I think the frustration lies that it’s obvious that some fans of Louis are not willing to pay for any of his content bc they can get it for free. We get it. You may not have the money and no one is forcing you to buy any content. But if you as a fan know that Louis’ career has been abnormal from the start with bg, weird stunts, his promo, with image presented to us. Why wouldn’t you want to support him any way you can? He doesn’t have the industry backing him, he doesn’t have radio play. Bmg is just as bad as Sony. All he really has is his fans. And the one thing WE can do as fans is buy his album. I don’t understand why that’s so hard to understand. Unfortunately, that housing wasn't for as long as originally planned and I'm back to staying on the street/moving between a few friends couches. I feel like any time I hear a question that’s like “what would you do with a million dollars?” My first instinct is “pay off any debts, save enough so there’s always food in the pantry, take care of my family, donate as much as possible, pay off people’s medical bills, etc etc”

And I think a lot of people jump to those same answers. Partly bc they’re logical and partly bc like we live in a capitalist hell world

But like those answers are, while valid, depressing and boring. I don’t wanna have to apply reality to a fun hypothetical

So. Instead here’s my question. Let’s say we live in a perfect world where all human suffering has been completely eradicated. All of it. There is literally no one in the world who needs or wants any sort of help.

I want to know what you’d buy with a million dollars. Actually, no. You now have infinite money. What are you buying? Are you going to commission a book? Blow a thousand dollars on video game micro transactions? Buy a tiara made of genuine gold and jewels?

