Bird cages!

HOKAY, SO.

I’m finally going to upgrade the ‘tiel cages in the next couple of months! (Once I paint my room and finish some other things around the house.) I have spent a LOT of time looking at cages (both online & in person) over the last days/weeks, and I’ve mostly narrowed it down to these two.

So I’m looking for input! If anybody has any experience with either (or similar ones)! (FWIW, I think I read every review on every site of like a million cages--every cage out there seems to have SOME bad reviews about the quality, but I tried to choose ones where MOST of the bad reviews were based on user error or personal preference things.) Keep in mind I need two, because Keuka & Tioga do not like each other and can’t be housed together.

A&E Elegant Flight Cage

Pros: good size (there are three sizes of this--the one I’m looking at is the medium one, 32″W x 21″D x 61″H); seems very sturdy; nice looking; nice stainless steel food cups; nice shelf. I was able to check out the smaller version at a local bird store and I liked it. (ALSO, a potentially important note: Wayfair has their “own brand” of bird cages, and has this exact cage for only $205. I’m like 95% sure it IS the A&E cage, just rebranded (since it’s not like Wayfair actually MANUFACTURES their own stuff). So I could potentially get this for only $205.)

Cons: Those gaps above & below the door and by the food dishes are weird? Probably not big enough to be a problem for tiels, but? I read one single review about screws sticking out near the food cups (no one else seemed to have this problem though)?

Avian Adventures Loro Flight Cage

Pros: AA has probably the best reputation of all of the brands other than Kings; I like their no-screws approach to cage assembly (this is a big pro, actually--Gwen’s cage is like this, and I LOVE how I was able to pop it apart to store it and then pop it together in like 30 seconds...not that I will probably need to disassemble these much/if ever, but hey); the cage bars are supposed to be extra heavy-duty (also a big plus; I HATE flimsy cage bars with the fiery passion of a thousand suns). Would fit a little better in my space width-wise (though a little worse depth-wise, so that’s kind of a toss up--it’s 30W x 24D x 72H). Comes with a cool perch, I think.

Cons: More expensive--most places it’s $300 or more. The cheapest I found was for $260ish, which isn’t terrible, but still. I don’t like the look of this one as much--it looks bulky (mainly the legs, but also the square-ness. also the top roof thing, but that’s removable at least); I don’t like that the cage can’t detach from the legs; I’ve heard reviews that the casters are cheap (but maybe that’s changed?); the shelf underneath seems like it’s too high up to really be useful (for my tall food containers/plastic storage bin). I wasn’t able to check this one out in person, which always makes me iffy. This is a little thing, but I read reviews about the cups fitting REALLY snugly into the holders and being hard to get out--that would be annoying.

If you have any other suggestions (that I somehow haven’t seen/considered), also feel free to recommend! My basic requirements (and the reasons I chose the above ones) are under the cut, so I don’t completely kill everyone’s dash.

-Size (big). If I’m going to spend hundreds of dollars upgrading them, I want it to be significantly bigger than their current cages, not just a little bigger. Ideally something that could be classified as a “flight cage.” That said, with the space I have, the max width I can go to would be about 32″ (and 30 or 31″ would be preferable) and I wouldn’t want it to be much deeper than 23-24″ (21″ish is preferable). I need two of these, remember.

-General design things. Obviously, these are cockatiels, so bar spacing no more than 1/2 inch. Big enough door that they want to come out. Enough horizontal space (more important than height, though obviously there’s only so much I can do there).

-Small design things, like: most of the brand-name flight cages for smaller birds apparently (like this A&E one, which I was heavily considering for a while) don’t have food-access doors?? Wtf?? While 99% of the time I’m letting them out when I’m changing their food anyway, for the 1% of the time someone else is watching them and needs to change their food/water without them getting out, food access doors are pretty crucial. So that’s a deal-breaker. (As an aside, aren’t big flight cages like this often used for birds who AREN’T tame? Why the HECK would THESE cages be ones that you don’t put food access doors on??)

-Also small: I would prefer one with a shelf underneath! This isn’t as much of a deal-breaker, but I WOULD def prefer one with a shelf big enough to fit their food containers/the plastic tub with their blankets & supplies. (And this did help me choose between otherwise comparable cages.)

-Brand name/sturdy/safe. There’s nothing I hate more than a flimsy cage. That’s part of the reason I’ve waited so long to upgrade them--their current cages are small, but SUCH good quality (they’re Hoei, a Japanese brand you can’t find in the States anymore). Amazon has some cheap cages from brands like Mcage and YML that have some really good reviews, and I considered them, but...they also have several reviews about them being “fine, but you get what you pay for, etc.). I debated, but in the end decided that if I’m investing in new cages, I’d rather just invest in high quality ones. So I’m mostly looking at A&E, Avian Adventures, King’s, Prevue (though Prevue is probs my least fave of these), etc.

