I've probably said this before, and i dont have the energy to dig for examples, but mondo is. SO defensive of his masculinity to the point where the insinuation of doing - or god forbid, LIKING anything femenine sets him off. And a lot of people make it a transmasc reading, but tbh i think it can ABSOLUTELY go both ways and make just as much sense. To me, that is. A girl that by circumstance grew up in a very toxic and male-dominated environment. She is isolated by the entire gang despite being the sibling of a guy they're supposed to respect. She is constantly trying to live in the shadow of daiya and emulating his appearance and leadership instead of becoming her own individual. SHE FUCKING. PUTS LITTLE BOWS ON HER CRUSTY LITTLE MALE DOG. If i wrote chapter 2. It would be so fulla eggs you could fry a damn omelette ok. That shit would go crazy.
