LATATA CHAPTER 1: NEW MOON is the first mini album of the South Korean girl group Artemis. The mini album consists of 7 songs, having one title track. It is the starting point of both the group's debut and the latata saga. It was released in September 27th, 2019.

Tracklist.

1. Intro: Enchanted. (Insp. Ateez's Intro: Long Journey)

Production: Hyojin, EDEN.

Lyrics: Hyojin.

A one minute and twenty seconds long introduction, with phrases sang by all the members. Is a discourse of self-empowerment, talking about how they are arriving with the maximum of strength and that they will take what is theirs by right. Then, ending with the phrase "this is our beggining".

2. LATATA. (G-Idle's LATATA)

Production: Hyojin.

Lyrics: Hyojin.

A title with a catchy sound, getting slowly more upbeat until the chorus arrives. "Latata" is used as a spell to lure people into their charms, to make you like them and put them in your mind. Latata does its job as a debut song and showcases all the members abilities, officialy introducing them to the world.

3. Witches Night. (Insp. Itzy's That's a No No)

Production: Hyojin.

Lyrics: Hyojin, Kamlai, Nayeon.

With a more upbeat rhythm than the title, Witches Night introduces the group's witch concept more directly. Is a song that talks about how magic and unique they are, it also talks about celebrating all of your traits and not being what the others want you to be, uniqueness is what makes us humans.

4. Neverland. (Insp. Blackpink's Forever Young)

Production: Hyojin.

Lyrics: Hyojin.

Neverland goes for a beat that automatically reminds the listener of the good times summer provides. The lyrics are inviting their fans to party with them in Neverland, where they'll forever have all the fun that they want. But, when the ending comes closer and the beat reaches its climax, the moon rises, they don't want to let go of their friends, saying that they'll stay there and party forever.

5. Coven. (Insp. 2NE1's Gotta Be You)

Production: Hyojin, EDEN.

Lyrics: Hyojin, Nayeon, Sujin.

While still being upbeat, Coven serves as the link between the upbeat side and the slower side of the album, making the transition smoother. The song talks about the bond and union they want to share with fans, comparing that union to a coven. It also talks about the group's bond itself, describing the members feelings for their fans and each other.

6. Universe. (Insp. Yves's D-1)

Production: Hyojin.

Lyrics: Hyojin, Chang Chang.

A song with a slower pace. Universe talks about the beauty that exists in the little things of life, inviting everyone to enjoy the moment and forget about any bad thoughts and stress.

7. The Way. (Insp. Red Velvet's So Good)

Production: Hyojin.

Lyrics: Hyojin, Rowan.

The ending song of the mini album happily deserves its title, closing it perfectly. The song invites the fans to join them in their way, their path in this journey. Talking about their efforts to arrive in this point and the efforts they'll have to put in the future, but, with time, they hope to recieve more and more support from the fans they love so much.

LATATA's FIRST 24 HOURS.

The LATATA mv got 3.8 million views in 24 hours.

Which got them third place in most viewed kpop girl group debut MV in 24 hours, only being behind of IZ*ONE and ITZY.

The Atiny fandom contributed a lot to the views and the starlight fandom itself. A lot of non-Atiny's went to check it out, too, since kq already had a reputation for creating incredible performers.

Overall, the first 24 hours were pretty good. Album sales also went well.

LATATA'S ACHIEVEMENTS.

Latata took home two music show wins. Setting a record for being the fastest artists of the label to get their first win.

Their first win was in The Show, while their second win was in M!Countdown.

I don't even need to say everybody was so happy for them!

The song slowly grew its position in the charts. The mini album reached its peak at number four in Billboard's World Albums chart and at number six on the gaon album chart.

#EverydayEverynightLATATA trended on twitter on their debut day.

All of the girls were often praised for their stage presence and live vocals stability, quickly gaining them recognition for being master performers, especially for a rookie group.

Fans also found it cute how they looked so happy and having fun while performing, and it only added to Latata's mood.

Ateez also openly showed their support to the girls several times and they really liked the song, too. (the members were seen dancing to the choreography in their vlives too many times-)

LATATA ERA'S STYLING.

Hyojin's hair was long and usually wavy, her hair color was a chocolate brown to dirty blonde ombre.

Sujin went full on long hot pink hair, styled wavy in some performances and straight in others.

Kamlai had her hair straight and in dark blonde.

Nayeon had long copper hair with bangs, usually with a hairstyle of some sort.

Chang Chang had long, curly dark brown hair.

Rowan had long hair, often wavy, her color was medium brown.

Now, going to the actual clothing styling

Sometimes, they wore the mono-colored, boho-inspired outfits from the MV and some variations.

When not, they went for a more feminine, yet girl crush concept.

They wore a lot of patterns, too.

They also did a special stage for Neverland, which caught everyone off guard since most of the fandom placed their bets in Witches Night.

The girls wore fresh, chic, summery looks, with sneakers. The main color palette was violet, white and black.
