captain flint for the character thing

(There’s gonna be spoilers so @ people who haven’t watched the show or haven’t finished it yet: don’t read any of this)

Why I like them: HE’S PERFECT?? He’s never done anything wrong in his entire life and we can all agree on that, right?? right. he never killed gates if you skip that episode

Why I don’t: LOL?

Favorite episode (scene if movie): aaaaaa this is hard. I guess.. XII (for obvious reasons), XIX and XXXVIII

Favorite season/movie: I loved season 2 because we got to see his past and who James McGraw was, how he died and how Captain Flint was born, but season 4 is my favourite season so do what you want with that information

Favorite line: the dragons in the dark speech. I mean, every speech he gave was amazing and beautifully written and delievered, but to have a gay man who has fough and lost everything to a homophobic colonialist empire say those words, I can’t even begin to explain how important it is and how it makes me feel. I get tears in my eyes every time I watch that scene

Favorite outfit: when he walks in miranda’s kitchen wearing that big white shirt asjkcnalsd i love that he wears his husband’s clothes :)) also the s1 coat was something

OTP: silverflint and flinthamilton, i truly don’t have a favourite one. My multishipping ass also loves silverflintmadi but that’s really just me wanting silver to get all the love he can get

Brotp: flint x gates. Hal really did mean a hell of a lot to Flint

Head Canon: (post-canon) silver actually paid to get him and thomas out of the plantation so that they could live somewhere in peace, but he writes love letters to silver every day to keep his memory alive, even though he knows john will never read them 

Unpopular opinion: i don’t think the relationship he had with miranda was romantic. Miranda was one of most important figures in flint’s life; she loved him, she cared for him in a way that no one else did, and he loved her too, but not in that way. I don’t think he was bi, either. And you have to consider that after all that happened with Thomas, he probably felt like he wasn’t even deserving of Miranda’s love and affection. 

A wish: i want him to get all the books in the world so that he can read them out loud while thomas and madi carefully listen to him and john casually sleeps somewhere nearby 

An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: well, idk if that counts but…i really feared he was gonna die. I genuinely thought there were no other options but I was still hoping he wouldn’t. So glad I held onto that hope.

5 words to best describe them: brave, angry, tired, capable of an incredible amount of love (and im counting it as one word), murderous