Races: 3865 Wins: 1888 Race per win: 2.047 Track Records: 571 Hi, first of all and I'm sure you've heard it many times before but Congratulations on taking the MRC F1 drivers title in Season 18. Your driver first entered F1 in Season 16 and you wasted no time establishing him as one of the best in the business. Many people would know of you but few would not much about you. So, if you’ve got the time I’d like to ask you a few questions about yourself as a manager and your driver? Q) Your first two seasons in F1 included 6 wins, 18 podiums and almost 500 points. Can you tell us about your first two seasons in F1 and two Indy titles, and how much of a jump was it technically after spending two seasons dominating the Indy Series? A) I want to begin from the end... Yes, those two seasons in Indy were outstanding, but I was inside, and I know why they were so successful. My first season in Indy was at the age of 24, but my driver was already very strong, strong enough to win the title. His skills were not the best in the series, but there were no other top managers, so I expected easy title, I just had to be stable, and I did it. Second season was a bit harder, because there were more experienced challengers, but I was stronger too. What could be better than win to consecutive titles at the age of 24 and 25... F1 was coming... I had lots of proposals of different teams, the best was from Mercedes. Grandi was completely sure that new car would be competitive and I started to help Mercedes, but Grandi and Mercedes were ignored by community those days, and FBednar sent me a message with the question "Why?". From my side, I asked him about seat in Jordan. This was for luck, I didn't expect they say yes. Then I had a big choice: Mercedes or Jordan. Jordan's car was already good enough, but I promised to drive for Mercedes, but finally I had chosen Jordan and that was the 2nd big luck for me, because Grandi forgot to sign suppliers, and Mercedes was in the bottom of the grid. Jordan had only 3rd best car, behind RB and McLaren, I was very excited about the start of my career in F1, but I knew, that it would be unreal to win the championship. I'd got great communications in my team, and I finished 3rd in my first and 2nd seasons in F1, between McLarens and RB's. That was success, because I had made some stupid mistakes in some races, anyway, I couldn't be better, than 3rd. Technically... It was easy for me, because I was prepared, I'd got setups from different cars and managers, and I'm always analysing previous races, that helps a lot, plus my rain skill was better and that was one of my benefits. But was dreaming about 18th season, because rules were completely changed. ... Q) As we mentioned earlier, in Season 18 you finished with 5 wins, 13 podiums, 17 top-10 finishes, 5 poles, 2 fastest laps and took the title by 34 points which is especially impressive considering Monaco, Montreal and Circuit of the Americas you walked away with 0 points. To begin, how well do you remember the season, and talk us through when you started to believe you would take the title. A) First five races were good, and I'd got victory in China, but after Monaco and Montreal I was thinking that title was gone. In Montreal, as far as I remember, there was my mistake, my setup wasn't saved somehow. I decided to drive from one race two another, and what a miracle, my 2nd part of the season was perfect and awful for opponents. I tried to be conservative, to avoid risks. I counted races until the end of championship, my teammates and compatriots were ready to yell about my coming title, but I said - that is too early, no words until the title. I'd got 18 points ahead of Grosjean before the last race, so he had to win, and, in that case, I should had finished 6th to take the title. And after the collision between Grosjean and Rapido, I believed that I could win the title. I won, having only the 3rd best car in the championship, that was unbelievable! There were other reasons, I had better adaptations for the new rules, and luck, luck, luck. Q) Lesser known facts about yourself, you're a team owner at Audi, a driver for Jordan, and have made driver donations to more than half of the mid field teams in recent years. What motivates you to support so many teams in an area of MRC that is dominated by politics? A) Well, at the very beginning I was the major creator and team manager of BMW, but after the short period of time I understood, that this work is not so interesting for me, and I left managing of the team, I was only shareholder and consultant. I started to work with our national team for A1, and you know the results of my work: this season is my 10th season as president of association, we won 5 titles in a row, and we were on the podium each season... I was needed the best possible team for my driver, because I was wanted to become F1 champion. I'd done that with my Jordan family. They received my full support. Our Russian community was growing, there were a lot of perfect drivers, and we decided, that we need the second team in F1. Firstly, we were in negotiations with Grandi's Mercedes, but the price was too high. We wanted to be middle team, something like BMW, and we started to buy Senna's shares. Nothing personal, we thought it was the easiest team to buy. There was no other way besides the auction. We knew, it would be a long journey. Then we saw 41% Williams shares on the auction and that was our chance, I calculated everything, besides holes in the rules. Than there was a proposal of buying Audi, and finally we did it. Since that, I'm helping Audi too. As for other teams, I have a lot of free money, and I'm happy to help smaller teams to make our championship more competitive and interesting. Next season I will drive for McLaren and they will be having all my support. My seasons with Jordan were absolutely perfect, thanks to Midar, FBednar and for all Czech community. But I think, I deserved to be a bit higher -)) Q) Your driver was created in a golden age were many went on to finish their driver skills at an age well before the drivers began to lose skills. I've not been here long, but have already read many times in the forums that such feats may not be possible these days. Do you believe these rumours, and when it's time to say goodbye to Novikov will you be having another crack and do you think you can achieve the same successes with a new driver? A) -)) Actually, I was the first, who wrote that. Yes, that is true, but situation has changed a bit. I think, that my next "Novikov" would be a least not worse than present. Firstly, yes, my(his) career was outstanding, there were almost no mistakes during my career, but I know that mistakes and I could avoid them with my new driver. Secondly, now I know a bit more, than 15 seasons ago. And thirdly, when I wrote that it would be hard to achieve the same results the game was growing, I mean number of managers and skilled managers. There are lots of skilled managers still, but, as I see, the number of managers is not growing anymore. It would be very hard to achieve same titles, for example, to win F2 World at the age of 23 and Indy at 24, but it would be possible to have all skills 100 at the same time, or earlier. Q) You said yourself, this won’t be your first interview and won’t be your last. If you had to interview yourself, what would be one question you would ask yourself? Is there a story to tell that no-one has touched on yet? A) Wow, lots of questions! -)) Private, for example, favourite colour, film, serial, sport, singer, actor, etc... For now, I ask the simple question. “What is the most difficult thing in MRC?” The most difficult thing is to stay calmness. I mean, that we have our own mistakes, and we have random mistakes. This is very hard psychologically, a lot of players couldn't do anything with it. What helps me? Firstly, I have already achieved all that I wanted a very long time ago. Secondly, I'm always trying to explain every mistake to myself, and if I couldn't do that, I'm getting upset. On the other hand, for example, you may have bad race today, but in an hour, or tomorrow you will have another race, good race, there are a lot of races and that helps a lot too. Dallas: For the last six months, many Roman Catholic priests have felt like the public face of scandal, in their communities, even though most had no role in the sex abuse crisis engulfing the church. Now, they say, they face a new concern: whether the blameless in their ranks will be hurt under the ambitious policy bishops have adopted to keep abusive clergy away from parishioners. Under the “Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People,” clergymen who molest children will never again be active in church work, and some will be formally removed from the priesthood. Many priests say they are concerned about the document’s board definition of abuse, and they question whether the church leaders who approved it have taken enough responsibility for their own roles in creating the moral emergency. “The policy is driven a lot more by public sentiment than the principle of compassion.” Said the Rev. Robert Silva, Head of the National Federation of priests’ Councils, which claims a membership of about half of the nation 46,000 priests. Since the scandal erupted in January with the conviction of a former Boston priest for molesting a boy, scores of people have come forward with accusations of sexual abuse by priests and indifference from church leaders. At least 250 priests have since resigned or been suspended. Silva said priests – already anxious about their interactions with children – we be even more apprehensive because of the definition of abuse the bishops approved on Friday. Abuse will now be considered as any inappropriate contact with a child, regardless of whether it involves force, physical contact or whether any harm is apparent. Silva called the wording "very frightening.” Philadelphia cardinal, Anthony Bevilacqua, who is a canon lawyer, said he too was concerned by the language and hoped it would be clarified when the document comes under review in two years. “It’s very difficult to come to a definition,” he said. “It must be something of a serious nature and involve some kind of bodily interaction.” Silva also complained that the plan contained severe punishments for the priests but no sanctions for bishops who mishandle abuse cases. The bishops have informed a national governor Frank Keating, to annually review whether church leaders are complying with the policy. Some clergy said that wasn’t enough. The bishops added a clause saying they “deeply regret that any of our decisions have obscured the good work of our priests.” But Mondignor Kenneth Lasch, a parish priest and canon lawyer in Paterson, New Jersey, Diocese felt the apology sounded stilted.

