Just realized that Saiki changed the world to have anime physics... and that he did so due to inspiration from anime.
Like. He's canonically a weeb and used his magic powers to straight up make anime real.
He was probably just sitting around as a kid thinking [damn it's so hard to knock someone out without killing them or hurting them permanently. this sucks. why can't life be more like anime, good grief.] then realizes life CAN be more like anime and he just. Makes it happen.

You know what? The fact that Saiki trusts Aiura to follow along with his fake dating plan even though he knows she's in love with him, speaks a lot about how much she has respected his boundaries.
For someone who is NOT shy around guys and tends to be pretty physical (see: her introduction to Kuboyasu), Aiura adapts pretty quickly to Saiki's hands-off preferences.
Yeah she'll ask for a kiss, but that's just it: she asks, and she never gets mad or punishes him for saying no. Even when he's completely unreasonable about things like not ever talking to him at school, she tries to respect that.
No wonder he willingly goes on dessert dates with her (in his tsundere way). She knows about his powers but treats him like another human being, not glorifying him for his powers or trying to get favors out of him. She doesn't try to coerce him into romance either, just hanging out with him and helping him where she can.
And that's the kind of connection Saiki hasn't had since the Asumi days...

bingewatched the entirety Rise of the TMNT recently and adored every second. I want to inject this art style directly into my veins, so I decided to try and redraw some screenshots (thank u Fancaps.net), two from the first ep and one from the movie (which is incredible btw, please watch it).
Leo was already my favorite from back when I watched 2012 (…’s first season, we didn’t have any of the others rip), and then Rise went and turned him into Sonic the Hedgehog so of course I was gonna love him. horrid little man. I’d die for him.

Modern AUs are fucking delicious. I want to write a fic about Enmu, but as a (human) therapist who is fascinated by the psychology of pain and dreams, so much so that he is tortured by his own fascination and requires his own therapist. I want to write Inosuke being roommates with Tanjirou and Zenitsu and being chaotic as fuck whenever the Kamaboko trio gets together (of course Inosuke is kinda gay for Tanj). I want to write transfem Zenitsu anxiously working at a coffee shop, and dating a nonverbal autistic Nezuko. I think people can tell I'm queer just by looking at this post

thinking about deaf saiki again and his whole life he thought he was speaking out loud, but he was automatically substituting his telepathy for him when he briefly realizes he can't hear himself. got used to it and can't understand how normal people deal with not knowing how they sound

if i was kusuke which thank god im not but if i was i would make a far better limiter than he did. like god its so impractical. easily removed by accident? easily broken. not reinforced. no DIALS. no BACK UPS OR FAIL-SAFES
kusuo is like a nuclear bomb, you gotta make sure you know exactly how to keep it (saiki) from accidentally disarming itself (broken limiters)
kusuke just seems like he would fuck around just to find out.
but if i were to make it the biggest thing i would add is a dial. specifically one that can control the intensity of the limiters. usually kusuo has an all or nothing when it comes to his powers. if he could control the output of it it might actually give him a way to learn how to control himself better with less and less intensity set on the limiters.
he could baby step his way from learning to throw a ball when his limiter is to the max, then again and again at every level the limiter has.
also i agree w some people saying it should be near his ears. maybe a patch just behind his ear or a weird earring or a device that looks kind of like a hearing aid or a weird tech thing that covers one of his ears

