The sun was warm on your skin as you walked down the aged steps of your boyfriend's villa, the skies were clear, reflecting the beautiful blue of the ocean view you had from the cliffside home. You were only in a fairly skimpy bikini, with a loose sheer dress thrown over the top, since you were heading the pool, there were three actually but your favourite was the smaller one, right on the cliff edge, where you could look out across the vast landscape.  It was late afternoon now, Javi had just returned home from the orchard, inviting you down to the more private pool for a pre-dinner dip, you’d told him to meet you there as you sauntered off to get changed.
When you walked into the shaded area, Javi was already laid out on one of the sun loungers, one hand behind his head, stretching out his arm, sunglasses shielding his eyes, he had a light linen shirt on and that damned striped speedo he loved so much. If someone told you that you would love a man in a speedo you would have laughed in their face but Javi? Oh he was something else. He was built different, his broad shoulders, strong arms and that perfect fucking face, not to mention his gorgeous curls but the one thing you loved about him the most? His thighs.
They were so…rideable. And when you got closer, the soft sounds of your feet alerting your boyfriend, who turned his head softly to watch as you padded towards the him, your breath hitched, seeing the way one of his legs was outstretched, the other bent so his foot was placed firmly on the comfortable bed below. Your mouth almost watered at the sight, his tanned skin was glowing under the late afternoon sun, emphasising the shape of his legs even more. You had stopped just at the end of his chair, admiring his body.
“Are you okay, hermosa?” He asked softly, sitting up a little, looking at you over the top of his sunglasses. You swallowed thickly, nodding.
“Yes, yeah. I’m, I’m fine.” you managed out, a tut coming from your lover below you.
“Now, cariño, you know you cannot lie to me. Tell me what is the matter” he sat up a little more, patting the edge of the lounge. You shakily moved over to perch on the edge of it, Javi instantly leaned over, pressing soft kisses to your bare shoulder that made your heart ache for him.
“It’s.. you just..” you trailed, his large hand had rested on your lower back now as he sat back, he was rubbing gentle circles into your flushed skin, you turned to face him a little more, your eyes running across his thighs as you did so.
“I just, what mi amor?” He asked, tilting his head.
“You just looked so fucking good right now” you blurted out, Javi tossed his head back in a laugh, that beautiful honey sweet laugh that you loved so much. You couldn’t help biting your lip when you watched how his neck presented itself to you, making you impossibly hotter than you already were from the sun and the gorgeous man laid in front of you.
“Thank you, you look beautiful too” he complimented, causing you to blush a deep red. You could see a faint tint to Javi’s cheeks under his sunglasses too, he was always a little shy when you complimented him, he’d become more used to it the longer you dated, it wasn’t that he didn’t like the way he looked, it was just that someone as beautiful as you was telling him how beautiful he was. The more comfortable he got with you, the more confident he became, so when the next thing rolled off his tongue, it didn’t surprise you. “What do you like most, sweet girl?”
“I like your thighs” you said, trying to look away from his gaze. You heard that pleased chuckle again, you felt yourself whine when you watched him open his legs a little wider, showing you more of that beautiful tanned skin. Hearing that noise fall from your lips made Javi yearn to hear it again.
“What do you like about my thighs?” he asked, his voice dropping lower, accent getting thicker as he spoke.
“They’re so… strong” you said in a quiet voice, Javi’s hand slipped from behind your back then, to gently tip your chin up delicately, you could see his eyes were blown wide beneath the shade of his glasses.
“Would you like sit on them, hermosa?” He asked, completely catching you off guard for a second before you were nodding slowly, he groaned softly, sitting back on the sunbed further, so he was more propped up at the back, his right leg still outstretched, but he dropped his left knee a little more, not completely flush to his seat. “Take off the bottoms of your swimsuit for me please” he said, giving you a gentle tap on your own thigh.
That was the thing with Javi, even when he was absolutely ruining you, he was still polite and courteous, it made you always want him more, no man had ever made you feel so respected when he was fucking you like an animal but Javi? He was able to give you the filthiest fucks of your life but would always know the right time to soften and check on you, unlike any other man you had been with. You stood up, shimmying down your bikini bottoms down until they hit the cool stone floor below, your cover-up just skimming the edges of your plush cheeks. Javi held a hand out to you, which you took, his other hand coming round to up the back of your knee, lifting up your leg, guiding you to plant you firmly on his left thigh.
He was so warm against you, his skin heated by the sun just like your own, but also Javi’s body was always naturally warm, always inviting you to be enveloped by every inch of this man. His hands slipped from your own, moving to gently rest one on the small of your back and one on your hip, you felt a gentle push of encouragement from him and you got the idea.
You bit your lip as you started to slowly rock back and forth against your lover, your hands were planted firmly on his broad shoulders as you swayed your hip ever so carefully, you’d never done this with him before, you’d never done this with  anyone but something about this man always made you want try new things and Javi always had something new for you to try. You let out a soft moan as you caught your sensitive clit against his thigh, Javi was watching you in awe, keeping his hold on you just tight enough so you knew he was there, but not tight enough to stop your movement, just aide them along.
