Renata startled awake and clambered to her feet. Slowly blinking the spots from her eyes, she groaned, “Ugh. W-Where am I?”

“You are back in the realm of the living, my champion. And for that, you are most welcome.”

Renata looked up to see the goddess Nylea towering over her. However, her flat-toned response was less than grateful: “If you’re here, that must mean…” The huntress looked down at her hands to see they had become patterned with all the stars in the night sky. She pulled a handful of her hair into view to discover it had undergone a similar transformation. “Why did you turn me into a constellation?”

“Not a constellation, my champion. A Nyxborn.”

“…A constellation.”

“Nay, you still have stories to make. For instance, you must now stop the madness of Heliod and his disciple Daxos!”

Renata ignored Nylea’s command. She turned to walk in the opposite direction of the god, towards a vast, deserted plain. “Help,” she cried half-heartedly, to no one in particular.

“Yes, I shall help you.” Nylea rematerialized before Renata. The god knelt down to ground level and held out her palm. A small grove of trees florurished in her hand. “I shall instantly transport you to where Daxos is traveling. You must stop him! He and Heliod seek to…”

“Help.”

[I’m sure the demigods of Theros were just ecstatic at the thought of being yoinked out of Ilysia and put to work again!]
