for some reason I've started getting ao3 comments (ao3 comments!) that censor words like "die" and "abuse" and I'm lowkey baffled by this. those are themes that actively show up in the fics in question, and I (the writer) am clear and straightforward as I write about them (the fics are also properly tagged for those subjects). I just don't understand why anyone would censor those terms in the comments of a fic actively talking about those topics. it's kinda weirding me out ngl.

#like I can't be like ''don't comment on my fic if you can't say words like 'death' or 'abusive''' but #????????????????????????? #it's happened two or three times in the past week like. did someone rec a fic in a discord group of 18 y/os or what?? #herdy blerg

there's nothing more rewarding in the world than making and sharing some kind of Art and having a stranger on the internet say "hey, this spoke to me, thank you"

and that's why fanfiction is good

I was confused about why there were so few round one polls for the most annoying fandom bracket and then I realized it’s because I blacklisted half of those fandoms and the posts weren’t showing on my dash

once upon a time, back in the day, multiple apartments on this street had the same yard work crew and they would get alllll the yard work done on the same day! and sure it would be annoying for a bit but you knew not to take any Tuesday morning meetings and you'd get through it fine.

now however. now. every goddamn day of the week there is something new. my Tuesday mornings are loud. my Tuesday afternoons are loud. my Wednesday afternoons are loud. AND the garbage trucks switched up their routes so now they're clattering around with the big ol' back-parking-lot dumpsters at 7 in the goddamn morning, but they pick up opposite sides of the street on different days, so good luck sleeping in on Wednesday or Thursday, and sometimes they get behind and come at 7am Saturday instead! what's with that!! who schedules this shit!!