Id like to imagine that through Saiki's habit of playing cheap and uncommon games hes actually got a small collection of hidden gems and I want to imagine if he wanted to use the internet for once he could actually run a blog that he can type out his thoughts on games that nobody knows. He is a pretty fair but strict reviewer and comments on everything from the fluidity of the gameplay to the menu layouts and even the stylization of the graphics.
It backfires when someone actually finds his blog, even if its anonymous, and the word spreads about this guy who knows the best of the unheard games and has a knack to be extremely detailed in reviews.
He becomes a little bit of a niche internet celebrity and people spam his blog or email with suggestions of their own favorite hidden gems to review and some even ask for his opinion on more popular games. His blog becomes a reputable review source where indie developers want his attention to get their game out there.
Suddenly developers reach out to him offering to give him a free early copy to review their games and eventually he starts recording no or little commentary gameplay footage and he gets more and more requests.
He gets sponsored after a while. He makes a modest bit just from his blog and his videos and he wants to be annoyed at the attention but he enjoys the anonymity and people genuinely listening to his opinion.
Anyway i just want to think that kaidou or someone someday brings up saikis blog like oh yeah ive been reading this guy he does great reviews on indie games and saiki just smiles.

To the new players on Splatoon 3!
For any battle type:
Always remember to booyah back! this means at the start of the round when a player on your team presses booyah, say booyah too! it lets old players know youre communicative and pay attention to your teammates. Its friendly. Its polite. Its honestly gonna make the whole game more enjoyable if you can use the little bit of communication there is.
theres no in game chat function so booyah and this way are the best way to let your team know what's up! booyah when your teammate did something cool! its a morale booster
plan your specials around your teammates. is your special better for support or slaying? check to see if there is already a cooler up if u have it, cus the effects do not stack. and in salmon run specials can be what saves the whole team!!
check your map! not only does it show the current ink coverage, it also shows enemy players if they have taken damage even without being marked. you can jump back to spawn if things seem dangerous and you can jump to teammates. keep in mind that teammates might not be in a safe position for you to land in. anyone can see where you will land and can try to jump kill you. knowing the map itself for good jump points and seeing if the teammate is in a well inked area helps.
Ink spawn. Always. Dont think it applies to X mode? It does. Even in anarchy battles (which splat 2 players might still call ranked out of habit) you should ink spawn. Why? multiple reasons! It keeps your base safer than not. helps maneuverability in getting back in. It helps build your special, which can be incredibly useful for a push. generally speaking, an inked base is a happy base. EDIT: I dont mean ink spawn immediately for anarchy battle, the first push is critical! Use the spawn for free specials to push when you're behind! And dont be thorough in anarchy battle either, prioritize the objective over turf inked unless you have a very good reason otherwise. the movement is also more for a path back to spawn than anything. having escape routes is important.
For turf war:
Inking ground takes priority over killing. Yes if they are dead they cant ink but the respawn time is pretty fast, about 5 to 7 seconds. Also, inking builds special. it is the only way you build special. kills do not build your special. Inked ground both gives a tiny amount of damage to the enemy when they step on it, AND gives you more coverage, AND gives you quicker escape options, AND is the deciding factor of winning the game.
Walls do not count towards points. Only ground. Inking walls isnt useless though, but don't think that inking them all will help you win, its more for maneuverability.
Last second bombs can decide a match. If you have a sub to throw and there is roughly one or two seconds left on the clock, throw it no hesitation. after the match time is over, it will still pause for a second to allow all subs and specials that were out at the last second to explode.
Hide in ink. This should be self explanatory. You aren't as visible if you are submerged in ink and you are faster in ink than walking. if you hide while an enemy player is nearby, and they dont think to check whatever puddle youre in, you could get a sneak attack. another point to focus on inking!
For salmon run:
Learn to squid party! its just jumping and changing in and out of squid to inkling (or octopus to octoling) form very fast so u kinda look like a blob. it might be frowned upon to squid party in other modes but this is totally fine and encouraged!
Pay attention to your teammates positions. Dead teammates cannot help more than sit there and hold a single egg. throw a bomb or shoot at them to revive them. they take priority over eggs in most cases.
Use this way liberally. This way points towards where youre looking. Use it to say hey theres a boss here.
LISTEN TO TEAMMATES. if someone says help or this way go to them. its worth it. they know what theyre doing. usually.
Losing on wave 3 doesnt lower pay grade. It sucks to lose but wave 3 sucks slightly less to lose on.

