Today's prompt threw me :) growing up in Belize, Central America snow is not something you are familiar with unless you travel. Once in 2010 i saw snow in a Chicago winter, and it was just like in the movies, bu too cold for dis gyal ya. So i tried to think of which fruit, (google gave me a snowberry/waxberry/gooseberry but em, it explains that it is not edible) so i thought about what is and good 'ole craboo came to mind, it has that white powdery-looking texture when you bite into it, and we do tend to do milk or cream type preparations with it (ice cream, a lovely flavour if you have not tried) and or eat it with condensed milk. My grandma used to make a condensed milk, evaporated milk, cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg concoction which was so good when frozen. (i do plan to revisit these sketches with colour when inktober done. What's fruit without colour?) from wikipedia: Byrsonima crassifolia is a species of flowering plant bearing fruit in the acerola family, Malpighiaceae, that is native to tropical America. Common names include changunga, muruci, murici, nanche, nance, nancite, chacunga, craboo, kraabu, savanna serrette (or savanna serret) and golden spoon. In Jamaica it is called hogberry (plural hogberries). #snow #inktober2019 #craboo https://www.instagram.com/p/B3gd7NWltNK/?igshid=14kg1hhyzst8w
