Imagine if people shat on every Final Fantasy game that didn't have Final Fantasy VIII's Junction system, and they made it out to be an inherent flaw with every game that releases, and when a new game is on the way they hope for Junctioning to be added only to be inevitably let down, and when you tell them that it's unlikely that we'll see it return again, they plug their ears going "LALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU" and they call you a bully or something.

That's how some Tamagotchi fans are with gene-mixing.