-Related to the above, sturdiness again. I really liked the shape/dimensions of the flight cages like the A&E one without food-access doors, but the bars I think are too thin. My tiels aren’t going to bend the bars, that’s not what I’m worried about, but I like to be able to have sturdy, heavy things in there, like java wood or concrete perches, without snapping the bars. Again: flimsy cages are the bane of my existence.

Things I Do Not Want:

-Hagen Vision Cages. Unpopular opinion time! I hate them! No real shade at the cages themselves, I know a lot of people have them and really like them. I just personally do not like the way they look. And the ones I assembled back when I worked at the pet store I Did Not Like. They were frequently broken

-Double cages that stack on top of each other. There are some really nice cages like this, but I don’t like the idea of one bird being essentially on the ground? I know my birds, and they would not be a fan. Also, I know my birds and, even though they do not like each other and can’t be housed together, Tioga would FLIP if she couldn’t see Keuka. (I don’t mind the side-by-side ones with a divider like this--that’s actually what I was PLANNING to get originally. But then I realized that most of those have the same issues as the regular large flight cages of that type--thin bars & no food access doors.)

Random SWTOR Blather

Not interesting at all if you don’t play and only slightly interesting if you do.

I’ve basically been off and on SWTOR since it came out. My longest break was less than a year after I lost most of my credits to a GTN scammer, back when 8 million credits was a LOT that I’d spent like months of intense crafting to save up.

At the beginning of 2017 I decided to get serious about playing and joined a guild. They were great for a few months, then things got slow and I dropped out of SWTOR for awhile after Andromeda came out and then my summer was crazy like it always was at my last job and then job drama started happening in the late summer through fall.

In November I went back and things got really awesome again in the guild, and for over two months it was daily log-in and fun, fun times. There was heavy recruitment and we’d have like 20+ on at night and we were running FPs and Ops like, daily, working on Vet mode Ops.

And then the new WoW expansion came out and overnight attendance dropped like a stone, and there was a little officer drama, and then the GL had some RL drama and left and... now the guild is completely dead again. We still hang out on Discord some but no one is playing.

So I guess I’m back in search of a guild of ADULT, MATURE (not in the ERP sense, just you know, like, actual grownups) guild of nice people and no drama on Star Forge. My DPS Trooper and healing Scoundrel are both Command Level 300 and both are well outfitted. Those are my mains. RP Optional, I could do it, I’d be OK with not. So if you know of an active, established guild an oldie like me (I’m over 40) would fit into, let me know.

Anyway, other stuff...

I have spent an insane amount of time and credits decorating. Ever since Strongholds were introduced it’s maybe been my favorite aspect of the game.

I spent just... dozens of hours making my Tatooine Stronghold awesome. Tat was my #1 choice for a main Stronghold because it feels like a place you would actually live, even if it is you know, on a barren desert planet. It has nicely sized, well-sectioned rooms. It really just makes such SUCH good use of the space and hooks it has. It’s exactly the right size to feel like if you live there and have it decorated it’s where a wealthy person would live. I love it. It’s been my Trooper Bethlany’s home for two years now, though I think of it as a “family home” for all my characters. Now I’m constantly now trying to figure out what hooks to remove so I can add new, cool stuff.

It’s not only got an awesome party Cantina/dance hall/casino/sportsbar combo, but a full-service medical clinic, an indoors science room and an entire outdoor science section. An awesome garden, a marketplace, a garage with a welcome area, droid repair section and full monitoring, a decked out master bedroom and Vos-ka inspired guest room, a diplomacy / meeting room, a sculpture garden, a techno war-camp for Aric, and a Rakata / non-technical training / archeology site, a small area dedicated to celebrating Life Day all year round, and a small oasis for large and small animals alike.

But like, I never stopped buying decorations. And when Manaan was introduced I decided this would be the home for my Inquisitor. Manaan is gorgeous, even though the hook situation there is completely wtf. Oh yeah, let’s put a ton of tiny hooks on narrow, already decorated walls. Lets only put narrow hooks along the walls in this huge, open room. Let’s make most of the ceiling hooks angeled, so almost nothing can be put there and look even halfway not-stupid. The entry outside is great, the narrow hallway is terrible, the big room upstairs is so, so frustrating, though the patio is generally nice. The downstairs mostly needs better ceiling hooks. IDK. But, it looks amazing. And I did a pretty good job making it feel like a breezy vacation home, with a very dark and private undersea area fit for training a new generation of Sith. It’s got the majority of my statues out in the entry area, and not a neon sign or non-organic plant in sight. And there’s a lot of plants and stone and water everywhere.

All of my characters use it as a vacation home, my lightsiders (which is... almost all of them) just avoid the undersea part. They’ll go back to their ships for sleeping after a dip in the hot tub, thanks.