This is just a little thing I wrote for a fic that isn’t published yet. I didn’t come up with Minerva/Tom but I can’t remember who did. For backstory, it’s one of those Harry gets resorted into Slytherin in his fifth year fics.
“Who was your first kiss, Professor?” Harry asked, hesitant and cautious but still eager. He wasn’t really sure what propelled him to ask his former head of house, but something gave him the courage.
McGonagall opened her mouth slightly in shock and then closed it. He could see her hand tighten around her quill, then relax as she took a deep sigh. She looked in Harry’s eyes and he was surprised to find what could only be described as grief.
“A boy named Tom Riddle.”
Harry blinked, opened his mouth, closed it, then blinked again. He waited for her to crack a smile, but that wasn’t like her. He didn’t think anyone would be like that.
“I- what?” Harry asked, voice wavering on the pitchy side.
McGonagall didn’t smile, she didn’t smirk, she just sighed and straightened her papers.
“I take it you know who that is,” she hummed.
Harry resisted the urge to tell her that Voldemort himself had told him.
“I don’t- Professor. I don’t understand.”
McGonagall looked up from her papers and took a long, hard look at Harry. He was wondering what she was looking for. He wondered, and not for the first time since being resorted, if she was trying to figure out if he was trustworthy enough to gain this secret.
“We were friends back in our school days. He was charming, intelligent, and on very rare occasions that made it worth it to be his friend, kind.”
Her voice didn’t hold a wistfulness. But neither did it hold shame. Harry didn’t know how to take that.
“Were you two... in love?” Harry asked. He couldn’t fathom Voldemort himself falling in love, nonetheless with the woman in front of him.
McGonagall hesitated. She pursed her lips and drew her fingers across the feather on her quill, as if she was petting it.
“He wasn’t.”
Harry studied his professor. He couldn’t help but feel sorry for her. To fall in love with someone like that, only to later have to watch him tear the world apart... he couldn’t imagine feeling that kind of pain.
He knew what kind of boy Riddle had been. He’d seen him in his second year. He wondered if they had kissed before or after Hagrid had been expelled and Myrtle had been viciously killed. He didn’t really want to know.
McGonagall looked up at Harry and offered him a tight smile. It didn’t take a genius to figure out how fake it was.
“A Gryffindor and a Slytherin. How cliche, I know. Nonetheless, it happened, and here we are. I-” McGonagall stopped, her face contorting into pain.
But Harry wouldn’t know what she was about to say because she shook her head.
“Was there something else you wanted to know, Mr. Potter?”
He knew a dismissal when he heard one. Harry gathered up his bag and got up from the chair.
“No, Professor.”
She looked at him once more and if it hadn’t been for the sadness that was held in her eyes, he would assume that the last five minutes had all been in his head.
“Very well. I trust that Professor Snape is being cordial as your new head of house?”
Harry grimaced, but not because of Snape.
“Er, yeah.”
She nodded and went back to her papers. Harry walked to the door but stood in the doorway. He looked back at her and imagined her as a fifth year hanging around with Tom Riddle, getting into shenanigans like he and the other Slytherins did.
He imagined her reaction when she found out, time and time again, what he’s done and who he’s turned into. He supposed he had an answer for why she wasn’t in the Order. He knew that if it was him, he wouldn’t be able to fight the person he used to love.

I think one of my favorite things about Jeeves and Wooster is that everyone always describes Bertie as a playboy, but he isn’t, really. Like, yeah, he’s been engaged to almost every single woman in London but that’s only because of Aunt Agatha. And even then he always tries to get out of it because he can’t fathom living with a woman, bedding with a woman, pretty much anything to do with a woman besides having lunch with her every once in a while and helping her marry one of his friends.
Like, okay, with Pauline Stoker, she’s literally IN his bed and he’s just like, are you wearing my pajamas? It doesn’t even cross his mind that she could be there for him! And in Wooster with a Wife he describes his life as a ‘monkhood.’ The only reason he ever considered marrying was because for a split second he considered having a kid, and even then he decided adopting would be better.
I love that Aunt Agatha always puts him down for being an irresponsible playboy but she’s the entire reason why his reputation with women is so poor.

