She didn't want to be at another garden party. Of course she would be anywhere, anytime her sister needed her. It was Kate's duty to squire her sister around with their mother, helping to act as a buffer between Edwina and all of her anxious suitors. Edwina was a great beauty, and had her share of prospects this season. "Not your scene either? You seem popular enough." Swearing under her breath as she tried to shove the manuscripts into the bag as she walked down the street from her office, she didn't see the man heading towards her until too late. The manuscripts tumbled onto the pavement, Eloise grimacing as she scrambled to grab them before the got kicked into the street. "No, no, no, no...." She turned her head to look at the man, the harsh words dying on her lips. "Colin?"