You felt a little cautious as you rocked back and forth against the man below you timidly, but as you continued to slowly roll your hips, you were instantly craving more. You could feel yourself getting wetter and wetter with each roll of your hips, you needed something to signal he wanted this just as much as you did, so you could really let go. Javi sat up further as if he had read your mind, slotting your lips to his in one of the most gentle, sweetest kisses only he knew how to give you, you hummed into him, one of your hands moving to trail up his neck, fingers lacing into the soft curls at the nape of his neck.
He only pulled back to mutter to you “Take what you need from me, mi amor” and you were a goner. That was all you needed, plus the feeling of his hands tightening around your waist along with him pressing his thigh towards you, chasing your heat himself. You started to rock even further, grinding your hips down, moaning as your bud rolled against him over and over again. You were running your fingers through his hair, those beautiful caramel curls easily slipping through your fingers, they felt just as soft as the kisses Javi was leaving across your neck and shoulders as you took what you needed from him.
Your noises picked up, more frequent gentle mewls as the pressure began to build, now you were eagerly rolling your hips against him, grinding your sensitive core into his heated skin, the hand that wasn’t busy tangled in your lover’s hair, started to drop down across his soft linen shirt, aiming to share the pleasure you were feeling with him but before you could make it, one of his hands reached up, stopping you.
“No, sweet girl, this is about you right now” he said softly, pressing a tender kiss to your palm, before lacing his fingers through your own. He was sat up fully now, you were pressing your chest to his, arching you back, encouraged by the way his arm wrapped around your waist, pulling you back and forth across him. You knew you were close, Javi did too, he could see it on your face even through his sunglasses, you buried your nose into his neck, taking in the expensive cologne, moaning and rolling your hips more incessantly.
“Come on, let go for me, I know you would like to” he whispered and that had you hurtling over the edge, your hips moving faster, sloppier and much less precise than before. It wasn’t the most intense orgsam Javi had ever given you but fuck did it feel amazing. He was so soft, so loving, so caring and as your high ripped through your body, you couldn’t hold back the loud moan of his name. He held onto you tightly, you knew that when he stood up, he would be glistening not just from the sun and sweat but from you and what you had just done.
Your hand relaxed your hold on his hair as you slowly came down, your hips coming to a careful stop, Javi was still pressing small kisses to your bare skin as you sat there in pure bliss.
“Do you feel better, cariño?” he asked you quietly, careful not to disturb your post orgasmic  bliss.
You slowly lifted up so you could look over your boyfriend’s handsome face, you didn’t respond, instead you pressed your lips to his, over and over again. He chuckled between the kisses, holding you tightly against him, when you finally pulled away, you rested your forehead against his.
“How do you feel, baby?” you asked him, matching his quiet caring tone he was using with you.
“I am feeling as if I would like to take you to bed and make love to you, if you would let me” he replied, bringing your interlocked fingers to his plush lips, leaving a couple of tender kisses across your knuckles. A new wave of arousal thrummed through you at his words, Javi probably felt it on his thigh as it did.
“I would love that, Javi” you whispered, with that you were being helped to shaky legs, Javi helped you slip on your bottoms again, you bit your lip seeing your slick across his thigh from where he had let you get yourself off. It turned you on all over again and you were eagerly pulling your lover away from the pool and through the house, all whilst stopping to share in heated kisses every now and again.
Javi did just what he promised, he kept you wrapped up in his large bed for the rest of the evening, a beautiful sunset dinner was forgotten instead replaced by junk food and Javi feasting on you as many times as you could handle.

Pack - Chapter 10
Casa Werewolf Series #10
Chapters 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9
Pairing: Javi Gutierrez x Werewolf Single Mom f!Reader Summary: Placido’s confession threatens to unravel everything you and Javi have created together Warnings: angst, deceit, panic/anxiety attack, language, implied sexuality, non-sexual nudity Words: 3k
Tumblr media
When Javi goes to speak to the headmistress of the private school, you head up to the third floor, where the triplets have their bedrooms and large play area. Javi transformed the space just for them and has instructed staff members not to enter it when the door is shut, which allows the kids to romp around in Wolf form whenever they want.
When you reach the top of the stairs, your heightened hearing picks up the quiet conversation they’re having.
“I don’t care if I get expelled. That place sucks,” Bo huffs.
“You have to go to school, though!” Tallulah protests. “Or you’ll grow up dumb.”
“I don’t need to be smart if I can play sports,” he argues.
“Do you have to be smart to do art?” Astrid asks.
You knock on the playroom door lightly, wait for them to invite you in, and then open it. They’re all on a sofa, looking morose.
“Mama, do you have to be smart to do art?” Astrid repeats.
“You’re already smart.” You crouch in front of them. “You don’t have to go to school to be smart, but you still do need to go to learn.”
“I don’t wanna go anymore!” Bo scowls.
You stroke a finger softly down his bruised face. “What if there was another school? Would you be open to that?”
“I dunno,” he grumbles.
Tallulah eyes you skeptically. “There are other schools?”
“There are. Mama and Javi are looking into them. I want you to learn in a place where you feel safe. Nobody should bully you. You shouldn’t have to fight other kids. Grownups need to do something besides yell and threaten when you need help. I’m going to find you somewhere that you don’t feel like you need to run away, okay?”
