One of my favourite threads/drabbles/etc:

This thread from Game Of Diplomacy AU* remains to be one of my favourite things I've ever written. It has a high stakes power struggle with tension you can cut with a knife, it has angst and conflict with counterbalancing moments of levity, it is deliciously dark and the clever verbal sparring challenged me in a really refreshing way, keeping me on my toes. I think it contains some of my best writing to date.

*This AU gained a surprisingly big following - it even has its own fanart! Years later my writing partner and I still get occasional asks about it/people still go on like sprees through the threads, which is really sweet. I am forever mindblown and deeply touched that so many people have enjoyed this random niche rarepair story my partner and I wrote for fun.

I'm also very proud of this Arcane rp thread, which sparked off a whole AU that my writing partner and I are still actively developing and enjoying two years later.

A writing partner (or partners!) I've enjoyed writing with: shoutout to @f1shbonez for writing with me for ten years, across four different platforms and over 12 different fandoms. You are the best damn writing partner I've ever had, a true unicorn, a plotting genius, a master wordsmith with razor wit - I have grown so much a writer and as a person because of you. We have created so many incredible stories together that I cherish and reread to this day, and I look forward to all the new stories we will create together 💜

what’s on your writing wish list? what’s off limits?

[ old munday meme || @spikyhairedsilhouette ] Ooh golly, I feel like my writing wishlist could be endless if I thought about it long enough. I think nowadays I only have enough time and mental energy to keep up with oneshots, and I can think of a few that would be fun to flesh out. I'd really like to try my hand at some proper horror -- there's so much potential in Kimi to make her into a real monster. I want to see her actually lure men to their deaths and pick her teeth clean with their bones. I'd also love to get to a resolution for Kimi regarding her father and all the build-up of tension surrounding that. Put a damn gun in this woman's hands for gods sake, she needs to get some proper justice and Akio's blood on her hands. But perhaps that's just an excuse to write more of Akio, I love me an unhinged male antagonist. Also, I mean it when I say that I'm still thinking about that thread idea where Spiky takes Kimi out into the Nara forest. I love the idea of them discovering how to navigate this awkward dance of intimacy in contrast to their usual inferno-style trysts. I want to see more of how their relationship to one another truly takes root and develops; especially the awkward hiccups as they both try to traverse their difficulties with being emotionally vulnerable. I think that brings me to my larger point: everything that was once discussed, plotted, or merely dreamed up between old RP partners and I is still very much on my mind. It's a strong contributor to why I came back to the RP community again. Some threads/stories will be forever unfinished and sometimes I struggle to accept that, but in some cases old friends/writing partners are really gone. In other cases you get blessed to have them come back & still be interested in your disaster of a muse. As for what's off limits for me -- honestly, little to nothing. Throw anything at me; if something feels uncomfortable or difficult to write, I think in some ways that's a sign for an opportunity to grow.

Danny I feel like gets put into the same box a lot of villains that are just a tiny bit goofy get shoved into where he's treated like he's stupid, incompetent, overly friendly towards people he shouldn't (like survivors), etc. etc. And don't get me wrong, I love dumb memes and funny posts, but it really rubs me the wrong way when it's dragged into serious writing. He is a man that are bare minimum that we know of has killed at least 30 people without being caught. That isn't something that cute or funny or sweet, that is horrific.

He is not a nice person, he is far from a good person and no matter how much people try to baby him because his dad groomed him into being that way he will forever be a monster who destroys lives and communities for the fun of it. To him it's just another story, but to the families he is a man who took away their world. Imagine the parents he's killed? What are those kids going to do?

It's just an issue I see constantly whenever I go into his tag or any other s.lasher tag for that matter. People try to bend these characters to be the ideal partner for them and it's super weird to me. Especially when it's people being like "oh well ghosty mains in game are goofy and fun so that means he's just like that in lore".

I honestly don't have an issues with League lore when it comes to him, I really enjoy the way he's written and the way you have to pick out what he's lying about and what he isn't by reading Jayce's lore and stories too. That being said:

Arcane I love as a series, but I wish it would've let Viktor have the ideals he does have in League I think it would've helped with the way the fan base of it really tries to baby him and treat him like he's a poor innocent baby that can't do anything on his own. But I can't really say too much until we do get to the point where he does become the herald and the falling out between him and Jayce.

