I feel like the saturation of your color palettes and the line weight you use stand out to me? And the posing of the characters is always really natural, and the way they really feel like they're in the foreground

oooh interesting that’s good to know! color is one of the things i’ve been trying to get better at, but unless i’m color-picking (and sometimes even despite that) i think i tend towards colors that feel soft and almost like. powdery? the line weight thing is definitely more deliberate, lines n shapes are fun ­:))

anyway i’m v happy to hear my poses feel natural tysm!! that’s one of my big things and i’m always trying to make sure characters i draw feel like People

#splashasks #anonymous #if you’ve been around a while you’ve probably seen me ramble about posing n movement n shit at least once or twice #the better i get at anatomy the more i worry about things starting to look too stiff and rigid #but i haven’t gotten to the point where that’s a problem yet and i don’t think my tendency toward dynamic posing will let me stray too far #there’s this sort of struggle between movement and technical correctness that i have thus far stubbornly refused to actually compromise on #i suppose i’ll have to eventually but on the other hand tracy butler didn’t and her stuff absolutely slaps #i should reread lackadaisy one of these days