I was going to start on re-making Naar Shadaa next and then Umbaraa came out, and I knew that train belonged to my Imperial Agent, Croach. Dark and moody with an urgent feel. I filled it with all the “Cargo” and “precious resources” I could find, with a couple of makeshift sleeping areas for the guards and a slightly nicer car for the Agent and her companions. So many centerpiece hooks to finally put so many misc huge things I had no other use for. Hey, yeah, we totally would be transporting this huge machine and this droid in a big ‘ol jar and there’s some rancor and huge turrets and ginormous droids up top along with most of my collection of rotating Zakuul turrets guarding it. Drop in a bunch of Imp guards standing around, and even made use of a lot of the destroyed speeders and walkers and turrets then slap some blaster marks on the walls to give the place a “we’ve already seen some shit” feel.

And then... my Secretly-a-Double-Agent-For-The-Republic got her Vector back and holy shit the Imps mistreated the Killks, and then oh shit (huge spoilers for Nathema in the IA storyline here) Shara Jenn found out she’s a double agent and welp... any cover she ever had was now blown. Despite going with Acina on Iokath, Croach told Lana to make a deal with the Republic. Might as well finally make the move officially.

So now in my head, the Umbara home is a covert mission, and everyone there is actually working for the Republic... with the train made up to look Imperial to sneak through some checkpoints. Also, her ship resides on Tatooine, Beth is watching out for it (it’s hidden in the garage, while the Thunderclap sits out on the visible landing pad.)

With finally getting the Umbara Stronghold feeling “Done” (though it and Manaan are only like 70% filled each, I don’t want to cram more stuff in there just TO when aesthetically they look good) it’s time to turn my attention to Naar Shadaa. For the first year or so of Strongholds, it was my main Stronghold, but I grew out of it easily and moved to Tatooine, and have always meant to get back to it.

It’d always meant to be my Smuggler’s home, she was my second Main, after all. I’d also bought the Mandalorian War Camp pack in hopes of making my BH a home someday. Because of the server merge I have two Nar Shadaas, and I figured one for each. But looking at my available decos, it’d be a long time until I could make it happen. When Rishi was announced I was excited, thinking I could make it work for the BH, but after watching Dulfy’s walkthrough Video I was disheartened. It is definitely beautiful and awesome for guilds, but it doesn’t really feel like a home for a person. I feel the same way about Yavin 4, btw. It’s an amazing place to visit, and great for guilds, but it’s just not a functional home. Too damp, and no actual rooms, especially not rooms with doors. I’ll hang out there all day, but I’m going back to my ship to sleep.

I still eventually might try to make the base of Rishi work, IDK. It will probably come down to cost.

Anyway, back to Naar Shadaa. I started decorating it for my Smuggler and quickly realized that if I was going to ever get to Coruscant and Dromund Kaas, compromises would need to be made. My BH defected to the Republic at the end of her class storyline, as little good as that did in canon. I think she, too, is going to make a deal with the Republic when I finish her storyline.

Which means either my Counselor or Knight is gonna take a turn for the Imps, I haven’t decided which yet, just to bring back a little bit of balance, and also, see that side of things. It’ll be interesting. I’m going to wait to see what making that decision actually does in the next bit of the story before moving either of them along.

So anyway, my BH and my Smuggler always knew each other in my backstories for them, they were contacts, helped each other with jobs, etc. So when Orna heads to the Republic, she and Red went into business together. They each have a suite of rooms near the front, but the rest of it is their shopping center, battle arena (place your bets!), casino, spa, dance club, and sports bar business. Please, come and spend all your money there, and feel free to use a private booth to make your deals. As soon as possible I’m going to find a second spa to add in that service, too. Torian is happy with the Mandalorian flair the place has, and Theron has a monitoring/spy station. Where better to pick up the best information than the most popular nightlife spot on Naar Shadaa, anyway? The only part that sucks is just one starship hook, so I’ll be rotating which ship is parked there occasionally.

That’s still in progress, but coming along.

Next I’m moving to Coruscant to make it a Jedi training hall and haven for Annakie, Jyn’leeviyah, Kira and Nadia, along with a medical clinic for Doc and an information outpost for Felix.

And then making Dromund Kaas into a Sith academy and Imperial for Sith Warrior Frevi and moody, romantic hideaway for her and Malavai.

...I really need to start crafting and finding more expensive stuff to sell on the GTN. I’m usually careful to stay over like 90 million credits, but I’m running out of good shit to sell. >.>

Anyway, so much rambling. I should actually like... go play.

Wtf is going on part 1

Male one piece x reader

sanji, zoro, luffy, law and mihawk are present.

-your point of view-

I was sleeping peacefully on my soft bed and soon start to feel arms rap around my waist. My eyes shot wide wake and afraid. I turn to my right to see a shirtless law. His toned tan body with those tattoos makes him look hotter that ace’s flames mixed with badassness. I turn to my left to see the marimos himself, zoro. While I was looking at him the song “sexy and I know it” was playing in my head. I felt liquid drip from my nose, I am pretty sure it was a nose bleed…. Oh no. I need to take a piss. What I haven’t peed since yesterday. I try my best to get out of their grasp and…. I succeed!!!!!!! Zoro groans in his sleep, needing my touch, it was so cute, but I need to pppppeeeeeee.