I honestly am dying to know what exactly what happened between him and Vittorio, because they went from Italy, to Spain and all the way to Portugal on horse back where u have to follow water ways because horses need a lot of water, so they were around each other for probably 6 months minimum and in that time they went from being fine to Tarhos fucking despising him and everything he stands for because he's asked to find another way. I don't know sounds like bitter exes to me-

✍ Has new canon material ever forced you to adjust your headcanons? <- Legion

Oh definitely. The legion are already so inconsistent in lore that with every new cosmetic flavor text I feel like I have to alter something. Like before I knew tomes existed I thought it was only Frank who was murderous, because that's how it's framed, but in their tome as funny as it is a lot of hat they did was Julie's idea. She came up with the idea, named them, even suggested they break into Joey's work which got them to murder that janitor and even flat out asks Frank if he thinks he could kill someone and isn't happy with his answer when he says no.

I feel like wit hthe comics coming out soon (I have mine pre-ordered 👀) it'll make me at least have to pick and choose what I consider cannon like I already have to with their lore anyway, because again it's so inconsistent. You literally have cosmetics calling Susie a sophomore, but the devs saying they're all 18-21. It's that inconsistent.

Because we talked about it on discord: Yijun would ABSOLUTELY sell alpha male courses, he doesn't believe a single fucking word the sells, but oh my god if it doesn't get him attention and make him money. The demon knows what he want you can't fault him for that.

Cause like… honestly? If I follow you in the first place, it means I’m interested in you and your account! You’ve passed the initial vibe test and by combing your rules and posts, you seem cool! So the obvious super gross reasons to block, like racism, sexism, untagged triggers, etc. aren’t going to be as much of an issue as it would be with randos, cause I won’t follow someone who I’ve seen or thought was iffy enough to get on with that in the first place!

Though admittedly I HAVE gotten jumpscared once or twice by a person doing a complete 180 after I follow them by posting some genuinely disgusting stuff like the aforementioned ‘no female muses allowed, I’m only here for men,’ or a ‘yeah, we do incest here,’ WHICH NEEDLESS TO SAY WAS INSTANT UNFOLLOW & BLOCK WORTHY but I digress!

Other than the obvious examples like the above, my instant unfollow requirements are kind of a long time coming type thing! I won’t unfollow if you make a single mistake or post something I personally don’t vibe with but isn’t harmful and destructive. But my unfollows more so come from the attitude of the folks running the blog!

If a person comes off as mean, very exclusive, unwelcoming, etc. doesn’t send memes, doesn’t engage with people, doesn’t talk or message or follow back. I really don’t have it in me to keep chasing after them and trying to be friends. I’m not an unlimited vessel of energy and happiness! I'm not sure if it was a fad/trend or just a thing some people did because they liked it, but I've never liked the deepfried icons. Some are fine, but when it gets to the point where I can't tell if the person in the icon is, say, Jeffrey Dean Morgan or an exploded meat ravioli, it's too much editing. The way I see it, people use icons to add a visual to their reply, be it the expression on their character's face or whatever. So, if I can't even tell what's supposed to be happening in the icon, it feels like the reply could have just been done without it.

✖ How has Tumblr RP changed since you started?

For the better, thank God. I remember when I started and people would not only not crop their threads, but they also wouldn't use read mores and they'd actually seemingly compete and brag about who had the longest thread going, which led to literal MINUTES spent trying to scroll part a single post, both in the dash of you followed them, and on the tags if you didn't. It was HELL.

♒ Thoughts on the fandom you're currently rping in?

It's fun! I love my little corner and the people I've gotten to interact with and befriend. It's a breath of fresh air from fandoms I've previously been in, where multiple of my muses' tags would be filled with "anti-muse" posts that I couldn't blacklist because the people posting them just refused to use the anti tags.

6. - OTP for your muse?

Local highly emotionally unstable hotties in your area, looking for love? More likely than you think! Here he is, nuttier than a five-­pound fruitcake. Don't you just adore the idea of being the apple of his eye?

