genuinely it is really funny to me that the above the cut gloria swanson propaganda is like oh she took the role in sunset boulevard when other actress didn’t want it bc no one else wanted to be seen as old or a has been. bc like obviously the submitter didn’t know there was going to be a bette v gloria poll but like. it’s sooo funny to have that be the propaganda against bette, who had like four oscar nominations and one win for playing aging and/or has been actresses lol. the first one being when she was like 26-27 lmao. I think she was okay with playing roles like that I think she fucking thrived in them.
