Queer horror makes me so unbelievably happy and absolutely destroyed by how consistently mishandled it is

genuinely i want to write a whole essay on the subject because aaaaa!!!!!!

#It actually drives me crazy how badly queer horror is written #its definitely subjective and im not saying there isnt ANY good queer horror #lots of queer media IS horror #i love the connection between gay people and horror #but theres still so many problems that just #im also a huge hypocrite #sometimes i want media that revolves around queer stories #and sometimes i just want a better #written #queer character who just happens to be in horror #i think a lot of media struggles with that distinction too #good writing mixes the two together #i just like horror has that personal flare to it #not in a way that only appeals to me #just in general #personal fear #and on screen hot sweaty gay sex obviously #can i say that here #text