I dunno if anyone has mentioned yet but the color symbolism in the mewest season of bridgerton is so cool.
So Kate, Edwina, and their mother all wear blue, purple, or pink.
Edwina wears almost exclusively pink while Kate wore almost exclusively blue in the beginning. Their mother wore purple, a combination of blue and pink (she also wore pink/purple separately which can symbolize her alliances at that specific moment).
Pink is a warm color which symbolizes Edwina's kind heartedness. It's also a very feminine color, especially since she wore a lot of pastel and soft pink which symbolized her youth. It's also a romantic color, which symbolizes her budding romance with Anthony.
Blue, on the other hand, is a cool color, which symbolizes Kate's harsh personality and her hesitance to get to know Anthony.
But as the season goes on, Kate begins to wear more purple. She's slowly warming to Anthony but she's not yet ready to admit it to herself (she may not even know what it is)- and can also symbolize how she's had to take up the mantle of being Edwina's mother figure.
And we can see in the moments that Kate is hesitant about her relationship with Anthony that she goes back to blue!
Also in that scene where Anthony is in his father's old study and he and his mother are arguing about his duties, theres a blue light on the back of his head as if to say his relationship with Kate is just around the corner but he's not ready to face it.
And then in the last episode Kate wears orange to the Featherington's ball. She's become her own person and she's able to wear something that has warmth but is not attached to the youthful pink that her sister owns.
This analysis kind of messy but I thought it was so cool! Yay for the costume department!

Just thinking about how in ZOMBIES, Zed had to fight tooth and nail just to be allowed to play on the football team, and everyone was basically just watching and waiting for him to screw up. And they only kind of liked him when he was winning the football games. And they were ready to turn on him in an instant if he showed any real signs of being a monster.
But then, in ZOMBIES 3, the entire town, including people who used to hate him, came out to uplift and encourage him when he was having self doubt at a critical moment. 😭😭 He finally has the support he needs and deserves. He would have never expected that his life could change so much in just a few years, but he stayed optimistic anyway. Exceptional Zed, indeed.

I feel like any time I hear a question that’s like “what would you do with a million dollars?” My first instinct is “pay off any debts, save enough so there’s always food in the pantry, take care of my family, donate as much as possible, pay off people’s medical bills, etc etc”
And I think a lot of people jump to those same answers. Partly bc they’re logical and partly bc like we live in a capitalist hell world
But like those answers are, while valid, depressing and boring. I don’t wanna have to apply reality to a fun hypothetical
So. Instead here’s my question. Let’s say we live in a perfect world where all human suffering has been completely eradicated. All of it. There is literally no one in the world who needs or wants any sort of help.
I want to know what you’d buy with a million dollars. Actually, no. You now have infinite money. What are you buying? Are you going to commission a book? Blow a thousand dollars on video game micro transactions? Buy a tiara made of genuine gold and jewels?
Be as gaudy as possible. Be as selfish and money wasting as possible. (The only rule is you’re not allowed to buy things for other ppl)

This future-facing story lives rent-free in my head and there's way more than what's been posted, so sometimes I make little comics and memes about it!

Significances of Saiki K Character Names
Note: I got all info about the names from the wiki
So, as many fans already know, all the main characters aside from Saiki have a name related to a psychic ability. The names for the actual psychics correspond to their own abilities-- Toritsuka Reita is a pun on "being haunted" (toritsukareta), and he has the ability to see ghosts and become willingly possessed (sort of like being haunted) by them. The kanji in Aiura Mikoto's name are related to fortune-telling, which she can do.
There is another character who has a very clear connection to their name-- Hairo Kineshi is a pun on pyrokinesis (pairokineshisu) and he has an incredibly high amount of body heat; able to melt ice and snow immediately just by being in its presence, and able to act as a heater in his class in that episode where it was very cold.
Going by the principle set by these three, we can theorize that many of the other characters have names based on psychic abilities that they, in some form or capacity, can be said to have. This is my breakdown of some of those relations.

