louis choi bleaches his hair after school with drugstore dye, dishwashing gloves, and a death wish. the death wish is courtesy of his parents, who come home to a brassy-haired lou and lecture him for the whole night. oh my god, you look terrible. (thanks, mom!) that stuff’s full of dangerous chemicals and you did it in our bathroom?