I walk down to the bathroom and then pee. After that I wash my hands, brush my teeth, and brush my hair. I started to smell something coming from my kitchen. I walk down to the kitchen to find sanji…... in an apron…. Only an apron. I felt the blood come out of my nose and sanji rushed over to me which did not help. He then put on some actual clothes and gave me my favorite breakfast to eat while he sat next to me with his arm around my waist. My face was as red as shanks hair.

He cupped my face and bring my ear close to his lips.

“how is the food my darling~?” he asked, giving me shivers that went down my spine.

“I-its gre-eat!” I stutter, I am a blushing mess.

He began to put his face near my neck, “I am glad you enjoy it my love~.”

Is this how I die? From hot sexy one piece characters????? ….. I’m cool with that.

“What are you doing sanji-ya?”, omfg it’s the sexy doctor.

They begun to glare at each other, resulting me sweat dropping in response. These 2 are powerful, once a fight starts, shit is going down. Soon zoro comes down stairs and not it’s a glare off between all 3 of them.

“Hey guys!”, oh no its hot rubber boy.

How can a creature be so cute and hot at THE SAME TIME? Ugh, I need help.

“hi luffy!” I chirped trying to make the atmosphere lighter.

All he did was laugh and slung me on his shoulder like a bag of potatoes. He ran away from the other while I questioned life. Sanji was on fire, literally. Zoro got lost on the way. Law ran after us. He finally lost them and stopped running.

“Luffy…. Can you put me down?” I requested him.

“Nope” He smiled.

I’m doomed.

He soon carried me bridal style, I looked around to find that we are at the park. He places me under a tree and gives me real clothes. Since I’m in my comfy pjs. He goes off saying he will get snacks. I let out a sigh and change in the park bathrooms because I’m not changing in public. I was a giant shirt and black jeans. I look down at the shirt to find it having a picture of luffy’s wanted poster. I started to look around the park and saw a very pale yet town man with golden eyes and jet-black hair. Damn he sexay. I continue to watch the glorious man train.

“I don’t mind a woman’s company, so sit.” He commanded me to sit at the bench near him.

I followed his order because why not, I get to watch sexay man train. I watch him for a bit then he started to do push-ups.

“may you sit on my back?” he requested of me.

I nod very fast and went to sit on his back.

“Am I too heavy?” I asked very worriedly.

“Not at all, you have the same weight of a rose, light delicate and loved my all but I would like to keep you to myself my little rose.” He commented with a hella sexy smirk.

“T-Thank you…” I said since I could not thing of anything else to say.

“Can you get off of me for a bit?” he asked after him doing close to 300 pushups.

I get off sitting next to him. He wraps his muscular arms around my neck and makes me face him. Those eyes are hypnotizing, I can’t look away.

“May I have an award for training so hard?” he smirked at me.

“W-w-w-what would that be?”

He placed me on his lap and holding me in a bridal style position. It was cute but my god I’m losing blood fast. He strokes my cheek and begins to move his face closer to my own. My heart is beating out of my chest rapidly. He plants a sweet kiss on my jaw line and soon all over my neck. I am in heaven and I’m a blushing mess. The kisses send pleasure through my body.

“Room.”

Suddenly I am being held by law in his arms. His tattoos are very good and suit him. he was wearing a shirt unlike the others. He takes my hand and we are walking to somewhere. I really wanted to finish that with mihawk… I’m all red now damn it! Law gets me some ice cream, after we ate we went off to the library to read, they have very good manga there. Law laid his lap as he read about the human body and I read soul eater. It was the most peaceful thing that happened so far. I will thank law later for it.

Okay so it was a really long day and night it overran by two hours and I can’t remember the exact order everything happened so it may not be chronologically accurate but I’m gonna try my best to tell it from start to finish as correct as possible.

So once we were like in the waiting area to go in everyone was just chilling out and stuff all just waiting to go in, people were singing along to the music that was playing and it was all nice and chilled, well it was until someone worked out that Harry was in a room near us and this one girl managed to somehow make 300/400 people be quiet and told us that Harry was in that room and we all started yelling his name and cheering and shit and I couldn’t see so I don’t know if he came out or not but eventually everyone just screamed and then went back to their seats so I don’t know exactly what happened there but something happened 😂 then Taylor swift we are never ever getting back together comes on the radio so we all start singing along to that to take the piss lmao and then eventually we start going in.