Anyway.

Despite the catastrophic pain in the ass that romancing mr. rosehearts would be, I adore shipping. I have so many ships that I like, and even the ones that I don't list here are definitely things I'd be willing to try out! But everything I list is probably going to consist of my favorites ( in no particular order; I adore them all ).

Now. To begin with, seeing as though I just did all of those romance hcs, it's only fitting that I lay out the people who I think would fit the description of his desires for things like intellectual stimulation, deep thought put into romantic gestures, and a general ability to keep up with his thirst for knowledge and his tendencies towards constantly rattling said knowledge off aloud. For these things I could picture Malleus, Jade, Azul, Jamil, or Vil. All of them are very smart, and all of them have canonically fine relationships with Riddle which is an important starting point for him. All of them also have plenty they could offer him by way of teaching him things he doesn't know, which would be huge for him, and all of them are clever enough in their own ways to disarm him if he catapults into an episode and starts raging. Yet another point.

AS FOR OTHER SHIPS I REALLY LIKE AND THINK COULD WORK IF GONE ABOUT IN THE RIGHT WAY, there's Rook, Leona, and Floyd. With Leona, obviously they have a lot in common in terms of their backstories, and Riddle was able to actually witness his Overblot firsthand and learn about a lot of these things. We also have a lot of canonical evidence of them having a good relationship and generally caring for each other, so again - good place to start off from. Leona is also smart but the problem with them is that they'd clash a lot - if Leona decides to poke at Riddle for entertainment purposes, things could become a disaster. I also think if he's too lazy, Riddle could quickly lose patience. However, build them up slowly and let them fall into a dynamic that works well enough and it could definitely happen!! With Rook, Riddle already looks up to him and appreciates him, but I think his antics and noncommittal nature at times might drive him up the wall a little bit. Again, with him it depends - there's definitely potential there, and a lot Rook can offer him by way of teaching him and opening the doors to a new perspective on the world.

Finally we have Floyd. I probably don't need to explain it, but here it comes regardless. He's off his rocker, Riddle is off his rocker, they'd be constantly bickering. However. Floyd could be extremely good for Riddle because he's so partial to games and entertainment, is pushy and doesn't listen, and can't bring himself to obey any set rules no matter what. It's very important to note, that behavior is something that Riddle would only be able to put up with because it's from Floyd. Anyone else would be written off at once, but as we see in canon material, Floyd is constantly trying to goad Riddle into stepping away from whatever he's studying or whatever bad mood he's in so that they can do something 'fun'. I think that would be extremely healthy for Riddle, to be in a relationship where he can be pulled away from his own obsessive compulsive rituals no matter what they are. I think Floyd also has an uncanny ability to say something really profound every so often out of nowhere, and it lands exactly the way he wants it to as evidenced in the anthology manga. That part of him would definitely provide good reason for Riddle to fall for him. Finally, I think their bickering and Floyd's unceasing attempts to bother him would provide intellectual stimulation for Riddle in a way - perhaps not the way he'd usually like, but it would keep him on his toes nonetheless, which is saying something.

Also! As an extra, I think Floyd, like Rook, has the ability to show Riddle a new perspective on the world and drag him out into it if he decided he felt like it, so that's a plus.

To sum all of this up, like I said before, I can get into pretty much any ship - these are just some of the ones I've roleplayed before or consumed content for and happen to really like. But believe me, with good chemistry and enough interaction, there's little I won't ship haha!

(( i actually love it - i think my biggest complaint would be that i wish there were more mgs rpers around - i think because the series has been over for so long, they're just aren't many peeps willing to write it but fandom wise - i like the fandom. everyone seems happy and fun; there's a lot of headcanons and games, everyone seems to be having fun.

i just wish there were more writers (owo) - i'd love to have more of an excuse to play future kaz or even crossovers. having him interact with people like otacon or w/e would be really awesome! generally, the fandom seems very sweet & nice. c: ))

— uh hell yeah i would! i mean some i would be terrified to be around but like shen? shen would be my bestie, we would be friends with benefits for sure lmfaooo just saying! i am actual simp for shen! but no seriously, i would for sure be friends with all of my muses, maybe some more than others but i definitely would!