Paula is a freshman at a large university in southern California. She is involved with a sorority, Alpha Alpha, on her campus. Paula rushed Alpha Alpha because she heard that it was heavily involved in philanthropy. In fact, Alpha Alpha hosts an annual philanthropy week donating money to a charity that raises money for cancer research. Paula is excited to take part in the weeklong activities because philanthropy and service have always been an important part of her life. She wants to find out more about the charity, and is thrilled that other college students will also be finding out more about cancer research and what they can individually do to help fight cancer. When the week approaches, Paula is surprised at the activities that will take place. She notices that not once in the week’s activities does it mention cancer research. Teams simply signup and have each member pay $15 to partake in the activities. Paula notices that the activities are simply attending a dinner at a local restaurant, performing a two minute dance on stage, a karaoke tournament, a fashion show, and a scavenger hunt. Paula thinks the week is a lame excuse of a philanthropic effort. She hears from her older sorority sisters that teams just pay the fee and never hear about the charity again. Teams allegedly just participate to get drunk and attempt to win the activities for bragging rights. Paula is disappointed to be a part of such a philanthropy week.

US researchers said on Monday they have created a new human embryonic stem cell by fusing an embryonic stem cell. They hope their method will provide a way to create tailor made treatments from scratch, using cloning technology. That would mean generating the valuable cells without using a human egg, and without creating a human embryo, which some people, including President George W. Bush, find objectionable. But the team, led by stem cell expert Douglas Melton, Kevin Eggan and others at Harvard Medical School, stress in a report to be published in next Friday’s issue of the journal Science that their method is not yet perfect. Stem cells are the body’s master cells, used to continually regenerate tissues, organs and blood. Those taken from days old embryos are considered the most versatile. They can produce any kind of tissue in the body. Doctors hope to use embryonic stem cells as a source of perfectly matched transplants to treat diseases such as cancer, Parkinson’s disease and some injuries. But because some people object to the destruction of or experimentation on a human embryo, US law restricts the use of federal funds for this kind of research. It is a hot debate in Congress and several bills have been offered for consideration that would either relax the federal restrictions or tighten them even more. Melton has complained about the restrains and, like other experts, has used private funding to pursue stem cell work. He and other experts say they only want to understand how to reprogram an ordinary cell and hope the use of human embryo would only be a short term and interim step to learning how to manufacture these cells. The Harvard team says they have taken a big step in this direction. Currently, embryonic stem cells are either taken from embryos left over from fertility clinics, or generated using a cloning technology called nuclear transfer. This requires taking the nucleus out of an egg cell and replacing it with the nucleus of an adult cell, called a somatic cell, f from the person to be treated. This reprograms the egg, which starts dividing as if it had been fertilized by a sperm.

Frank and Bobby are freshmen at a university on the semester system. They meet at orientation and bond over their major, Economics, and their hobby of playing sports. They decide to request one another as roommates, and both enroll in the same mathematics class: calculus for business majors. The two get off to a bad start academically. They are experiencing the freedom of living on their own for the first time. No parents are around to make sure they are keeping up with their homework assignments or readings. In fact, since Frank and Bobby are both in the same math class, they often take turns going to class. It starts off with the boys alternating going to class, but eventually turns into both boys often skipping. One evening, midway through the semester, Frank and Bobby run into a classmate who informs them they have a midterm the next morning. They successfully get her class notes, however they soon realize they don’t have enough time to study unless they pull an all-nighter. Bobby doesn’t believe he can stay up all night and still perform well on the test the next morning. He decides that it’s in his best interest to create a cheat sheet and plug equations into his calculator. He Frank is against cheating. He calls out Bobby, saying that this is unethical. Instead, he buys two Adderall pills from a student in their dorm who has ADD. He has heard that taking Adderall helps you stay awake and focus. Bobby gets upset when he finds out Frank is taking Adderall to study. Bobby claims that there is no difference between taking a drug that isn’t prescribed to you to help you study and bringing in a cheat sheet. Bobby says they are both forms of cheating. Frank disagrees, claiming that at least he’s going through the process of studying for the midterm.