So the stage place was great I’ll like draw a diagram or something but it was like a circular stage with the bands stuff and everything on it and then there was a catwalk bit as well and we all fill up around it and then there are seats at the end for people who got seats like Harry’s family etc. I saw Anne, this was like an amazing achievement for me cuz it’s fucking Anne I was shook lmao so yeah and then we did all the warm up cheering and stuff before nick came on and he told us it was Sarah’s birthday so we all sang happy birthday without actually being told to so it was a little out of time but I think she was happy with it lmao. Then he introduced Harry and omfg I just I can’t he was so fucking beautiful like you think he’s pretty in the pics and then he’s stood right in front of you and you’re just like holy shit it’s an angel and ughhhhh he’s wearing that suit and omg we all just lost our minds 😂

He did a bit of a chat with us just saying hello and thanks and he introduced the band and then it came to Mitch, I didn’t even realise it was Mitch he’d cut his hair off I was like woah wtf and someone yells “where’s the hair” and Harry was like “wouldn’t we like to know” and made a sarcastic comment about him not knowing and then joked that they carry it around with them like a wig and said that he wasn’t aware it was being cut off too and he was being all cute with us he came over to my section by the side of the stage and waved to us all and everyone was screaming but I was just like in shock so I was just staring like wtf this man is not actually in front of me rn and he just smiled at me and omg I was like fuck no that didn’t just happen it did he fucking looked at me and smiled holy shit. So he started with two ghosts and it was so beautiful hearing it live and all the lighting and stuff they had was amazing and just made it an amazing experience and we were swaying and stuff it was so nice.

Someone asked him what he had for lunch as he said fish so after a while we started asking what type of fish and he was confused as to why we were asking but eventually told us he had seabass and that it was very nice. Turns out the girl who asked worked at McDonald’s so wanted to know, the warm up comedian guy made a good point that Harry wouldn’t go to McDonald’s and she was like “we sell fish” and he was like right okay then.

Okay then I think he did from the dining table next omg the people behind me was so funny she was like “oh shit no someone hold me!” I was like same girl same but he did that and it was just silence and I’m gonna be honest I was stood next to my mum and when he went “played with myself” I lost it I laughed, no one heard it I just found it awkward af hearing him actually say it and I laughed, it sounded more like a choke but yeah my immature mind couldn’t take it. There was one bit when we all clapped along but then went back to silence and at the end we were like stunned cuz it took a couple secs to get the clapping going again but it was shocking to hear it live it was so emotional I wasn’t prepared.

THEN RODGER OMG okay Rodger is like the manager of something and he was kinda telling everyone what to do, he got us going for the clapping and stuff and was pausing between songs to make sure everything was right, so Rodger was like alright Harry we gotta do two ghosts again and Harry was like what okay then so he did it again and it was just as good as the first time. He was jokingly yelling at Rodger and we joined in and when he asked what he was supposed to do they said nothing and he was like that’s all I’m good for I was like baby nooo. Then he did meet me in the hallway holy shit that was amazing he was so good and hearing the “give me some morphineeee” but it gave me shivers even tho it wasn’t him who sung it.

He joked that all the sad songs were done and he did a cheeky grin and was like let’s move on be happy and Rodger was like wait no Harry we need FTDT again please and Harry said that he looked like a prat now and omg no one needs to hear FTDT twice it hurt I wasn’t prepared and the people behind me were literally freaking out about it I was like omg okay this is crazy 😂

We were asking him for jokes while they sorted the staging and he asked if we had any and I think someone said the cow one and he was like omg no but while laughing so we didn’t get a joke. He also said something like “I’ve got one joke but it’s a bit dirty,” then he looked over the crowd towards Anne and was like “can’t tell them the one you told me the other day can I Sandra!”

Then I think he might’ve done seeet creature? This is where the order gets a bit muddled sorry I’m not 100% anymore, but he was like “this is sweet creature” and everyone screamed and he did it and it was so beautiful I FUCKING LOOKED OVER TO ANNE AND SHE WAS SINGING ALONG I WAS LIKE OMG MY HEART so yeah that was just really really nice to listen to it was beautiful.

Then I think he did ever since New York? He was like “sing along if you know it” so I was like holy shit Stockholm syndrome yes let’s do it! Then he said something like “this is a song I wrote uhh wrote it a while ago when I was uhh yeah I was in New York” and ngl I love the song but it’s never been my favourite but hearing it live was amazing and I loved it as much as the others I think he had a guitar for it and stuff it was just nice and chilled.

He went off stage at some point for a wee lmao and when he came back he shook hands with the warm up guy, he did this every time they passed each other my heart ugh, and he came back and said “I was walking back and someone asked me if I was gonna change my suit!” He was so offended aww he also said that someone told him a joke so he told us and yeah wasn’t great he was like “a bear walked into a bar and said I’ll have a pint of beer and a ………. packet of peanuts. The bartender says why the big pause” and we all just went a little quiet and he goes “you know, paws, bears have paws” and he put his hands up like paws and we all laughed and he wasn’t happy with it lmao