All three relax.
“Can I have a bubble bath?” Astrid asks hopefully.
You chuckle. “Of course you can.”
After Astrid is clean, you leave the triplets in Nina’s care to eat, and then go in search of Javi.
His study door is open and you see him on his computer. Immediately, you scent that he’s anxious. Knocking lightly on the door frame, you ask, “You all right?”
He starts, looking up at you like he’s been caught doing something naughty. “Oh, hi,” he says with an unconvincing breathless laugh.
“Did I catch you at a bad time?” you joke, although you’re disquieted by his mood. He’s so rarely unsettled.
He shakes his head. “I’m feeling a little shaky from earlier. Just residual nerves about what might have happened to the niños.”
You hum sympathetically, walking to his chair and hugging his neck from behind. “That’s very understandable.”
He turns to look at you with a genuine smile. “I was about to come find you to tell you the wonderful news. The headmistress of my alma mater is delighted to welcome them and the administration will be emailing the paper work today. I’m going to my attorney’s and then the bank to set up payment. By Monday, they’ll be attending classes!”
You laugh in delight. “Wow, that’s incredible! I can’t believe it’s happening that fast.”
He smiles, his tension easing at your reaction. “Tonight, should we go out somewhere to celebrate after we tell them?”
You beam. “Yes. And I’m going to call their current school and inform them that I’m pulling them all out. They’ll stay home the rest of the week.”
“I’m sure they won’t mind a little holiday,” he chuckles.
It’s a testament to how much they really don’t want to return to the public school that all of them, even Astrid, embrace the news excitedly.
After a delicious meal at the family’s favorite restaurant, the kids beg to go back to Javi’s to spend the night, claiming it’s basically the weekend since they’re not going to school again until Monday. It’s only Tuesday, but Javi’s more than willing, so you agree.
As you and he settle into his bed that evening, you sigh. It’s hard to believe only twelve hours ago you and he’d been in this exact spot, having no clue about the phone call you’d soon receive. “Fuck, what a day.”
He lets out a wheezy laugh in agreement.
As you throw a leg across his wonderfully soft tummy, a question pops out of your mouth before you’ve even properly considered it, “Should we think about moving in together?”
“Really?”
Even though you hadn’t expected to ask, you don’t regret bringing it up. “My lease is up in a couple months. And it’s obvious the kids would rather be here, anyway. So would I.” You laugh sheepishly. “I know I just made you jump through a bunch of hoops so I wouldn’t be financially dependent on you, but your willingness to come up with a solution has made me confident we can figure out the financials of living together, too.”
He looks at you with such adoration and excitement, running a thumb over your lips. “I would like that very much.” He laughs. “So very, very much!”
You giggle as his excitement quickly takes a more physical form.
- - -
After breakfast the next morning, you send the kids upstairs to entertain themselves so you can get some work done in the office Javi has created for you. Both Bo and Astrid’s injuries have completely healed thanks to the power of their Wolves, and you’re glad they’re staying home from school so you don’t have to coach Bo about what to say if someone asks why he has no bruise from being punched.
Just as you’re settling in front of the computer, Javi appears in the doorway, trying to hide his obvious strain behind a smile. “Do you have time to talk?”
“Of course, my love. What’s up?”
After shutting the door, he sits on the sofa and gestures for you to join him. When you do, he takes your hands. “There’s something I need to tell you, and it’s important that you know there’s nothing to worry about.”
You eye him. “Then, why do you reek of it?”
“I’m concerned about your reaction,” he admits.
“Oh, god, did the kids get rejected from the private school?” Shit, what are you going to do now? There really aren’t other schools nearby.
“No, no,” he reassures. “The school is fine. It’s… Placido. He… He knows you’re werewolves.”
“Wh-what?” you stammer.
He rushes on, “He’s not going to say anything to anyone, he swears. You and the niños are still safe.”
Breath shallow and ears ringing, all you can do is gape. Placido knows. You got lucky with Javi, a man so honorable that he deleted the footage of your children without even being asked. But lightning doesn’t strike twice, and, no matter how loyal Placido is to Javi, you can’t trust him not to tell such a huge secret.
Javi’s still talking, “He’s known for a long time. But he hasn’t said a word to anyone, not even me, until yesterday. He wanted—”
But you cut him off sharply, “He told you yesterday and you didn’t say anything to me?”
Javi grimaces apologetically. “After the scare you’d already had with the kids, I didn’t think you needed the stress.”
“‘The stress’?” you spit in disbelief.
"I'm sorry, I was—"
You cut him off, fury mounting, "You agreed to us moving into this house, knowing full-well that another human who works here knows about us?! It didn't occur to you that I needed to know that information before making any kind of decision?"
The guilt on his face is undeniable.
Let me out! the Wolf shrieks, shoving against your insides. She wants Javi to feel her wrath, too.
You ignore her, not willing to give up your words. “This is my family’s lives, Javi!”
“It’s my family’s lives, too!” he shoots back, suddenly matching your anger. "You are my family and, if I thought you were at risk, I'd have done something about it immediately. But Placido is not a risk!”
