the most ridiculous media take I've ever heard is when people called omni-man 'the perfect twist villain'. they literally reveal he killed everyone in the first episode, it's like calling it a twist reveal that anakin skywalker turned out to be darth vader

#personal crap #on that note as time has passed I've come to think invincible in general is really mid #it's got some cool moments and the cast are great but it's like if you took watchmen or the boys #and took out all the systemic stuff that makes superheroes potentially bad in favour of omni man's people just being monsters #he's basically a lone wolf/bad apple/whatever you call people who use systemic privilege to murder people #to pretend there's not a systemic problem of disrespect in those people's class or position #sorry but I'm sick of people treating invincible as great superhero media it's just a worse version of other edgy superhero media