Then he did Carolina and omg he fucking loves it you can tell he loves it so much he was coming around the stage making us doing the lalalalas and was just loving every second of it I was like you’re so happy I love youuu Woman was amazing, I was there with my mum and she really doesn’t like it lmao so she looked at me like wtf Sophie why I was like soorryyyy gotta love it tho and ugh it was an experience the lighting was all red and like sexy? I dunno but yeah it was fucking amazing I was shook. During the instrumental he just stood with his back to us but did that like body roll dancing thing he does you know? Where he like bobs his head to the music and stuff? I don’t know if that makes sense but he did that lmao then he finished it and we all went wild lmao

Then he told us another joke but really dragged it out so he told us a line then did a song then told us a line and then a song so it went like this: “Two cupcakes were in an oven” *song* “One cupcake turns to the other and says hey” *song* “Wait where did I get to?” We tell him where he got to “oh yeah yeah okay, one cupcake turns to the other and says hey, the other goes ah! Sign of the times was just yeah wow he dedicated it to Freya, a girl who was a victim in the Manchester attack. He said “this next one, in dedicating to my friend Freya who’s here tonight” and it was really sweet I could see her and they from where I was, she was sat near Anne, and they were all smiling at her. The whole thing was amazing we all sang along I cried cuz Anne was crying like it made me so sad and I felt bad for like watching her so I wasn’t watching but I glanced over and she was wiping her eyes and just sobbing and I just wanted to give her the biggest hug and at the end the people she was with were comforting her so it was okay but it still hurt to see it. He didn’t do “it’s a sign. Of. The. Times” bit that he does towards the end when it’s live I was like damn and i don’t think he did all the of the ending cuz I know there were a few bits where it was just us singing but it was so great to just listen to it it was amazing.

Lou came on to do his make up and he looked at us and was like I don’t wear make up and someone said that he always says that and he said he doesn’t she said he does and then he was like IVE BEEN EXPOSED! He kept moving while she was doing it tho he must be an absolute pest he was looking around and she was putting powder on his and she was sorting his hair and he was turning to look at us and stuff.

We all started chanting for kiwi, my section all started singing it and he just looked over with a smirk and he was like maybe…. all cheeky then deadpanned “no” and I swear we all gasped lmao and ugh he grinned that smile will be the death of me so then he did it he did kiwi. It had a really big drum intro so everyone was like what’s it’s gonna be then kiwi started and we all went mad and it was an outer body experience the lighting was incredible he was going crazy he did the stance with his hand on his hip he was insane it was honestly so just in awe of it and then after he was like “we need to start doing that one last, I get all sweaty” and everyone started cheering for it again and he was like maybe at the end alright?

He was talking to a fan in the audience and he was nodding along to what she was saying then at the end goes “that sounds really interesting but I’ll be honest I didn’t hear any of it” Then he did only angel, he didn’t do the little angel wings okay I hate to disappoint but he didn’t I was kinda sad about it. But during the intro, there was a spotlight coming from behind him so he just went and stood infront of it with his back to us and put his arms out and was like Jesus or something he had his hands shaking and I was like holy fuck what is this and then he sung it HE WENT OVER TO SOMEONE AND HE SUNG A GOOD TEN SECONDS OF IT RIGHT IN HER FACE I WAS LIKE LET THAT BE ME I DONT KNOW HOW SHES STILL ALIVE BUT CONGRATS TO HER 😂 it was amazing though yeah you’ll love it.

Then he did kiwi again and it was just as great as the first time and we were all hyped lmao he threw a bottle of water at us.

The chain and girl crush were mixed in there somewhere and ngl my uneducated ass had never heard either before so listening to Harry sing them a completely new thing, the entire place was quiet except for clapping and we all just listened the Harry. For the chain he sang all parts but the band did a lot of singing too, he says later in the interview that the band are all singers so it was an easy song to do. And for girl crush that was amazing too, ngl Hearing Harry saying “I want her long blonde hair” made my heart skip a beat because I have long blonde hair so yeah that was incredible. Also, in the interview when the chain was brought up and he looked to the band to say how they were all singers, I looked to the band too, now, I don’t want to start any drama and they are probably just friends and stuff but Sarah was sat on Mitch’s lap and they were whispering to each other and giggling and when Harry and grimmy looked over, Adam looked down and shook his head as if he was like “knew you’d get caught” and Clare was smiling at them while then just acted as if everything was fine I was like uhhhhh… k then 😂

Anyway, for the interview we got moved down towards the end so we could see it better because they did it on a different bit of stage to the performance. I was behind him and he kept turning around to chat with the people there and ugh I just had this nice view of the back of his head and his little baby ears and his jaw and ugh man it was good he’s got such broad shoulders damn. Anywayyyyyy…

The girl in front of me was crying, he hadn’t done anything except be there and she was just bawling and omg he turned around and was like “yeh alright? D'yeh need anything? Yeh okay?” I was like baby awwww and he was chatting to them and Lou came and did his make up again and we were like hi Lou and she said hi and that was cute and someone asked was lipstick he was wearing, I thought they asked what foundation but everyone keeps saying lipstick so we’ll go with that lol and he was like not telling

He waved to Anne like he did a cute little wave like a baby wave if that makes sense so he put his hand in a fist and then out of a fist yknow? And she did it back I was like awwww THEN A LITTLE LATER HE GAVE HER A THUMBS UP LIKE CHECKING IT WAS GOOD AND SHE GAVE HIM ONE BACK ANS HIS FACE LIT UP I WAS SCREAMING.

