oh lisa...

ok i do want to say. first and foremost. it is entirely possible do feel numb when they got on medication and im not going to discount that. HOWEVER. in my PERSONAL experience with depression, therapy, and medication... a lot of the times that "numb" is experiencing "stable" like you're not feeling the super highs and super lows anymore you've tapered off and entered a more... normal? ??? range of emotions im getting sleepy so i cant remember the name of it but my therapist has described tolerance and vibrations and whatever and when youre in a Downtrend you are depressed but when you're Activated (angry, worried, anxious, etc.) you're Doing things and the goal is not to seesaw as much so violently into both ends but find a safe middle ground where you're supposed to be able to manage ur emotions well. idk what's going on w lisa i cant speak to her specifics or anything but like . im fairly sure that the idea that medication "numbs" you and turns you into a zombie is not as common as media portrays? if not entirely misrepresented or a misconception? i could be totally wrong in that and am only speaking from personal experience so take that as you will

where i do i even start?

maybe with the little things he does for you

asra takes your necessities for when you need to go and leaves them on a shelf next to the door whenever he sees them strewn about the shop

whenever you ask him where they are, he gives this little grin like >:3 bc he gets a kiss every time you ask for them

and let's take a moment to discuss how asra recieves kisses, shall we?

he's leaning into you with a hand cupping your cheek and locking your lips together, he always, always sighs against your lips

it's the most satisfying feeling for him

if you cup his cheeks and pull him into you for a kiss, he's humming low in his chest

and you tease him calling him your cute little kitten after pulling away

but if you choose to take him by surprise and bruise his lips and kiss him hard enough to knock him off kilter and leave him disheveled he's looking so very surprised and breathless afterwards

it's only then he'll point you in the direction of your belongings

if you already know where they are then sometimes you'll catch him pouting bc he doesn't get a kiss like he was expecting to

he's such a sweetheart

you have morning walks through the market, i feel like i should mention that

only because he holds your hand the entire time and is practically clinging to you as you point out new shops to him and he hums, noting and asking if it's something you want to observe a little more closely

during that little walk with him, he'll ask what you have planned for the day and buys you p u m p k i n b r e a d ✨

asra will walk you back to the shop and make sure that you have everything you need before he takes off for the day

but if he has to leave on a long journey away, he will often find himself spending a lot of his time at home or going with you, if he's allowed, wherever you may go

asra gets a little clingy when he knows he has to leave, if he finds a moment of peace between your errands and you cannot find a nice quiet reserve in a quaint dinner theater or his favorite little library then kudos

he's guiding you away from prying eyes, in the shadows of the vendor stands and gives you these wide hopeful eyes that look like someone had taken a pair of moons and hung them to sparkle within his eyes

it's unfair really because how can you say no? especially when he promises just one kiss

now this is how asra gives his kisses

an arm snug around your waist and pressing your body flush to his before his lips trace the corner of yours

and he knows he's being mean teasing you like this

and so like clockwork, his lips quirk upwards

then he gives you what you want, pressing his lips to yours, biting ever so softly with tender promise and somehow broken when you give him access to your mouth because he roughly sucks trying to memorize and devour you all at the same time

it's easy to lose your breath with him and his hand on your neck, holding you close to him until he pulls away and that smirk of his parts from between swollen lips

his kiss is the kind to leave you stupid and dumbly nodding when he's the one who promised he only wanted one kiss

it's easy to lose time with him and he respects that you have work to do and so he'll keep track of time somehow when he knows you have an important task at hand

but if it somehow involves lucio and it's not for anyone that you or he deems as a close friend then he's not giving a shit and proceeds to makeout with you

but later on in the early morning when he knows he has to go, he's already packed to leave and dressed to go

you're always asleep for this part but he kneels at your side of the bed and smiles wider than anyone has ever seen

but sadly no one will ever see the extent of how deeply infatuated and in love he is with you

rubs your cheek with his fingers and loves how your head lulls forward so that he's cupping your cheek

he kisses your forehead and then temple, your nose and your chin, just kisses everywhere

somehow makes you smile a bit in your sleep

"i love you." he promises, hands curling around the side of your neck so his forehead is to yours

smiling wider when your sigh fans over his face

"my lovely baby." then a kiss in between "my precious baby" another kiss "my sweet baby."

just choruses and choruses of praised that go unheard and unanswered until he spouts his love one more time to earn a murmur of a breathy 'i love you' whispered from you

he'll give you a sweet smile when you wake up from your warm, dizzying slumber and press a kiss to your lips murmuring 'i have to leave' in a soft rasp and he nearly gives into the despair he feels when you frown and lean into his palms

"i love you, but i'll be back in a a few days"

he'll give you a kiss, making sure you fall back to sleep before he departs

the shop definitely feels different, a little isolated and there's a partial lack of warmth to the small space but faust is there to keep you company

it usually involves her tagging along on your errands and sometimes come when you visit julian or ventures with you to go see muriel

on the days he's gone asra sends back little trinkets every other day

sometimes he'll check on you and once his face accidentally showed up while you were bathing

blushes every time you mention it

but most of the time he'll check on you when he's absolutely sure you've been sleeping nicely

loves popping into your dreams and surprising you and running to him and making him fall puts him in the best mood whilst he's away

cue his ever mysterious smile and rubbing your cheek and giving you a kiss bc if anything he wishes you were there with him, but he'll tell you he doesn't want to risk your safety by bringing you along

little talks about what you've been doing at home and you asking about how he's doing

he's got a knack for being able to tell when you miss him

hugs you and nudges his nose against your cheek to make you look at him

you know it can't be avoided, but not having him home does give the shop a lonsome feel and you worry about those pearly tufts on his head

asra has a fair amount of clothes, but the ones he wears around the house and things he works in he usually, if not always takes them with him leaving you with his croptops and things

he'll have you in his arms, smiling when he's nose to nose with you "i have a surprise for you" and whenever you mirror that smirk of his, he laughs so brightly and there's no exception this time when his face presses to the side of yours