“You don’t understand the risk! You’ll never understand the risks because you’re not one of us!”
Your Wolf breaks through, ripping your clothes as she takes over your body. You stand in front of Javi on all fours, sides heaving. You want to snarl at him, to roar at him, but all that comes out is a strangled whimper.
How could he?
“Mi luz,” he whispers pleadingly, reaching out to touch your face.
You back away from him. The human part of you is yelling at the Wolf to let you transform back so you can get the kids and leave. But that suppressed side is no match for the frightened, hurt creature in control now.
Javi speaks in a quiet, grief-roughened voice. “I know I can’t completely understand what you’re going through because I’m not a Wolf. But I do understand the fear of losing your family because that’s what I’m feeling now. I’m scared you’re going to disappear and I’ll never see you or the pups again.” Tears shine in his eyes.
You stare at him, literally having no idea what to do. He’s your mate. But your children are also in terrible danger now. And he hid it from you for a whole night!
“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you yesterday. I wanted time to figure out how to do it in a way that wouldn’t upset you.”
This time, when he reaches to touch you, you allow it. His beloved fingers move through the fur on your chest.
“If you need to disappear to another country, to change your identities, consider it done. I’ll make sure it happens. Just… please think about taking me, too.” The tears slip silently down his cheeks.
In the next breath, you’re human again, sitting on the floor, naked and weeping.
He slides down next to you, murmuring your name. But when he moves to hold you, you push yourself to your feet. “I need time to think about what to do. Could you get me something to wear so me and the kids can go home?” Your tone is curt.
Despite looking like you’ve punched him, Javi doesn’t protest. He slips from the room, closing the door silently behind him.
- - -
The kids know something’s wrong. It’s impossible to stuff your feelings deep enough for them not to sense them. But you have no idea what to tell them beyond you’ve got some things to take care of at home and you’d like them to come with you.
They follow you into the apartment, confused and worried. You inhale shakily, turning to them. “Mama’s got a lot of feelings right now. Would you give me an hour by myself to process them? I promise, it’s nothing you’ve done and nothing you need to worry about. Sometimes I just get overwhelmed.”
Bo gives you a tight hug around your middle. “You should eat a snack. That always helps me.”
You stroke his head, fighting back tears. “That’s a good idea.”
Tallulah and Astrid then hug you, too, offering their own sage advice of how to self-soothe, before your three darling kids go to their rooms.
You collapse onto the sofa, smothering your sobs into your hands. What are you supposed to do? Staying is impossible, but going feels just as impossible. To leave without Javi is to abandon a huge chunk of your heart. Yet, how can you ask him to abandon his home and livelihood? Not to mention, you’re really fucking pissed at him!
You’ve spiraled for who knows how long when there’s a soft but urgent knock at the door. Startled, you jump up. Javi promised to give you some space, so it won’t be him.
When you look out the peep hole, you’re alarmed to see Placido standing in the hallway. What does he want? Is he here to threaten you? Did Javi send him?
The Wolf is immediately at the ready again, a heartbeat away from emerging to protect your family.
Placido calls your name and then says, “Please, can we talk? I realize I should have come to you myself rather than make Javi the messenger. I was hoping it’d make you more comfortable, but now I realize you need to hear my story from me to understand the last thing I want is harm for you or your kids.”
He smells and sounds earnest. Very earnest. But you’re so keyed up it’s hard to trust your instincts. “Are you armed?”
“No. But even if I was, I’ve no doubt you could handle me.” There’s an admiring quality to his voice.
He’s right, you could handle him if you had to, especially this close to the full moon. And you would like to see if you can feel out his intentions.
You unlock the door and open it, hissing, “We will be going onto the balcony. Keep your voice low so the children won’t hear.”
Placido walks past you and directly to the door leading to the balcony. Once you’re both outside, arms crossed against the chill, you say, “Javi claims you’ve known since before him. Did you see the footage, too? Or one of them transform?”
“No, but I recognized the signs in Bo right away. How fast he ran when he got spotted on the compound, the way his body moved, his strength, and that he seemed to be able to hear conversations outside the range of a normal human’s hearing.”
You narrow your eyes at him. While it’s obvious that your children are fast, people don’t just assume lycanthropy. Unless… “We’re not the first Wolves you’ve met, are we?”
“My aunt married a werewolf,” he shrugs. “When we were kids, my cousins used to transform in front of me, even though they weren’t supposed to. Eventually, when it became clear I wasn’t going to tell anyone, I was embraced into that part of the family.”
It’s not common in mixed families for the humans who aren’t married to or children of werewolves to know what they are. But his whole countenance is steady and calm. There’s no hint of deceit coming from him.
“You’re the first person I’ve told about the Wolves I know,” he continues. “But since you’re a Wolf yourself, I think the secret is safe with you.”
You nod with a small smile. “Of course.”
Body feeling suddenly weak, you sink onto the patio bench. Your world might actually not be ending.
Placido sits next to you. “I only told Javi that I knew about you and the kids because I believe I can better protect them if you’re aware you have an ally. I sorry I didn’t approach you first, it was a misstep.”