Dallas: For the last six months, many Roman Catholic priests have felt like the public face of scandal, in their communities, even though most had no role in the sex abuse crisis engulfing the church. Now, they say, they face a new concern: whether the blameless in their ranks will be hurt under the ambitious policy bishops have adopted to keep abusive clergy away from parishioners. Under the “Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People,” clergymen who molest children will never again be active in church work, and some will be formally removed from the priesthood. Many priests say they are concerned about the document’s board definition of abuse, and they question whether the church leaders who approved it have taken enough responsibility for their own roles in creating the moral emergency. “The policy is driven a lot more by public sentiment than the principle of compassion.” Said the Rev. Robert Silva, Head of the National Federation of priests’ Councils, which claims a membership of about half of the nation 46,000 priests. Since the scandal erupted in January with the conviction of a former Boston priest for molesting a boy, scores of people have come forward with accusations of sexual abuse by priests and indifference from church leaders. At least 250 priests have since resigned or been suspended. Silva said priests – already anxious about their interactions with children – we be even more apprehensive because of the definition of abuse the bishops approved on Friday. Abuse will now be considered as any inappropriate contact with a child, regardless of whether it involves force, physical contact or whether any harm is apparent. Silva called the wording "very frightening.” Philadelphia cardinal, Anthony Bevilacqua, who is a canon lawyer, said he too was concerned by the language and hoped it would be clarified when the document comes under review in two years. “It’s very difficult to come to a definition,” he said. “It must be something of a serious nature and involve some kind of bodily interaction.” Silva also complained that the plan contained severe punishments for the priests but no sanctions for bishops who mishandle abuse cases. The bishops have informed a national governor Frank Keating, to annually review whether church leaders are complying with the policy. Some clergy said that wasn’t enough. The bishops added a clause saying they “deeply regret that any of our decisions have obscured the good work of our priests.” But Mondignor Kenneth Lasch, a parish priest and canon lawyer in Paterson, New Jersey, Diocese felt the apology sounded stilted.

Paula is a freshman at a large university in southern California. She is involved with a sorority, Alpha Alpha, on her campus. Paula rushed Alpha Alpha because she heard that it was heavily involved in philanthropy. In fact, Alpha Alpha hosts an annual philanthropy week donating money to a charity that raises money for cancer research. Paula is excited to take part in the weeklong activities because philanthropy and service have always been an important part of her life. She wants to find out more about the charity, and is thrilled that other college students will also be finding out more about cancer research and what they can individually do to help fight cancer. When the week approaches, Paula is surprised at the activities that will take place. She notices that not once in the week’s activities does it mention cancer research. Teams simply signup and have each member pay $15 to partake in the activities. Paula notices that the activities are simply attending a dinner at a local restaurant, performing a two minute dance on stage, a karaoke tournament, a fashion show, and a scavenger hunt. Paula thinks the week is a lame excuse of a philanthropic effort. She hears from her older sorority sisters that teams just pay the fee and never hear about the charity again. Teams allegedly just participate to get drunk and attempt to win the activities for bragging rights. Paula is disappointed to be a part of such a philanthropy week.

US researchers said on Monday they have created a new human embryonic stem cell by fusing an embryonic stem cell. They hope their method will provide a way to create tailor made treatments from scratch, using cloning technology. That would mean generating the valuable cells without using a human egg, and without creating a human embryo, which some people, including President George W. Bush, find objectionable. But the team, led by stem cell expert Douglas Melton, Kevin Eggan and others at Harvard Medical School, stress in a report to be published in next Friday’s issue of the journal Science that their method is not yet perfect. Stem cells are the body’s master cells, used to continually regenerate tissues, organs and blood. Those taken from days old embryos are considered the most versatile. They can produce any kind of tissue in the body. Doctors hope to use embryonic stem cells as a source of perfectly matched transplants to treat diseases such as cancer, Parkinson’s disease and some injuries. But because some people object to the destruction of or experimentation on a human embryo, US law restricts the use of federal funds for this kind of research. It is a hot debate in Congress and several bills have been offered for consideration that would either relax the federal restrictions or tighten them even more. Melton has complained about the restrains and, like other experts, has used private funding to pursue stem cell work. He and other experts say they only want to understand how to reprogram an ordinary cell and hope the use of human embryo would only be a short term and interim step to learning how to manufacture these cells. The Harvard team says they have taken a big step in this direction. Currently, embryonic stem cells are either taken from embryos left over from fertility clinics, or generated using a cloning technology called nuclear transfer. This requires taking the nucleus out of an egg cell and replacing it with the nucleus of an adult cell, called a somatic cell, f from the person to be treated. This reprograms the egg, which starts dividing as if it had been fertilized by a sperm.

They decide to request one another as roommates, and both enroll in the same mathematics class: calculus for business majors. The two get off to a bad start academically. They are experiencing the freedom of living on their own for the first time. No parents are around to make sure they are keeping up with their homework assignments or readings. In fact, since Frank and Bobby are both in the same math class, they often take turns going to class. It starts off with the boys alternating going to class, but eventually turns into both boys often skipping.
