Welcome to Bottomless Heights, where things are not always as they seem...

I thoroughly enjoyed creating these 10 custom resin pins for the players in the Bottomless Heights Toonkind campaign. It was my first time creating pins like these; I learned a lot from the process and I am excited to share them with the world!

A huge thank you to everyone involved in the campaign, even if you didn't get a pin. I can't wait to create this story with you, it's going to be a journey to remember.

3D models created from the SVG versions I made from tracing the original symbol designs (which were not designed by me).

I printed a prototype on my regular printer (about a 12 min print, super quick) to test for size and stability.

Then I put the models in my slicing software for my resin printer and began prepping them to print! I chose resin for a nicer finish, durability, and so I wouldn't have to worry about not sanding in the cracks, since that's almost impossible.

The prints on the bed right after printing and after cleaning in an alcohol bath.

UV light to cure the resin completely.

Sanding. For hours. But worth it!

I hot glue them to toothpicks where I'll be attaching the pin backs and place them in my painting board (which is just an old piece of wood with holes in it). Then I give them a nice few coats of black enamel.

Finally, I give them a nice coating of antique gold Rub 'n Buff (a nice wax finish) and use two part epoxy to glue on the pin backs.

And there you have it! Simple, 3D printed, metallic resin pins. I am in no way an expert and most of this was just me using my combined cosplay fabrication knowledge to whip these out, but I'm still happy with the result and I look forward to making more like this in the future!

Quizás aparte de estar basada en hechos reales , o sea la humillación de la empresa del Óvalo ante los Caballos rampantes, que ya,se venían quedando con los títulos de la competencia Lemans, por tres años consecutivos, veremos una gran producción, muy atrapante con grandes actuaciónes. Ya para empezar esta proyección cuenta con un cast ,que no puede fallar, Carroll Shelby, Matt Demon, Cristian Bale, Ken Miles y un gran elenco aportando la brillantes, de este film, con un exelente montaje, guión, ambientación y a la vez lograr esa sensación de correr dentro del habitaculo, y participar cómo un acompañante del piloto, auque no sepas nada de carreras, acá hay historia y bien contada por el Director, James Manglod. Por una fuente, los directivos de Ford, se enteran que Ferrari está en quiebra, ofreciéndole, un trato millonario, para comprar su empresa en forma total ,sin participación alguna , ofendiendo a Enzo Ferrari, dandole un mensaje, a Jhon Ford segundo,que también queda resentido, y obliga a sus directivos, a construir un coche de carreras,para competir en Lemans, cueste lo que cueste. Ken Shelby, retirado de las pistas, pero no de las carreras, junto a su piloto y amigo, Ken Miles, serán los elegidos, e intrépidos ,para lograr esa hazaña, ese milagro Yanqui, con el Europeo. Pero no es solo la competencia, acá veremos el lado b, de los malditos corporativos, capitalistas, que harán todo lo posible, para que el piloto de Shelby, no corra, cómo un acto de marginación y negocios, más que competir. Ante todas las adversidades, y lucha por quién la tiene más grande, se demuestra las verdades, en dónde tiene que ser,El la Pista. Conclusión: Ford vs Ferrari, aparte de haber sido nominada al Oscar ,con pura justificación, nos muestra la historia autobiográfica que pasó y como, a manera ficcional, fue la lucha afuera y adentro de la pista.