"no- no it's actually there. i left you something before i had to depart" he'll sigh and watch you follow the little semblance of him around the room until you find his sleeping shirt

he nearly gives that same grin as the morning you left him when you find it and thank him repeatedly bc he knows you sleep better with him

but when you pull your sleep shirt over your head, his eyes get a little darker because you and your pretty smile wasn't the only thing he missed

almost refuses to let you leave his lap, gives you quite a few kisses and let's his hands trail bc he loves seeing you in his clothes

when it's time for you to wake up, he'll only leave when he knows that your body's teetering between trying to sleep more and trying to wake

it's a little sad when you wake up and he's not next to you on the bed

but when he comes back and gets his things settled at home he gets so excited to see you

goes out to get you things to make your favorite dinner, but he's not very fond of the little spats he might get in when someone actually pisses him off

when he goes home you can tell something's off when he doesn't notice you on his bed straight away

his lips only slightly pursed and brows barely furrowed, his real give away is him not putting on his favorite apron

step in and stop him from ruining his shirt though

this time when asra smiles and you can see his exasperation melting right off his shoulders

he'll stop to sprinkle kisses all over your face

but when he continues dinner, whether you're sitting on the counter and pulling him close while he mixes or behind him as he's measuring things out

he ALWAYS falters when you kiss his nape and leans into the counter with sigh

is a mess for you and will not admit it when you tease him about it

but when you murmur about him needing to talk, he'll open up about his days as you kiss his neck from the length of his travelling to accomidations, weather then the imp at the market who didn't even deserve to be called an imp bc that'd be an insult to actual imps

and when his words come clipped, he'll turn and kiss you the way he wanted when he was gone

breathless, hard, and absolutely slow against your lips

and he'll press himself firmly to your front so you can feel the effect you have on him before he pulls away like he didn't just try to stick his tongue down your throat

yeah, the self control he has is honestly questionable but what can you expect when he comes home

welcome home, asra ✨

you both have a tradition of going to uptown vesuvia for a little night on the town

it consists of asra giving you soft kisses that last too long and his fingers cupping your face and the frequent feeling of his lips curling up against yours

anyone who doesn't personally know asra, which is pretty much everyone bc of his mysterious persona, is always baffled and awed by his appearance

and so it causes wide eyes and gaped mouths

this is only when asra feels like people need a reminder of just who you are to him

that's always paired with him pulling your side flush to his chest so his violet eyes become lidded and it looks like he's whispering

most of the time its just him giving your cheek a little flurry of kisses, but when its not— wheww

everyone look out🥴

he'll take you to enjoy a last glimmer of sun before the evening starts and usually that means going to his favorite sunspot in the city

then taking you for a light dinner within a theater where julian may or may not drop in much to asra's dismay

enjoys his company as much as the next, but he wants to spend an evening alone with you

seeing julian while on a dare with you brings asra's more risqué behavior

cue his fingers on your knee, inching up to rub your inner thigh whether julian is giving you a smile or not

fingers would definitely grip your thigh before the mildly interested look would turn into a warmth that matched that of a room lit up solely with sunset rays

"enjoying yourself?" paired with his cheeky smile would be enough to make your words catch in your throat when your eyes caught his dialated pupils.

and ahhh him leaning over, pressing more of his weight into his thumb caught the bend of your thigh and sent shivers up your spine

lips catching beneath your jaw to hum a laugh against your skin while he sucked a mark into your neck before he sat back in time to find julian marching over to the both of you

he effortlessly would pay attention to julian while rubbing circles on your thigh and moving to tease the inside of your leg when the auburn's attention turned to you

asra could keep the teasing up all night if you'd let him, but yank him along

he'll take you dancing and rub up your sides, giving you little kisses throughout the night with these occasional soft gazes where he looks like he just might shed a tear

later on he'll take you for what was actually supposed to be dinner and make sure you get your fill, never ever telling you how much the bill is

of course he'll let you pay along with him but he always manages to sneak the cash you tried to pay with back to you

not that you know about his little habit

the dinner and walk home is full of asra's little confessions, humming a tune and kissing you softly as he ought to

he'd be near exhausted when he gets back to the shop with you, running his hands to mess up his curls and watch you kick off your shoes and lean on the counter

he'll stop for a second trying to burn the image of you leaning on his counter with a wide smile

"look at me" he'll hum and before you can even look over your shoulder his lips would be on yours

the kisses after a night inside or out like that were tender and warm and giving him plenty of time for his arms come around craddle you to him so gently

he's so good about helping you wind down for the night

helping you ready yourself for bed and bringing you some clothes so you can bathe together

that's always spent with him caressing and rubbing your back and any other of his most adored areas if you'll allow him to

he can't sleep well if he knows youre just a minute or so away

so if you could be getting ready for bed or he could have an early day tomorrow, but he wants you beside him

sits up all sleepy and waiting for you to come to bed

even asks for you to speak to him

will be slick about admitting how he loves hearing your voice before he sleeps but he still looks a tad shy

he's so pretty when he sleeps and usually ends up falling asleep first but yknow