So there was that part in both the anime and manga where Saiki and Kaidou are getting mugged. Kaidou creates a chance for them to escape but gets caught, and Saiki keeps going, thinking "Sorry Kaidou, but I'm going to keep running. This is a good chance to end this fake friendship anyway."

Right so I'm watching Saiki K. I'm only in season 2 but like
- Precious boy. I love him.

-Teruhashi's brother. Jail. Take him to jail.I won't bother myself to remember his name
-Kusuke. Maximum security Prison. Like rn. How has he not been arrested already? This man is kind of off his rocker and dangerously unstable. He has almost no boundaries. I think not killing people is a boundary he has but I hold no expectations for it. He pretty much tried to KILL his little brother like, several times
-Possibly the best part of this series is when Kusuo uses his powers for bigger things. Like the world-wide mind control thing. Or saving Yumehara. Or training with his powers. That one particular scene where the loan shark guys try to kidnap him and he fuckin' decimates them (gotta say, I like the whole evil look for him).
-Our aroace icon. i Love him for that.
-His whole friendship with Akechi. They've been through a lot. The idea of Kusuo never telling people about his powers because he told the one friend he did have and ended up destroying a classroom is so sad.
-I kind of really want there to be a Saiki Protection Squad. He gets in trouble and EVERYONE is there to bail him out of it. Kokomi, Kaido, Nendo, Aren, Hairo, Mikoto, Reita, everyone. Viciously.
-PK Academy Psychic Kids God Bless.
-The fact that he keeps repeating Junior year to stop the volcano
-He wants to keep a low profile but his friends include: the most popular girl, the most popular guy, a former gang leader and two out and pround psychics. I love kaido and Nendo but they're probably his most normal friends

Okay I am so in love with the idea of Kusuke being like, just a smidge insane. Like he's not dangerously obsessed with Kusuo he's just a normal obsessed when you're a genius with a god-like being as your baby brother.
I read it from a fic (definitely check out everything written by Suikorin on AO3 they're so good) but Kusuke's hair being the way it is because Kusuo burned him as a kid by accident. Learning to sleep only 17 minutes a night because he was so busy trying to invent the limiters.
Also the limiters being less so that Kusuo didn't destroy everything, and more because Kusuke didn't want to see Kusuo get hurt or upset by his ever-growing powers.
Them messing around and using so much force because they're literally the only ones they can go all out with. Never trying to actually kill each other though. And of course, they both use the "I'm telling mom!" card and it WORKS because Saiki Kurumi is a force to be reckoned with.
Getting older and Kusuke gets involved in a lot of dangerous shit but he's never scared because a) he is always 8 steps ahead of his enemies and b) Kusuo is always watching, and can and will come in and kick ass to save his brother.
They are very, very protective of each other, even if people don't usually see it. Kusuo is more subtle about it to not draw attention but Kusuke can see his influence. He, however, has no such qualms and can, will, and has pulled a gun on people who so much as look at his brother (or sister, depending on whether Kuriko makes an appearance) the wrong way. Kusuo appreciates it, even when he acts annoyed. Maybe it's nice to be the one being protected for once (even if he doesn't actually need it)