Harry disappeared again and the comedian warm up man came back and was handing out the water bottles and stuff and gave out Harry’s guitar pick and one of the crew was like “alright Andrew that’s enough just leave it now” cuz he was gonna pass out he set lists and he basically got told off lmao but loads of people were asking for drinks so the crew brought us all a load of juice cartons so when Harry gets back we’re all drinking juice so for a bit of the interview we’re all stood there with juice lmao The interview was great, they changed the chairs that they had been in before tho so they were trying to work out how to sit in them cuz if they sat in them properly then then sunk back but if they sat on the end then it was intimidating. Grimmy said he felt like piers Morgan and Harry got out of his seat and was like “I’m off then” I was like oooooo shady They did like a video thing prerecorded HE GOES AND PLAYS BINGO WIRH THE ELDERLY AND NONE OF THEM PICK HIS ALBUM AS THEIR PRIZE HE WAS SO POUTY AND UGH IT WAS SO CUTE LIKE THAT WAS AMAZING he was like “Mary! Why not!” And then they got back in the car and Harry was like “she was asked if she wants shampoo, shampoo is provided there she shouldn’t need it that was a wrapped copy wasn’t even opened” and grimmy was like “I left it there, they’re gonna use it as a coaster” and Harry just laughed but he was hurt. Then they go and do darts but with axes and Harry hits it every time except once while nick is shit at it and cuz Harry won he gets to have a go with two axes and he gets them both on target and we all went wild lmao he was so proud

Grimmy was like okay we’re gonna go back to the beginning talk about the history and we started singing history and it was amaizng it started just a few people but then we all joined in and Harry started tapping his foot along with it for the beat and it was really great. Grimmy also commented on the fact we scream about anything either of them says and demonstrated it he was like “watch this, today” *scream* “i” *scream* “am here” *scream* “with Harry styles” *scream* and Harry laughed at us. They spoke about Dunkirk and the album all the basics really. We all went mad about Dunkirk when they showed pics lmao. Someone yelled “Harry can you wish me luck on my driving test?” And he was like “yeah good luck” and she goes “thanks I’ll let you know how it goes” and he was like what? And looked confused but was just like “yeah that’s great thanks”

Someone asked if he’d sign something for her and he was like yeah you got a pen or paper or anything? And she was like no and he was like well can’t do it can I? Then she got some paper lmao right before the interview started again and it went quiet she goes “Harry I got the paper!” And he chuckled and was like “alright that’s a good start”

They had to film all the little connections between the songs and the interview for when they edit it all together and at one bit Harry didn’t know what song he was supposed to be introducing so grimmy was like “what’s songs next then Harry?” And he was like “uhhhh I mean I don’t know” and they had to redo it. This happened like twice lmao

He kept doing this silly walks too like you could tell he wasn’t bored but he was like playing up a little cuz it was just doing things being put together so they could edit it all later and he was doing like that Irish kick thing and walking all weird and skipping and stuff it was funny. At the end he was calling for Anne he was like “mum, mum, MUM” cuz she was talking to someone and then he was doing all these little signals to tell her what to do next and then he said a final thank you to us all for coming and waiting all day for him and stuff and was running along touching everyone’s hands and okay this might be a reach but I think it happened so I’m hoping it did but he was saying goodbye everyone and I was stood watching cuz I didn’t want to miss anything and he like looked over the crowd to where I was stood and he did this a couple times. I was wearing the sweatshirt he wore, he wore a pink sweatshirt a little while back and I bought it and I wore it yesterday so I’m like “he was looking at me cuz he recognised I was wearing his sweatshirt” then I realised I was stood in line with Anne so he was probably looking over me to her but a girl can dream 😂

So yeah that was my experience, like I said I know this all happened but the order might now be correct just because it’s all a little blurry and sooo much happened. This is everything I remember so there may be a few bits I’ve missed out but this is everything I remember :) xx

This was complete and total domination.

Hey everyone, in case you missed yesterday’s game (like if you were wearing red at a wedding), then it would be good to remind you that Auburn beat Mississippi State 56-23 in a game that might not have even been that close.

The Tigers scored on their first five possessions (all touchdowns), and the first drive they failed on was ended by a fumble that replay proved should be overturned (it wasn’t). Auburn went 7-8 scoring touchdowns, and led 42-9 at halftime. Bo Nix did something that hasn’t been done since Cam Newton, and every phase of the game looked like it’s not only improved, but improved a ton.

First of all, this wasn’t just a night for the football team, as the basketball team finally received its rings for last season’s heroics.

