People who say ending the show with Jaehaera being queen is the perfect ending to House of the Dragon make me laugh. They say that ending the show with two traumatised white children is enough and while that is a nice sentiment in theory. 

The reality of the matter is that House of the Dragon is a violently antiblack show. Misogynoir is baked into every step of that production, from the hair to the storylines to the fact that the Black women on the show rarely speak and lest we forget, they burnt a Black woman alive. 

Erasing Daenaera to give us the traumatised little white children ending is a copout. Daenaera is also a traumatised child who lost everything as a result of the war that the Greens started. You could have the same ending with her as well, but people don't push for that and I wonder why.

Another thing i hate about the hyporcitical misogyny in the game of thrones fandom and the hotd fandom, is fans who are supposedly 'feminist' actually cheering when women they dislike, or who aren't fandom faves literally face rape or something similiar as a 'punishment'.

There were already tons of people laughing at alicent when viserys was raping her and making jokes like 'she's never had an orgasm' 'she deserves every part of what viserys is doing to her' and it's like, wow way to make rape a punishment.

the same happened to sansa and cersei. the walk of shame was most certainly a form of sexual assault even if it wasn't explicitly stated and…so many fans just loved it. a lot of fans are like 'she gets what she deserves' and no--no she doesn't. a woman getting raped or assaulted or the equivalent isn't 'what she deserves'? that's humiliating. IDGAF if that was the point it's still wrong.

next, we have sansa who went through what she went through by ramsay and people are like 'finally, she's gonna be stronger now' but her rape should not have been a plot of character growth or punishment.

and now i see alicent antis saying stuff like 'alicunt deserves her own walk of shame' or 'i want alicent and helaena to be raped in the brothel' first of all, that's demented. second of all, helaena hasn't done anything to garner your hatred like that.

same with blood and cheese - tons of rhaenyra and team black stans are EXCITED to see jaehaera threatened to be raped? like they are 10000% excited for it and some want to see it happen. what is wrong with y'all?

the only time people actually care about the assaults women go through is if they are fandom favorites. which is really really bad and speaks to the lack of media literacy and comprehension for fans. this fandom's respect and appreciate for woman is literally only 'if she's a girl boss and can ride a dragon and be cool and intimidating them i love and support her but if she's not she deserves to be raped and abused'.
