#we shared a cab with a friend cuz our houses are like 2 min apart #and on our way she was like can i say something blunt and im like ya ofc #and she said #the more i get to know you the more i think you'd suit something different than medicine #and im like lmao its true #i never wanted med school actually-my dream was to study history & english lit #but here i am #i do like it now ig im looking forward to doing psychiatry #but damn i cant help but think of what couldve been yknow #i was an A+ student and got A* in english and english lit as a first language #i kept winning literature competitions all throughout high school #i was even featured in newspapers for it all-had i applied for english lit id have a strong application #i cried so much when i was made to choose medicine #but i still did my best bc i dont know how not to #i sabotage myself in ways only i can take note of #and when others notice i hide it cuz i hate pity #idk
