tara’s LTW is, of course, to raise 20 puppies/kittens. unfortunately, there’s no kittens up for adoption. fortunately, mickey’s a boy, samantha’s a girl...can i make it any more obvious?? (faline is out of the question bc she just aged up. she’s still a baby in my heart)

compared to her very tense first week, tara has a lazy sunday! she just chills out and tends to the cats. god i wish that were me

later that sunday, tara invites kara over, and i realize that this uberhood is full of really cool elder sims wtf!! also mickey gets promoted because he’s just that cool. he gets a yummy treat and a lot of love for his hard work!

despite her near death by heatstroke, tara has had a really good week. btw, halfway through i caved and made her officially family/popularity, since all her wants were friend oriented already. here’s some more info about kara todd! she likes red hair but...no hat?? but...tara’s hat... :(

tara’s had a want to get engaged since they fell in love, but i’m gonna wait until the next rotation to think about it ;)

hey there! i played the first week of the kat household in my uberhood, buuuut for some reason most of the screenshots didn’t save! wahoo!!

here’s a recap before i post what i have: tara had less than 100 simoleons when i played her lot, she got a job in the education track, faline grew up to be a very pretty baby!! after pining for cyd roseland, she met a townie named kara todd, and they’re now in love! gay rights <3 also she almost died of heatstroke and i had a heart attack

after a successful, if relatively-short career as a true dog champion, porthos is settling down and trying to get his act together at home. cyd roseland’s dreams are still in progress, though: he wants to reach the top of oceanography! (swimming helps the muscles, after all) unfortunately, he has to take a military job for the moment

his welcome wagon is pretty eventful. he has 2 bolts with all three ladies there, and he has his 1st kiss with Tara Kat! ACR’s work, not mine, though nothing serious develops between them just yet!

jessica tries her hand at a lot of things, and she finished her first painting! apparently, matthew’s one true hobby is arts & crafts. who knew? i don’t think he did! jonathan’s gonna age up at the next rotation. no toddlers to deal with yet. :9

jessica’s garden is, tbh, a little subpar, but at least she did it! we leave off with the picassos being good parents and very in love.

jessica, despite a lot of heatstroke, has an otherwise smooth pregnancy and has a baby boy named jonathan picasso! everyone’s very excited. even the friend who tried to invite them out WHILE she was in labor. jessica’s still a little woozy from the high temperatures. 

“Hey little guy. just want you to know -- yeah, yeah, lots of stuff happening in one day, I get it, but we already love you so much! And the second you’re walking, we’ll take you anywhere you want to go!”

"But maybe hold off on hiking for a while with how hot it is, no matter how much that hurts to say...Matt, make sure you don’t make him sick!”

i decide to do the sensible thing and have cyd ask more about celeste before things get serious. but honestly, i think she might be kind of perfect for him?

she’s got a cool career, wants to get fit, and cares about porthos! and she’s got PINK HAIR! what’s not to love?

the roseland round ends with porthos being a Good Boy and cyd rolling a want for a date. and also getting the whole bed to himself. :)

after a promotion, cyd has the weekend off, so he invites julian over to try and make friends! trent traveler tags along and silently judges cyd. celeste shows up again, and they flirt again, becoming best friends and gaining Crushes. n’aww. 

i decide to wait until cyd rolls the want for a date again to go on one (which won’t take long, halfway thru the week i gave him pleasure secondary)

cyd’s having a lot of romance drama so far! he invites mary over, and she immediately guns for casual woohoo. i put an end to it, no adultery just yet, mary! later, he pushes his luck and tries to flirt, which she puts a stop to.

aside from that, cyd learns physiology, maxes out the body skill, and dabbles in some other skills, too!

cyd finally gets his dream job! on this sudden day off, i see a really cool townie named celeste and send him off to make friends. i mean, look at her! she’s got pink hair! they also have two bolts and ACR it up.

he invites tara over for some pillow fights (not a euphemism) and they end up kissing again, but otherwise, no moves to be serious. celeste stops by for a second time later and they keep on flirting :0

cyd gets called for a downtown outing, but his needs are too low to have a really good time. thus starts his weekly rituals of skilling (knowledge sim), looking for oceanography in the paper, and sleeping his workday away. he’s making a decent living with the military track so far!

the kims keep to themselves so far, surprisingly enough, but justin and cynthia both had a want to go fishing so they did! (sadly my game is glitchy so i have no good pictures of it)

robert gets another promotion (he had three in a row, i think!), and later gets to skilling for the next one! i also decide to give justin a makeover before he ages up -- which will happen the next week i play them. i ended their week with gabby being a bad dog, and cynthia’s hair and clothes clipping like crazy, wahoo!!

i don’t get cynthia a new job right away, mostly bc she doesn’t have a work-related LTW and it’s nice not having to hire the nanny. it lets her and justin have a nice family breakfast!!