So I've been watching Assassination Classroom

-I was pretty skeptical to watch it but my sister convinced me
-I love it so much
-I've just finished season 1 and I have opinions
-The whole series really hinges of Korosensei just deciding to teach a class for no reason huh. Like I feel like if they tried to logically answer "why does an octopus intent on destroying Earth want to spend the last year dutifully teaching middle schoolers?" the whole show would fall apart
-and I love it
-The opening scene of them firing on him as soon as he entered was iconic
-Really didn't like Karma at first. Kinda unhinged, even for this class. Especially when he tried to jump off a fuckin cliff what the FUCK Karma. I know the saying is "Karma's a bitch" but I didn't mean it like this.
-Nagisa. My son. Please protect him. I love him so much. The only one with a brain cell to record weaknesses.
-Damn I kinda...really don't like Irina. Like idk if that'll be a hot take in this fandom but what the fuck. Why would you try to seduce a middle schooler. Why kiss his brain out. What the fuck lady. I don't give a shit about you being a trained assassin part of that is reading a room and this room certainly wasn't spelling out "seduce the nearest child for information"
-Like I know she isn't a bad person and is a professional when she needs to be but I can't get over that initial thing. I might be biased but whatever.
-Also, Karasuma. 10/10 character. No flaws. Absolutely perfect. He's their dad. He gave them all a number to call in case they needed anything. They've al individually, without any input from anyone else, made the ringtone "You are my daAD, BOOGIE WOOGIE WOOGIE" This is canon because I said so.
-I headcanon both Karasuma and Irina as aroace just in different directions. Karasuma does not want a relationship, romantic or sexual, and just wants to live life as simply a tired dad to his assassin children. -The vibe I get from Irina trying to seduce Kurasama is the vibe I get from Teruhashi and Saiki. Only obsessed because he won't pay attention when everyone else pays too much attention, then develops feelings for who they are.
-I think my favorite part is how much almost everyone's heart is in the right place. And how everyone comes in with this clear-cut mission and goal and Korosensei just kind of...teachers them into being compassionate and letting loose. Karma. Ritsu. Karasuma, Irina. Almost anyone.
-Have I mentioned how batshit insane it is for the government to be like yes. We can't kill this unkillable creature that blew up the moon. How about we let him teach a class of middle schoolers, since he's gonna kill us all anyway. Absolute madlads.
-Yes I know the reason, no it doesn't stop it from being insane. And the government just has anti-sensei material to just provide for whoever the fuck wants it.

-Really hating principal bitchface. Like I know that's his character but WOW setting up a class to fail with poor facilities and then making the laughing stock of the school on PURPOSE? That's messed up.
-I mentioned this earlier but Karasuma and Irina coming to be assassins and then just worrying about the kids and their future is everything. Is them being parental figures a tag? it should be
-I have FEELINGS about the howmany-part season finale (i lost count I actually have been studying in between letting this show consume me)