“I’m not sure I'd have taken it any better if you'd told me yourself,” you sigh. “It’s so ingrained in me to be afraid of humans knowing what we are. Especially since becoming a single mother.”
“I can only imagine,” he says gently. “But I don’t think you have to stay a single mother any longer unless you want to.”
- - -
After Placido leaves, you take a long shower to give yourself extra time to think. Then, you text Javi, requesting he visit after the kids have gone to bed so you can talk.
When he arrives, he can barely look you in the eye and you can sense it’s taking every ounce of restraint for him not to literally fall on his knees and beg you to forgive him.
“Placido came to see me,” you say quietly.
His surprised expression, then worried one, indicate he had no idea.
“We talked for a while and he convinced me that he’s going to keep our secret.”
“How?”
“That’s between me and him,” you say with a small smile. “But now I believe he wants keep us safe, just like you do.”
Javi nods vigorously. “I fucked up, but I swear that’s all I want.”
You reach for his hand. “I know.”
His eyes drop, staring at your fingers entwined. “I’m so sorry. It was selfish and stupid. I have no excuses for breaking your trust. I’ll do whatever it takes to earn it again.”
“I forgive you,” you say honestly. “And I understand why you were worried about telling me. No matter how committed I’ve claimed to be to you, it’s probably felt like I’ve had one foot out the door, ready to bolt the same way my kids do at the first sign of trouble.”
He gives a little shrug and sheepish chuckle. “Just a little.”
Your chest clenches with the confirmation you’ve hurt him. “I’m sorry. Really, truly sorry.”
“No, mi amor, you have nothing—“
You interrupt, “I do. If I had sensed that kind of hesitation in you, I’d never have been with you. But you chose to risk your heart on a family that might break it at any second.” Now that you’re saying it out loud, it makes you want to cry.
Javi touches your cheek, smiling tenderly. “I never once questioned if you were worth it.”
Wrapping your arms around his neck, you rest your forehead against his. “If we ever do have to leave, I’m not going without you. Because you were right: we are a family. And I’m going to fight for you the same way I fight for my kids. The same way you fight for us. We are pack.”
His eyes shimmer joyfully. “We are pack.”
You give him a coy smile. “Are there any other facts I need to be aware of before we move in?”
“Just that I love you very, very much.”
“I think I can live with that,” you grin, leaning in. You catch his mouth with yours, letting the Wolf out just enough that the kiss leaves him a quivering mess. And then you kiss him like that again.

Ok… I desperately need someone to make me Pedro Pascal characters hanahaki disease fics…
Like you all have no idea how much I am absolutely LOVING these fics right now… sadly I haven’t been able to find anything with any Pedro characters at all. Like their just dry when you look up the tags for them.
Please someone! Anyone! Make me a fic with Frankie, Marcus M, Marcus P, Oberyn martell, Max Phillips, Zach Wellison, Din Djarin, Javier Peña, Marcus Pike, Ezra, Jack Daniels “Agent Whiskey”, Pero Tovar, or Javi Guiterrez.
I will forever love it if someone makes me one because I am dying to read a hanahaki disease fic for one of his characters.

Alright my loves! Here’s the round up for this weeks fic recs! A reminder to everyone that my blog houses 21+ content. This post isn’t any different. I’m not adding in the specific tags or warnings for each rec here but know that they can house adult content as well.
✨ If you are under 21, please do not interact.✨
1.  cool for the summer by @queenofthefaceless
A lovely indulgent and fluff fic for our boy Javi Gutierrez (featuring a F!Reader). I love that this movie hasn’t even been released yet but there’s still such amazing content out here for Javi already.
I absolutely adored this oneshot. I know for sure that my bucket list has always had a “steamy makeout session with a hot bachelor at his yacht party” on it. Being able to read made me jump it up in the ranks on “to do”.
Also the banter between the friends is perfect. The quip when our reader says “If you say boat one more time, I am going to smack you.” had me chuckling out loud. It’s a perfect anecdote.
2. Sea Breeze by @moralesispunk
This is a comforting, slow paced story about Fisherman!Frankie and tbh, I didn’t know I needed Fisherman!Frankie in my life until I came across this. Now, I need it more and more. I need it all!
There’s so much that I love about this series, but most of all, how refreshing and realistic it is about small coastal towns. When our reader hops into his truck at their first “meet-cute” I was like, yes! This is how they do it! Happy to help anyone in need. The fears of city living no where in this fic.
3. i can’t let you go by @manndo
Jheeeze this one, let me tell you. Another Frankie and F!Reader. The angst and hurt in this one is palpable. You can feel - no - you can taste it! It’s heartbreaking but with an ending that leaves the right amount of hope that things will get better for our two characters here!
4. The Last Blockbuster: Double Feature by @blueeyesatnight
Another Javi Guiterrez and F!Reader one. my favourite thing about this one is how perfectly our writer captured the seemingly, wide-eyed innocence's of Javi and his love for all things film and cinema. It’s almost pure boyhood wonder. The way he shares his love with our reader, ugh it really shot my right in my feelings. I read this several times over because of how warm and fuzzy it made me feel!
