you might think no one will miss your ancient anime fic if you delete it of ffn, but just remember that if enough of you do so, someone's gonna make note of the number gone on a private spreadsheet somewhere.

#(that someone is me. i'm keeping track. idk what fics exactly are being deleted but i know how many) #now that it's been A Little While(tm) i'm finally seeing some trends poke out w/the data i've been.. harvesting... manually #n more fandoms than i expected are actually bleeding fics out of the ones i'm tracking! #(fandoms tracked are naruto/fma/soul eater/hetalia/snk/bnha/genshin and more recently spn has been added to the sheet) #nart fma se & hetalia are all having fics deleted faster than new ones are being posted to ffn; tho all have an inc on ao3 #it's most noticeable w/hetalia which has had its number on the anime listings page slowly declining for quite a while now #and THE FANDOM LISTINGS PAGES ON FFN ARE BIG FAT LIES BTW. THEY LIST UP TO A FEW THOUSAND MORE FICS THAN CAN BE ACCESSED/ARE LISTED #'why are you doing this?' i like to have empirical proof of the decline of ffn; tho originally it was to see when animanga fandoms #jumped from ffn to ao3 since i know that historically that happened later than w/western fandoms #花話 #i'd take wattpad stats but. that's hard.