On Rick Riordan Criticism
Okay so a couple months back I heard about people hating on Rick. Honestly I just kind of dismissed it because I thought he did good on representation and was only reading the Trials of Apollo at the time.
Then I read the Tyrant’s Tomb (sue me I didn’t read it earlier high school has been a bitch). When I saw Arabic script on those pages, I literally had to fight myself to not skip the paragraphs before that and try to read it. I failed. I read the word. I was confused. It didn’t make any sense? The letters were disjointed and didn’t spell out anything I could understand. So I went back and read the paragraph hoping for context. None. I went and read the word backwards and only THEN did I find out it was meant to say Alexandria.
Rick, why? Why write it like that? Was Google Translate beyond you? I started to look back. I remembered reading Magnus Chase and meeting Samirah. I was super excited to see a HIJABI character. A MUSLIM character. I read about her arranged marriage to Amir. Okay, cool. My parents were an arranged marriage.
Betrothed? I’m from India, and I live in a Muslim country, but I’d never really heard about betrothal before. It made me pause but I just kind of moved past it. Samirah was Iraqi-American right? Maybe Iraq had different a culture. Maybe it was a Shia Muslim thing? I wasn’t looking to get into that drama so I left it.
I thought back to Blood of Olympus. I was kind of uncomfortable with Frazel’s age gap and Piper’s sexualisation in her claiming. I didn’t completely understand it but I remember being slightly uncomfortable but moving past it. After all it was only 3 years right? My parents were 5 years apart. Why did it matter? And Western media is no stranger to sexualizing people, maybe I was just being a prude. Piper singing Summertime instead of a Traditional Cherokee song to charm the king of snakes disappointed me too. I was excited to see how Rick would portray her voice singing a song that belonged to an ancient culture.
But we didn’t get that.
I read those books in middle school. When I could understand the need for representation but not understand what representation was good and what was harmful, regardless of intent. I was young. I thought Nico’s forced coming out was amazing and cool. It wasn’t. It was traumatic. I identify as Sapphic and being forced to come out to someone when you thought they wouldn’t accept you is beyond terrifying.
I’m older, I’m more aware. We don’t just need representation. We need GOOD representation. What’s wrong with the things I pointed out above?
Children shouldn’t be getting betrothed. Especially not that young.
Frazel’s age gap shouldn’t be that big. A year at most, not three. My parents may be 5 years part but guess what? They were adults. Hazel Lavesque is THIRTEEN. She’s barely a teenager. She doesn’t need to worry about relationships at that age. Literally every other character was in their mid-teens when they started dating. Including Frank, who is the other half of that ship.
Piper is already disconnected from her heritage and is written with racist stereotypes, however unintentional they may be. This was literally building up to her showing some pride in her culture but no.
There are so many characters that have been portrayed wrong or with harmful stereotypes. Mr. Riordan, you are a famous author. You can afford to hire a person of that community to come and read your books to make sure you aren’t perpetuating stereotypes. Instead you choose to give non-apologies and continue to do less than the bare minimum to learn about the cultures you write about.
Look, I’m not going to pretend I can be a voice to a whole community. I was born in a country of brown people, I moved to a country of brown people, and my whole life I’ve had my religion respected and my race was never an issue. I was sheltered for the longest time. I can’t pretend to understand the kind of discrimination and other struggles other brown people, other muslim people, have had to face in more western countries simply for existing. The only thing I can do is call attention to discrimination and racism where I see it and try to help. I can call people out on it and learn more about other cultures to be a better ally to people who have it harder than me.

Still thinking about how we should've gotten Percy and Annabeth acting as the 7's older siblings/parent friends instead of...whatever their dynamic in HoO was.
It would make so much more sense too because Percy and Annabeth are around 17 to the other's 13-16. Plus, we know that Percy is pretty bitter about the Gods for being deadbeat parents and all the other shit they pull including but not limited to letting their children fight wars.
So like Percy being proud of Jason for being such a good leader and stuff but being low-key bitter because he literally spent his whole life training himself to be a leader and warrior just because he's Jupiter's on.
Jason being a little jealous of Percy because he's older and he's cool and got the preatorship in like a month where he had to work for it. But also him finally learning to relax because now he doesn't need to be the leader. He could still give relevant input without being expected to have all the answers. None of that alpha male "I should lead this team" bullshit
Leo and Piper having someone to confide in about knowing their heritage for just a few months before being thrust into the biggest prophecy in a century. For that matter Hazel and Frank too but with gaining confidence in their powers.
Percy and Annabeth being protective of these kids because by gods they're just KIDS. And yeah Percy and Annabeth are technically still kids too but, at least they had support systems. No one else within the 7 had anyone they could truly confide in without fearing that they'd disappoint someone until these two came along.
Rick seems to have forgotten how age gaps work in teenagers but they're important. The teens are a formative period of life because of huge changes within surroundings and yourself. As people, teens grow incredibly fast. Even someone 2 years older than them is at a way different place in life. Annabeth and Percy would definitely see Hazel and Frank's crushes and shut that down real quick because he's 3 years older than her and it's not appropriate.
After Percy and Annabeth fall into Tartarus (it should've been Jason and Piper but whatever), Jason tries to take the reigns but they suffer some type of loss and he realizes they're all his equals and he needs to play as a member of the team and not just the leader. There is no Nico bashing because he is also a kid and I won't stand for it
I had a point and it has devolved into my personal headcanon but feel free to add on to it
