Bristol, where she toured the Future Brunels Showcase. ⛴️
04/05 The Princess Royal, accompanied by Sir Tim attended the Victoria Cross and George Cross Association Dinner at Fishmongers’ Hall in London 🍽️

Held a meeting with Chris Hipkins MP (Prime Minister of NZ) then subsequently visited the National Crisis Management Centre at the Executive Wing, New Zealand Parliament Grounds 🚨
Visited the Museum of New Zealand, Te Aro 🏛️
As Colonel-in-Chief, Royal New Zealand Corps of Signals, attended a Reception at Government House to mark the Centenary of the Corps and afterwards attended a Service of Remembrance and laid a wreath at the National War Memorial at Pukeahu National War Memorial Park, Te Aro. 🌹
Attended a Dinner at Government House in the evening. 🇳🇿
16/02 HRH with Sir Tim, carried out the following engagements in Wellington, New Zealand:
Visited Havana Coffee Works Roastery and created her very own Special Edition coffee blend, with profits from the blend to go to supporting the victims of Cyclone Gabrielle, through The Red Cross ☕️⛑️
As Patron of the New Zealand Riding for the Disabled Association they made a visit to the Wellington Group centre in Porirua 🐴
As President of the Mission to Seafarers, HRH opened the new Wellington Mission site, Aotea Quay, Port of Wellington and afterwards unveiled the Foundation Stone for the Mission to Seafarers and Merchant Navy Memorial at Wellington Cathedral ⚓️
As Colonel-in-Chief, Royal New Zealand Corps of Signals, attended a Reception at Government House, Wellington and afterwards attended a Dinner at Government House given by the Governor-General of New Zealand (Dame Cindy Kiro). 🇳🇿
17/02 HRH with Sir Tim, carried out the following engagements in Christchurch, New Zealand:
Attended a briefing on the rebuilding of Christchurch Central City and Christ Church Cathedral at Turanga Library and visited the site of Christ Church Cathedral ⛪️
Attended the Rededication Service for the Citizens’ War Memorial and laid a wreath in Cathedral Square 🌹
As President of Royal Agricultural Society of the Commonwealth, they visited the RAS of NZ and Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association at Canterbury Agricultural Park, Hillmorton 🚜
Visited Untouched World Merino and Natural Fibre Workrooms 🐑
As Patron, of the New Zealand Conservation Trust, visited Willowbank Wildlife Reserve, Northwood 🦜
18/02 Accompanied by Sir Tim they departed Wellington, New Zealand and travelled to Sydney, Australia and carried out the following engagements:
In Sydney they toured the Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney 🌿
Visited New South Wales Mounted Police Stables, Redfern, New South Wales. They departed from Sydney Airport and arrived back at Heathrow Airport on 19/02 🇦🇺
21/02 HRH held an Investiture Ceremony at Windsor Castle. She presented Captain Preet Chandi with an MBE. In January, Captain Chandi broke the world record for the furthest unsupported solo Polar expedition in history, covering 922 miles in 70 days 🎖️🎿
22/02 Visited the Cicely Saunders Institute of Palliative Care at King’s College London where she spoke to researchers, clinicians and patients to understand how Kings College nursing is improving people’s experience of life limiting conditions, death and dying. 🩺
25/02 As Patron of the Scottish Rugby Union, accompanied by Sir Tim, HRH attended the International Rugby Match between France and Scotland at Stade de France, Paris, France 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇫🇷🏉
28/02 Held two investiture ceremonies at Windsor Castle 🎖️

05/01 Oxford Farming Conference
10/01 Traveled to Cyprus and attended a Reception and Dinner 🇨🇾
11/01 Meeting with the President of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades at the Presidential Palace, Nicosia.
Visited personnel from the Royal Logistic Corps who are currently serving with the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP), on Operation TOSCA.
During the visit, The Princess was able to view different areas of the Buffer Zone and Nicosia, including the Ledra Palace Hotel, the abandoned Nicosia International Airport and Wayne's Keep Military Cemetery where there was a Service of Remembrance and Wreath Laying Ceremony UN Buffer Zone, Nicosia.
Opened Queen Berengaria Military School at Dhekelia Garrison, which serves British military communities from Dhekelia and Nikolaos.
12/01 As President of the Royal Yachting Association, HRH attended their Annual Luncheon at Trinity House, London
As Royal Patron of the Motor Neurone Disease Association, HRH attended a Reception and the ""Insights: Women in Sport"" Panel Discussion at the British Olympic Association

25/01 As Colonel-in-Chief of The King's Royal Hussars, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, HRH visited the NATO Enhanced Forward Presence at Tapa Military Base, Estonia, and later attended a Reception given by His Majesty's Ambassador to the Republic of Estonia at the Residence in Tallinn.
