New CAOS Trailer, New Theories, Part I (Episodes 12-14)

We’re less than two weeks out from the next 9 episodes of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. A new trailer has dropped, and stills and speculation are trickling out slowly (very slowly). Over the next few weeks, assuming there’s time, I’ll be collecting theories, stills, and spoilers here and in Part II.

But first, for those who are trying to remain pure:

Chapter 12 (S2/Ep1): The Epiphany

We ended CAOS Chapter 11 with Three Demon Kings coming out of the Greendale mines bearing gifts. My personal theory is that they are coming to Sabrina, to “celebrate” her dark baptism.

Update: CBR’s review calls them “rebellious Kings of Hell” and “angry, entitled Plague Kings.”

I don’t think these demons will come to adore her, but will instead act as antagonists. In another Netflix preview video, Sabrina is shown fighting one of the Demon Kings with a spell:

So my theory is that the gifts they bring will be more like curses.

Based on IMDB, one of the Demon Kings will be Asmodeus, who is associated with lust.

Another will be Purson, who knows hidden things, and has the ability to see the past, present, and future. My theory is that he will show Sabrina the moment when her father gave her as a baby to the Dark Lord.

Part of me wonders if Sabrina is really a Spellman, or if she is the daughter of the Dark Lord (with Edward Spellman playing the Joseph role). If she is not a true Spellman, this could be the loophole by which she escapes her contract with the Devil.

Other episode 1 spoilers:

Madam Satan becomes the new principal of Baxter High.

Susie Putnam is now Theo.

Sabrina competes with Nick to be the academy’s “Top Boy.”

Chapter 13 (S2/Ep2): The Passion Of Sabrina Spellman

In this episode, I think we’ll see a play:

The Passion of Lucifer Morningstar, by Father Faustus Blackwood.

Starring Nick as Lucifer...

...and Sabrina with brown hair...

...with an unhappy Madam Satan looking on.

Other episode 2 spoilers:

Roz and Harvey get together.

Theo faces bullying.

Sabrina starts out as an understudy.

Chapter 14: Lupercalia

Also known as the Valentine’s Day episode.

Nick and Sabrina attend prom at Baxter High (and Hilda gets a transformation):

Things I enjoyed about caos s2:

(spoilers obvs!!)

The way they dealt with consent

The way they dealt with the idea of loosing your virginity

How soft Nick was with Sabrina. This man respects his gf so much.

When Sabrina ran for top boy they didn't say that she was running for top girl and that Nick was running for top boy. They were both running for top boy.

Not only did they keep Top Boy but no one even batted an eye about it. Hell yeah.

The solidarity between Ros and Sabrina about Harvey.

Ros's fucking FORMIDABLE respect she had towards Sabrina when she wanted to date Harvey but wasn't sure if Sabrina was okay with it.

Sabrina tops.

Zelda's reaction when she woke up from Blackwood's spell.

Seeing Zelda in her goth clothes again.

The Lupercalia outfits for the girls. I may or may not have had to pause the episode to admire them.

I know we all love this one but Nick prioritizing what Sabrina is comfortable with over what everyone else expected of them throughout the whole Lupercalia episode.

The "I'm not gonna do it!" sequences in ep2.

Dorian Gray covered and blood and just marginally angry that a person shot him in the neck.

"You shot me. You bitch." (Proceeds to murder shooter with the very same arrow that was just in his neck)

Dorian Gray in general.

Ambrose and Prudence's relationship. I don't love burry your gays but their relationship ended up to be so interesting and developmental for both of them.

Ambrose and Prudence holding hands and trying not to cry, feeling the wounds of their manipulator, being unsure of what comes next, despairing together.

Sabrina tops.

Prudence cutting off the head of that statue before going off on a quest to murder Blackwood. bde off the charts.

The Weird Sisters condemning and almost killing the witch hunters. "We are the Weird Sisters. The 1 in 3." gave me chills.

"I am the Dark Lord's sword!"

Lilith joining forces with the Spellmans because if Lucifer wasn't going to give her the crown then she was going to do it her fucking self.

Theo saying that not only do the basketball boys respect him but if he was going to change his body he wouldn't do it for anyone but himself.

Theo being the most courageous of the mortal gang.

Hilda being upstanding to men and oppressive systems.

Hilda never abandoning her love for Sabrina and being the maternal figure that she needed.

Nick wholesomely and genuinely getting excited about occult comic books and wanting to show them to Sabrina.

Nick collapsing into Sabrina's arms and sobbing at the end of Lupercalia.

Nick's foreheadhead kisses.

Nick being visibly torn over helping Sabrina or keeping her safe and to himself, but always in the and wholeheartedly knowing that her life is hers and that his job as her s.o. is to support her.

"You taught me how to love!"

Just. The Lupercalia episode. That's it.

Sabrina's look in the final ep with the dress and the mask. I may have uhhh felt things when I saw that.

Listen, I'm not saying that it's cannon that Sabrina tops, but it's cannon that Sabrina tops.

I could go on for days. I can only hope that they'll take their time to make something really amazing and thought out for part 3 (if there is a part three, but I don't want to think that).