5. Mon Cheri by @javisjeanjacket
Being woken up by Javi G, only for him to take you on a flight to an undisclosed location and then shower you with all the fancy things in life? Where do I subscribe to this in real life? I want to be spoiled like this, right here right now!
6. Between the Raindrops by @jazzelsaur
I have a very specific post queued up for this one because of how important this story was for me. But, everyone needs to read this. Seriously. It’s a masterpiece. A work of art. It’s Frankie and a Reader/OC hybrid. It’s beautiful.

Here For It - Chapter 5
Casa Werewolf Series #5
Chapters 1 | 2 | 3 | 4
Pairing: Javi Gutierrez x Werewolf Single Mom f!Reader Summary: Your first date with Javi includes delicious food, an emotional conversation, and a request Warnings: mild TUWOMT spoilers, language, discussion of child-on-child bullying and violence, some alcohol consumption, grief, discussion of parental/spousal death, discussion of fatal car accident Words: 3k A/N: Javi’s brother is not canon. Long before The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent came out, @hdlynnslibrary and I came up with the concept that Javi’s brother is David (stage name "Dieter Bravo") from her The Bubble fan fic. It’s a lovely story, so read it!
Tumblr media
It’s five days between the night Javi asks you out and the lunch date, and he spends them in a haze of wild emotions.
On the one hand, he’s unbelievably excited. You’re a beautiful, fascinating, mature woman who has utterly captivated him. On the other, he’s terrified he’s going to mess it up. Will he be able to rise up to be everything you and the kids need him to be?
On Sunday evening, his brother, David, gives him a call. Javi’s happy to hear the cheerfulness in his voice. He’s been sober for five months and has a reoccurring role on a Netflix fantasy series as a mercenary that looks to have a great character arc.
“You sound really good,” Javi smiles as he looks at the sunset from his balcony.
“I feel really good,” David agrees. “What about you? What’s new?”
“Well… I met someone.”
There’s an intrigued hum. “Who is she?”
Javi gives him your first name and then smirks, adding in the bit of information that will surely shock, “She’s a single mother with triplets.”
David inhales sharply. “Triplets?”
“Triplets. They’re eight. A boy and two girls.” He then tells the story of Bo trespassing (minus the lycanthropy, of course) and how that led to bonding with your family.
“This is so typical of you,” David snorts. “You’re living your own rom-com with that kind of meet-cute.”
Javi laughs. “It does rather feel like it. She’s an amazing woman, and I adore her children. I just…” The smile leaves his face. “I worry I’m not good enough for them. What do I know about being a family man? I’ve never even made it to the alter!”
“You’ve always there for me,” David says matter-of-factly. “You’re the strongest part of our family, hands-down. You’ve got a lot of love to give, hermano. Don’t sell yourself short.”
The sweet words make Javi emotional. “Stop, you’re going to make me cry!”
“Hell,” David continues, dry amusement in his voice, “you somehow got Nic Cage to become your BFF. And he’s not an easy man to befriend.”
“That is because Nic and I have a soul connection,” Javi sniffs haughtily. “One you cannot understand.”
They laugh at this.
“Thank you,” Javi smiles, feeling encouraged. “You’re right, I have much to offer. And I’m ready to offer it. I have been for a while, but just haven’t met the right person.”
“I’m just happy you’re not ending up with an actress. It’s a level of drama you’re not made for,” David says with a tut.
Javi wants to laugh again. David’s right, he’s really not made for actresses, but he’s walking into a whole new kind of drama by pursuing a werewolf. And he’s determined to be made for it.
Javi agonizes over which car to drive to pick you up. He definitely doesn’t want to seem too ostentatious, but it’s a lovely late summer day and he’d like the option to put the top down if you’re interested. So, he decides on his silver vintage Porsche 911, hoping you don’t think he’s trying to show off.
Then, he leaves way too early, terrified he’ll run into traffic or fail to secure a parking space by your building. With 15 minutes to kill, he double-checks the picnic basket to make sure he didn’t forget anything.
Fuck, he’s already sweating so much! Grabbing some napkins from the console, he hurriedly dabs at his damp armpits. Why didn’t he wear a darker colored shirt? Or bring extra deodorant?
When he’s got four minutes left, he heads into the old building and begins to walk the three flights of stairs slowly, trying not to cause any more sweating.
Once at your door, he knocks, taking steadying breaths. A moment later, it opens and you stand in front of him, looking as stunning as always, and dressed in a pretty blush-colored linen sundress and a floppy sunhat.
“Hi!” you smile, eyes sparking with excitement. You lean in for the customary cheek kisses again, which makes his heart flutter.
This gives Javi the boost he needs to forget about his nerves and sweaty pits. “¡Buenas! You look beautiful!”
Becoming adorably bashful at the compliment, you duck your head a little. “You look very nice, too.”
After you lock your door, the two of you head down the stairs. He says, ”It’s truly the perfect day to drive down the coast for a beach picnic.”
“I’ve been really looking forward to it,” you grin. “I’ve never been to the beaches in Spain with just an adult before. Don’t get me wrong, I love going with the kids, but it’s chaos.”
He laughs, hoping he’ll get to experience that chaos before too long.
