TBH I’m kind of interested in therapy training for the sole purpose of knowing how to treat the characters I write. I enjoy thinking about & writing therapy fics, and honestly I feel like I’m the therapist since I’m writing the therapist to play off of the character, but I’m like.... not qualified....

#chalk #the best I can do is think about the character's reactions to things and try to choose the best outcomes #but I mean I know therapy is messy and doesn't always work like that #which takes the pressure off me (and also keeps it fun and interesting to write) #how would I treat this manipulative aggressive guy with a paper-thin ego #it's tricky #when he feels threatened or looked down on he gets manipulative and / or aggressive #and when he doesn't get what he wants he gets absolutely and completely stubborn and will dig his heels in and Refuse Everything
