I'm kinda self conscious about my computer nd now I can't stop thinking about it with all this gross talk, is it normal to wear down spaces in your keys, bc I've had this one for four or five years now and a lot of the keys are sorta gross and smooth. I try to wash my hands most of the time before I use it but I still feel like a little dirty grease demon every time I see my keyboard under decent light
oh no thats completely normal just from like. Wear. not even necessarily your fingers being oily or anything its just the repeated motion that wears the plastic down from the matte finish and makes it smooth and shiny thats 100% normal i prommy. it even happens on like touchpads and palmrests and basically any kind of button that has a finish on it like the ones under touchpads if they have the rubberized stuff on them. its basically just like. paint/top coating of plastic/etc rubbing off from friction pretty much it just inevitably happens with use
i will say though, dunno what kind of computer you have, but as a psa: keyboard covers are kinda bullshit. theyre good for keeping crumbs and god forbid liquids out of your computer, but- i cant really speak for All Computers on this, just macbooks, and even then im not 100% sure about NEW new ones and on like... All post 2017 or so models its inadvisable to have anything thicker than a piece of paper between the keyboard and screen at all because it can and WILL crack the screen. INCLUDING webcam covers. and of course apple does not tell you this in any meaningful fuckin way. those screens are almost always north of $500 to do if you dont have apple care. literally treat them like infants.- but on some screens with protective glass in front (again, mostly macbooks that im 100% sure on), the oils from your hands that will inevitably get on the cover will gradually cause the screen to kinda deteriorate, which is to say it wont be like... rendered unusable, but it will have an imprint shaped like the keyboard from the cover. which is a shame cause some of them are really pretty but alas i suppose

hiiii have some of my stims cus i wanted to talk ab it
(idk how to do it so im just??? gonna list them or smthn idk)
stims that i have now
these are the ones that i do now, just like the segment title says.
aggressive foot bouncing
The Hand Thing (grabby hands at the air, with hands, that weird finger thing, standard hand flapping)
biting my tongue
holding chains (i have three chains and my fav is this big clunky one that feels sooo nice to hold)
waves of color
bright colorfull moving lights/objects/gifs
sparkly stuff. sparkly stuff. hhhhgh
rubbing my feet toghether(this one sounds so weird oh my god sdjhjds)
scratching my scalp (ok a little of backstory to this: when i used to get stressed out, some years ago, i realized i really had to dispose of some energy, and i wanted to do The Hand Thing but was like 'wtf? no.' so i turned to scratching my scalp. this eventually evolved into me giving myself headpats when im alone and watching youtube or a movie or reading and shit and now when i get stressed/anxious i only scratch the area around my ears, or i used to do that until one day i drew blood and was like 'fuck.' so im trying to addapt into just rubbing my ears instead.)
this one is kinda new but popping those plastic wrap bubbles (im doing this right now dsfhg)
walking. yeah. when my brain gets working i get working too, i got up like 3 times while writting this. (the classic npc walk around the house ya kno)
i almost forgot to add this but chewing my nails!! god ive been doing that since i was 4!!
ok. i THINK this is all. next segmeeeent
stims i usedt o have
like as a child and stuff? yeah i had some weird shit that i used to do. lets talk about it :) (btw the weird shit is not derogatory, just uncommon to the other children i knew)
spinning around, getting dizzy, landing on the floor and watching the world around me go OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo, man i loved that
i used to chew on everything. almost all the dvds at my grandmas house have chewed covers bc little me liked doing that. i chewed a whole pencil in class one. i broke a lot of pens. ruined more than some rubber doll clothes. and doll feet. basically i was a heavy chewer, but i grew out of it (not completely cus i still bite my tongue ad the ocasional mechanical pencil)
cloth, i rememberreally liking to touch some of my grandmas clothes cus they had a nice silky texture and i was just ooohgh put it on mi plis
i cant rlly remember anything but the chewing thing, the chewing think was big ok im telling you
anyways! thats all i can remember. maybe ill add more on here later. idk.
