Bruh, I’m never not confused about whether he is supposed to be pro-second chance or NOT pro-second chance. Because he’ll be like “nobody should die because second chances” but also condemn someone the SECOND they do something he considers wrong. He’s like, if you do something wrong, you’re not allowed to die, you must live, but condemned for the rest of your life and atone and face every scorn on Earth endlessly for it. By “second chance”, what he really means is “I think everyone who makes mistakes should live hell on earth”?

(Sounds about right with how he treats Jason and Hal, I suppose) (Except like... the throat-slitting stuff and the beating to death stuff uhhh...)