It was truly a celebration from start to finish at Jordan-Hare Stadium with that going on. Gus Malzahn and the football team provided the perfect backdrop for jubilation. A huge reason for that was Bo Nix, who finally seemed to arrive as the five-star quarterback that we thought he’d be. Yeah, he’d won the Oregon and A&M games, but he didn’t look stellar. Last night, he was stellar.

Bo Nix is the first Auburn quarterback since Cam Newton in the 2010 SEC Championship Game to have 300-plus passing yards and 50-plus rushing yards in a single game. Jason Campbell also did it against Tennessee in 2004.

Final stat line for the freshman — 16-21, 335 yards, 2 touchdowns, no interceptions, 7 carries, 56 yards, 1 touchdown. He led all rushers, and was one of nine ball carriers on the night. That’s a huge shift away from what Gus Malzahn has done over the years. By this time he’s usually found a workhorse and ridden him to victory. Now, he’s keeping backs fresh. Apparently, that came per the suggestion of Cadillac Williams, and it’s not surprising. Caddy always had Ronnie Brown, or Tre Smith, or even Brandon Jacobs for a time to keep his legs fresh. It just makes sense that he’d try to get a little more balance going than Gus has used in the past.

Still, last night was Boobee’s show from the start, and he made the play that everyone’s talking about today. On Auburn’s first play from scrimmage, Whitlow took the handoff from Bo Nix and scampered 30 yards into the end zone for the score, rolling over the MSU mascot Bully in the process.

Auburn WR Seth Williams on RB Boobee Whitlow crashing into the Mississippi State mascot on his first touchdown: “I was like, ‘Oh, snap.’ I thought he was gonna bite him... I ran over there. I was finna square up with the dog.’”

Whitlow made up for what happened to Robert Baker and Jerraud Powers by squaring up on the Bulldogs himself and setting the tone for what would be a rather unpleasant night for Mississippi State. Overall, the Bulldogs had a really tough time after getting punched in the mouth early.

And Auburn gets the second half kickoff. It’s like State just realized the midterm exam is printed on both sides.

On Bo Nix, the comparisons to his dad’s Iron Bowl touchdown pass after the game-winner against Oregon were rampant, but there are even more parallels to uncover.

Bo Nix duplicated his father’s 1994 performance against MSU, throwing for 335 yds and 2 TD's. His father threw for 311 yds and 3 TD's against MSU during AU’s 42-18 victory over MSU in 1994. 25 years ago, Patrick Nix had his breakout game as AU’s starter, and Bo Nix did the same.

After the win, there was a bunch of attention on Auburn. Best resume in the country? Probably. How should we rank teams? Based on how good we think they are or how well they’ve actually performed? It’s anyone’s guess, but there was a surge in attention from the unlikeliest of sources.

Normally anti-Auburn outlets were spouting the praises of Gus Malzahn’s team, and for Auburn fans used to the past, it’s tough. We’ve all gone through the “Auburn plays well when ranked medium” experiences — and it’s fairly true. The Tigers’ best recent seasons have come when they weren’t ranked highly to start. They were under the radar. And when Auburn has been given that recognition, oftentimes they’ve underachieved. Maybe it’s time to embrace it.

And maybe you shouldn’t do the whole Turnover Chain thing when you’re getting spanked.

If there was one area where Auburn can look to improve, it’s in ball security. Auburn officially fumbled four times last night, but one of these — see below — wasn’t a fumble, and all parties agreed on the air before the officials let the play stand.

On the others, Bo Nix had a fumble go out of bounds on a long run, Boobee Whitlow averted disaster when Anthony Schwartz dove on a ball that sat on the ground farrrrrr too long, and then the backups lost one late. It’s perfect for Gus to instill some more fire into these guys ahead of the Florida trip.

We haven’t even mentioned the defense, and it might be because it seems so pedestrian when they truck someone like they did last night. We’re used to them doing that now. Derrick Brown and Marlon Davidson were downright violent at times, and I think Owen Pappoe had some of his best plays despite being lost in the zone read game at times. K.J. Britt should be an All-SEC backer this year, and Roger McCreary is turning into a real live cover corner. It’s beautiful to see.

In the end, this was a near-perfect game from a couple of standpoints. We saw the progression of the offense and there were enough things to work on that they can’t afford to loaf through the week with Florida on the horizon. Oh, and you won’t find any Gus naysayers in the picture below. It’s quite a different scene from what you might get in a blowout win across the state.

Now, are you ready for a huge, huge, huuuuuuuuuuge game down south? Auburn goes to the Swamp for the first time in 12 years (since Wes Byrum made it twice), and 25 years after Bo Nix’s dad led the game-winning drive in that stadium, and went 28-51 for 319 yards and 3 touchdowns on the day.

College Gameday will be there, the place will be packed, and Auburn gets a chance to cement its place in the top ten with what would be the biggest win by anyone this season so far. Gigantic week coming everyone, enjoy the fanfare, and War Eagle!