When you reach the car, your mouth drops open in delighted surprise. “This is gorgeous!” Your fingers lightly stroke the curved hood. “Does the top go down?”
Javi’s relieved you’re not put-off by him arriving in an expensive car. “It does! If you want, I’ll put it down.”
“I love cars that you can put the top down.” Your voice drops to a playful whisper, “Maybe it’s the dog in me.”
He grins, quickly doing so. Then, he opens the passenger’s door for you before going around to the driver’s side. “Hang onto your hat!”
You literally do have to keep one hand on your hat as the two of you leave town and he begins to cruise towards the cliffs. He’s still careful not to drive as fast as he normally would, not wanting to scare you or trigger upsetting memories of your late husband’s death.
“I will never get used to that view.” You’re gazing across the sea as the car winds its way down the narrow curved road. “Honestly, Spain isn’t the most practical place for werewolves. Especially the coast. But it makes me happy to see the water every day and be in the sun.”
Javi loves seeing such peace on your face. “I’m certainly glad you decided to come here.”
You smile at him. God, whenever you do that, it hits his very soul.
Once he’s parked the car by the beach, he grabs the picnic basket and the beach umbrella, and the two of you head to find a spot to eat.
“I can carry something,” you offer.
Javi shakes his head with a gentle smile. “You carry everything all day, every day as a mother. I will take care of it for right now.”
You look almost startled and he immediately worries he’s insulted you. But then you smile softly back with a nod.
Soon, you’ve chosen a spot just out of reach of the waves and far enough away from others that no one can overhear your conversation. He stakes the umbrella into the ground and opens it. Then, he unpacks the picnic. You help him spread out the blue-checkered blanket that he bought specifically for this date before he sets out the food.
There’s a sweet rosé wine, gazpacho soup, empanadillas, almond-coated cheese, some of his own company’s marinated olives, and cold lemon cream for dessert.
You gasp in delight at the spread before eagerly popping an olive into your mouth. “Oh, these are good!”
Grinning, Javi also eats one. “I used to make myself sick on them as a kid. I’d sneak into the kitchen and eat as much of the jar as I could before I got caught. If I got through more than half, I was in trouble.”
You snort. “I see you being a very mischievous child.”
“I was,” Javi agrees. “David and I used to run around the compound, doing all sorts of inadvisable things. I would come up with stories and goad him into joining me in enacting them out, even if it meant climbing trees far too tall or jumping off the cliffs into the ocean.” He chuckles. “I’m pretty sure it’s all my fault he became an actor. But it’s also thanks to me he became a good one because I demanded excellence!”
You giggle. “That sounds like a lot of fun.”
“What was your favorite thing to do when you were a little girl?” he asks, pouring the wine out in two glasses.
“Playing hide and seek with my siblings. We’d play as wolf pups, which meant we could go very far, very fast. Whomever was It would have to seek out the others over miles of forest. And we never played fair, either, we were always moving to new hiding spots.” You smile with a wicked glint in your eye.
He grins. “I would have very much liked to play with you.” And he’d undoubtedly have grown up with the hugest crush on you.
“I think you could have handled me,” you say flirtatiously, which sends a shock of desire through his system. And makes him titter like an absolute fool. Why can’t he just be chill?
But you giggle again, seemingly finding it endearing.
Javi scrambles for something to say and somehow ends up with the very lame question of, “Soup?”
“Please.”
His fingers brush yours as he passes you the thermos of cold tomato soup and a spoon. Both of you allow the touch to linger, smiling into each other’s eyes.
When amber threads throughout your irises, he’s briefly worried he’s done something to upset you, but everything about you exudes enjoyment. The color change must happen from more than just negative emotions.
After a few more breaths, you break the contact to begin eating the soup, although you do scoot closer to him on the blanket.
The rest of the meal passes blissfully, the two of you enjoying easy conversation and laughing a ridiculous amount. It’s like you’ve known each other forever.
When it’s time for you to head home so you can pick up the triplets from school, you and Javi pack up. “Is this a good beach to find sea glass?” you ask.
“When the tide is low, yes,” he smiles. “Usually best early in the morning.”
“Some weekend, I’ll bring the kids down. They love to play in the surf and hunt for treasures. Maybe you could join us?”
The invitation combined with your hopeful tone tells Javi that you found the date as successful as he did. He beams. “I would love nothing more.”
You reward him with that breathtaking smile.
At one point on the drive home, you ask, “Do you know of any AirBnBs out in the forest? With fewer or no people around?”
He has a feeling this has to do with your lycanthropy, but he needs more information to make a good recommendation. “Could you tell me what it’s for?”
You sigh, fingers twisting in your lap. He’s noticing that you have a threshold for what’s comfortable for you to discuss with it. But you do answer, “I really need to teach the children how to hunt this full moon. They really should have learned months ago. But I need a safe place where we won’t be seen by humans and where there are some rabbits or other small creatures.”
Javi smiles. “I have just the place. I own a safe house off my compound, surrounded by untouched woods. You and the niños are welcome to it.”
Stress leaving you again, you smile gratefully. “I’d really appreciate that. I can pay—
He breaks in with a chuckle, “Don’t be silly. You’re doing me a favor by putting it to use.”
