“He totally wants me.” Josie crows, flipping her dark hair away from her shoulder.

“In your dreams.” Tara rolls her eyes, and Josie scoffs in response.

“What’re you getting at?”

“That’s the only place he’ll ever fuck you.” the redhead replies, blowing a bubble with her chewing gum before continuing. “In your dreams.”

Y/N snickers at Tara’s wit. To an outsider it seems cruel—but Josie was a bitch, no way around it and she didn’t seem to like Y/N’s subtle laughter at her expense.

“Oh, piss off.” she gives her a look of annoyance. “You’re just the one he shags whenever he’s lonely.”

“If he was lonely, he’d be shagging all of us.” Y/N takes a drag from the joint in her hand and hands it to Tara after exhaling. “Not just me.”

“Enough, already!” Summer huffs, wavy blonde locks flowing over her shoulder after cocking her head towards Josie after Tara hands her the joint. “What’s your damage, Jo?”

“Jealousy is an ugly disease.” Y/N quips. “Get well soon.”

Their last song, Kiwi, was almost over. She was annoyed that she’d missed it, but she couldn’t wait for Harry to come off stage so they could get out of there.

“I’m not jealous of you. You’re his temporary distraction. He’ll break your hippie heart eventually, and I’ll be there to pick up the pieces.”

Y/N doesn’t want to admit it, but the churlish remark left a killer bruise on her heart. She’s not an idiot, she knows the chances of them ending up together forever are slim to none. It’s called living in the moment, okay?

“You’ll just shamelessly flirt with him, in a sad, pathetic attempt to screw him and he’ll blatantly ignore you,” Y/N shrugs. “Same old, same old, right?”

Y/N was sure there was red in Josie’s eyes, but she didn’t care.

“You were bangin' New York, thank you for havin’ us!”

“There’s m’girl.” a few moments later Harry comes off stage, making a beeline for her, giving a cheeky smirk, grabbing her hand and pulling her into his chest. He glances over to the group of girls standing a few feet away.

“Sorry girls, can’t chill t’night.” he steps away to slip off his guitar, putting it into its case before handing it to Mitch. She giggled as he grabbed her hand, pulling her into his side before tugging her towards the back door. “Got plans with this one.”

She could feel Josie’s glare, but she couldn’t have cared less. When she was with Harry, nothing else mattered.

His arm is slung over her shoulder as they rush across the parking lot to get back onto the tour bus before any fans could see. She bursts into giggles when one arm lifts her up before playfully spinning her around, hands gripping his shoulders. He carries her the rest of the way, hands under her thighs.

“Did y’like the show?”

She could feel his heart pounding against her hands as they slid up his clothed chest. “Loved it, always do.” he’s kissing the vulnerable skin of her neck as she’s speaking and she’s leaning into his lips. “Didn’t get to watch Kiwi, Josie was down my throat.”

“Again?” he frowns, pulling back. “What’s she sayin’?”

“Just the usual sugar baby bullshit.”

Harry couldn’t roll his eyes harder, annoyance and anger mixing through him.

“She does it to get a rise outta you, baby. Don’t listen to her.”

“She’s jealous.” she pauses, sighing at the feeling of his soft lips on her skin again. “Wants you to fuck her.”

“S’that so?” she slips her legs out of his hold, feet touching the first step as he sets her down on the pavement. He’s looking down at her, eyes swirling with desire. He dips his head down, purring into her ear.

“Well, maybe you should have something else down your throat instead.”

She could hear her heartbeat in her ears as she stood frozen under his touch, Harry’s finger lightly drawing on her shoulder.

“Yeah, maybe.”
