I mean, she only has one outfit and it's a neat one, but I think her canon outfit is overshadowed by most of her alive designs from @stargazer-sappho's fancomic :))

Tbh I wish Hilda had explored some more ghost designs because while the simplicity is super nice, they all look virtually the same and it would be nice to see some things like, idk, old clothes or favorite items, kinda like some of the draugens

Abigail Draugen for the character ask

Headcanon A:  Abigail's ship was one of the ones involved in that massive sea battle that left the debris field we see in The Beast of Cauldron Island. That was the day she cut her teeth; her ship was part of a small pirate squadron who tried to sack the port, and got just about beaten back by the local garrison fleet. A lot of pirates ended up sunk that day, cursed to roam the seas, but she escaped for the moment.

Headcanon B: Abigail has an awful singing voice (being dead will partially do that to you, but she was never any good at it); she loves to join in sea shanties anyway, but the rest of her crew have to cover their ears sometimes. It's that bad.

Headcanon C: I don't think Abigail will ultimately be happy settling down with her dad at the graveyard; I think she left on bad terms in the first place, wanting to sail the seas, and that wanderlust will catch up with her again. Once the happiness wears off, she'll be left feeling cooped up and longing for the ghost ship again.

Headcanon D: Abigail knows a lot of swear words, she just refuses to use them around a kid like Hilda, even when trying to kill her.

The fact that there are two characters in hilda who have the same name (Abigail) is actually a nice thing because there are multiple different people in the world with the same name and it gives the sjow a sense of reality if you understand what I'm saying

The way this show merges complete fantasy with a more realistic-y feeling is one of the things I love the most about it (even if it this case I sort of makes tagging confusing fjnfnfnf)! I’ve always liked how technically they’re in the real world, yet there are so many fantasy elements in it. Like, they don’t call Woffs magical creatures, even though they sort of are, they’re just Woffs you know? There’s something about Hilda that makes me feel like maybe magic is right here in our world and I just can’t see it
