#personal #its really weird. idk how to explain it #its like things happening in the story matter but also not?? #and idk if the author was given 4 volumes only. but the pacing is SO quick and maybe thats why it feels like things just move on suddenly #the mood starts off BAD then okay..? NOT GOOD. better? TERRIBLE but maybe not?? over and over #it feels conflicting tone-wise? like overly pessimistic but then a slight 'well you shouldnt feel that way' #and then the characters themselves do contradicting things. whys our character thats secretly an lgbt ally hanging out w the school's bully #watari gets a senior thats an ally and respectable until oop shes not and touches him after saving him from guys who did that #tsubasa was ridiculed in life only to meet a junior trans boy and out him publicly w/o asking. the main gang kinda do it right back in #a diff way (showing that trouble isnt relevant in the plot anymore) #tsubasa hears abt someone in hot water for sleeping w a fan and then does it #but these are all written characters. the author chose to like have tsubasa get publicly in trouble and be devastated and have to publicly #apolgize for their sexuality. instead of opting for a quiet moment only shown to the reader of tsubasa having slept w a woman #idk its somehow very loud and on the nose abt things but in a conflicting way?? #idk how to explain all my thoughts but i feel i need to reread all of skip and loafer to cleanse my palate lmao
