one thing i'm curious about in regards to how Ezran will, inevitably, be pulled into the main "whatever tf happens at the starscraper / possible plot repercussions" might tie back into his bond with Zym, and thus bring them (and Aanya??) into the story together. Zym is quite literally in the stars in the S4/S4 intros cloud wise, he's the titular character and Aaravos previously wanted him for power consumption and he's presumably not any less powerful or useful now even if that isn't Aaravos' main goal so like... sky dragons rarely have kids and he's the heir to the draconic royal throne, if Zym is required for one of Aaravos' plans it might end up being a "Claudia went to the castle to get the prison and the dragon" but since the prison there is a fake... Zym consolation prize?
But I don't think the show would repeat the s3 / arc 1 conflict of "we just gotta Protect/recover the dragon prince" either so...?

Is Soren gonna be a big part of the main group (Ezran, Callum, and Rayla)?
Oh yea, for sure! He’s going to be Ezran’s main protector for the foreseeable future, so he’ll always be at his side. Wherever Ez ends up going, Soren will be there with him.
And, in spite of everything that has happened, I’m sure that Callum and Soren see each other as friends. There might be some tension moving forward (I don’t think Callum was all that appreciative of Soren’s sorta “apology”), and that tension might play a big role in s4, but at the end of the day, the boys are the only family that Soren has left. Callum described Soren as part of his second family, back when he didn’t know anyone else. But now, Soren will probably see himself more like the big brother of the group than ever before.
He might also bond a bit with Rayla. The two of them lost their families to Dark Magic in one way or another. If Rayla reveals to him what happened to her parents, Soren’s probably going to want to make up for his father’s sins and set things right. Likewise, they’ll both have reasons to be gunning for Claudia--for Soren, she’s his only remaining family. For Rayla, she’s her only chance to find that bag of coins Viren teased in front of her.
They also have more in common than either would like to admit.

And not for nothing, but this season he was definitely the MVP, or at least the top contender! He helps Ezran, Corvus, and Opeli escape from Katolis, all without Viren and even Aaravos(!) catching on. Soren organizes getting Ezran back to Callum and Rayla, knowing they need him.
Then, as Viren’s army is approaching the Storm Spire, he hightails out of there to warn the trio that Viren is coming for the Dragon Prince, giving them a fighting chance. Soren rallies the gang with a thoughtful speech (”the only way to stop this is to look evil in the face and say, no more!”). He’s certainly not the only important player here, but a lot of things went right for our heroes thanks to him.
Soren’s got your back, guys!