“I’ll need it for three nights: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Is that all right?”
“Of course!” Javi desperately wants to ask if he can come and see the Wolves—especially your Wolf—but he manages to hold his tongue. The fastest way to push you away is to stick his nose where he’s not welcome.
When he parks in front of your apartment building, he turns to you with a smile, but then sees your expression is very serious. “What is it?”
“I had the best time this afternoon,” you say, almost as if you’re sad about it. “I like you a lot. But, as much as it feels like I’m just a kid in high school, I’m not. And, maybe if we’d met under other circumstances, this could go differently.”
Javi’s stomach is suddenly churning. You’re ending things, he knows it. What had changed from when you’d offered to bring him to the beach with the kiddos? Had he said or done something wrong?
You inhale shakily before continuing, “If you decide you want to be with me, it means being with my children, too. As well as being sucked into the secret world of lycanthropy. Not to mention, you’re the first man I’ve wanted to be with since Ivan, and, even though I can promise you are not a placeholder and I want to be with you, I still feel grief.” You shrug, eyes misty. “My life is really fucking messy.”
Relief fills Javi as he realizes you’re not breaking it off. He gently takes your hands in his. “I’m not afraid of mess. I’ve got plenty of my own. And there will probably be a lot more for both of us in the future. But I’m here for it if you are.”
You immediately look heartened. “I am, yeah.” Your fingers squeeze his lightly. “Hey, if you want, you could spend some time with us while we’re at the safe house? I mean, once the moon has risen, none of us will be able to talk, but we can still communicate better than dogs.”
He gasps excitedly. “I will be there!”
You smile happily. Then, you somber slightly again, “Right now, as far as the kids go, I’d like to wait to tell them about our romantic relationship. Give us time to make sure we work.”
“Of course, whatever you feel is best for them.”
“Keep making friends with them, though. It’s good for them to have another man in their lives.” Linking your fingers with his, you smile. “I’ll be telling them that you know about the lycanthropy today. It won’t make sense for us to spend the full moon with you otherwise.”
Javi knows what a major sign of trust all of this is for you and he’s determined not to do anything to risk it.
A light frown creases your brow. “There aren’t any cameras at the safe house or that property, are there?”
“Oh, no, no,” he reassures. “And the only other person who knows about it is my head of security, who won’t be there. It’ll be totally private.”
You relax. “That’s perfect.”
“Text me with anything I can provide that’ll make it more comfortable. And… since I’ll be seeing you then, I guess we can make plans for another date at that time?”
Face lighting up, you nod. “I’d love that.”
Javi strokes your cheek, eyes on your lips. “Would it be all right if I kissed you?”
“Very,” you breathe, leaning closer.
He closes the distance between you and him. Your lips are soft and warm. At first, there’s a tentativeness for you both, but, as you melt into him, he deepens the kiss. You respond in kind.
His whole body is on fire, but he forces himself to pull back after a minute. Your eyes are golden again, sending a thrill through him. He made that happen!
“Thanks for the wonderful date, Javi. I’ll talk to you later.” You open the passenger’s door before he can move to do it for you. With a wink that makes him feel weak, you zip across the street to the apartment.
Holy shit, he’s going to be in love by the weekend, he just knows it.
Unable to focus on work or anything else besides you and the triplets, Javi spends the rest of the afternoon brainstorming ways to make the safe house cozier. At the moment, it’s the bare minimum of comfort, mostly there in case he receives a threat on his life.
Sitting in the grand room on the sofa next to Marci’s fish tank, he uses her to bounce ideas off of. “Fresh sheets, blankets, food, games, toys…” He scribbles each item on a list. “Coloring books and crayons. Wait, are they too old for crayons?”
He hums, watching her some pebbles from one side of the bottom to the other.
Grabbing his phone, he googles: ‘Do 8-year-olds like crayons?’ It’s way too embarrassing to ask you something that should be so obvious. He knows how to interact well with kids, but age-appropriate toys aren’t his forte.
His head of security, Placido, walks into the room and stops in front of him, hands clasping behind his back. “You wanted to see me, boss?” he asks in Spanish.
Javi looks up with a smile. “Yes. Tomorrow, could you spare the time to help me freshen up the safe house? My girlfriend and her children will be staying there Wednesday through Friday night.” It feels so amazing to say ‘girlfriend.’
Looking pleased, Placido says, “I’m delighted to hear that things are going so well with her.” His smile fades. “Is there a reason they’re staying in the safe house instead of here? Is something wrong?”
Not even his most trusted employee can find out your secret, so Javi shares the simple lie he’s come up with, “It’s for a school project for the kids. They need to observe the stars for a few nights. No better place than there.”
For a moment, Placido’s expression is so strange Javi’s not sure he believes him. But then he smiles slightly with a nod. “Of course. I’ll help you arrange everything for them tomorrow.”
“Thanks.” Then, he asks, “What age did your kids outgrow crayons?”
“It depended on the kid. But if you’re looking to get art supplies, I’d have crayons, washable markers, and colored pencils available.”
Javi quickly jots those things down. “What would I do without you, Placido?”