13. what’s one random headcanon about your muse(s) that people mightn’t know?:

— i um dont think i have any headconons that i haven’t told or put out in public but. i can say that shen is best friends with velvet velour herself! i’ve stated it before but idk if many know that. velvet velour is a character off vtmb, she’s the owner of the strip club vesuvius, the place where shen works at! also roy actually liked his lovers wife, and he really did not want to kill her but. he wanted the husband all to himself, and growing up having everything handed to him affected his thought process here. he acted on impulse and only cared about himself in the end. but he did love her, he is just possessive and controlling, and that urge to get what he wants is HUGE!

 22. short, medium, or long threads?:

— i honestly like all! short is nice because i can get to it quickly, but at the same time medium and long threads are much more fun to reply to as i can kinda go haywire with the amount of detail i want to throw in! but it just takes me awhile cause my brain does not like to cooperate with me at times. atm i have like 15 or 14 drafts i need to reply too and most of them are long threads! aggh! im doing my best guys, i promise!

4. Favourite thing about roleplaying?

Practicing my character portrayal. I work really hard to get the voices straightened out in my head so that when I'm writing a piece of dialogue, you can hear them when you read it. All of my muses share the "he" pronoun but you shouldn't be left guessing which "he" I refer to when I'm writing their dialogue.

5. Least favourite thing about roleplaying?

<sigh> Toxicity in the community. I realize this constitutes a minority, and a very small fraction of participants at that, but I've had the misfortune of running into a few who have been terribly disrespectful, pushy, and even flat-out insulting to their fellow RPers. I have no stomach for that. I'm here to disengage from reality and have some fun, not to engage in middle-school level dramatics (unless it's dramatics my partner and I have chosen to write for ourselves).

6. OTP for your muse?

Well, I've got seven muses, lol, but assuming you'd like to know my OTPs for all of them? Sure, I'll try it out. Be aware, too, that not all of my OTPs are necessarily in relation to RP interactions. With that said...

Beta Ray Bill -- Up until the publication of Argent Star, I would have immediately said Lady Sif. But I was so disappointed with her reaction to the notion of intimacy with him in his true form (augmentations, enhancements, equine face) that I've begun to reconsider that ship. Here on Tumblr, though, Bill found a curious kinship with the Olympian goddess Persephone, courtesy of the extraordinary @titansaints [check them out!] which quickly became a lovely, fluffy ship that I've thoroughly enjoyed.

Phil Coulson -- Two OTPs for this man, I gotta be honest. The first is with Melinda May, because do I even need to say why? But the second is here on Tumblr, with the illustrious Dejah Thoris of John Carter of Mars lore, provided by the talented @voice-of-barsoom [check them out too!]. It's a pairing I would never have thought of on my own and I stan it.

Groot -- Not really applicable in a canon context, for obvious reasons, but here on Tumblr, this one goes to Beth Riley, lovingly provided by the inimitable @brooklynislandgirl [if you're not checking them out, why not?!]. This is a ship that sails right down the center of platonic and romantic seas, and is stunningly soft... and really, I honestly do believe only Beth can adore Groot in the specific way she does. It is a testament to this fabulous writer.

Spider-Man (Peter Parker) -- Gotta toss this to MJ, out of recognition for her dedication. In most canon iterations of her, she's stuck with Pete through thick and thin, no matter what curve balls his life as Spider-Man has thrown their way, up to and including home invasion, abduction, mutation, and even death. If there's a runner-up, it's Gwen... because let's face it. If Gwen had survived, it would have been her. I don't currently have any Tumblr-based threads which ship Peter with anyone. (Yet.)

Stephen Strange -- Nnnnnngh. Okay, I'm going to out myself here, I know precious little about Stephen from the comics, so although I'm intellectually aware of his relationship with (and marriage to) Clea, I've not familiarized myself with those dynamics and nuances (but I'm interested to see what she brings to the MCU). I refuse to say Christine Palmer, I just never sensed any sparks there. Regarding RP, one of my favorite Stephen ships here on Tumblr is also probably my first one on this profile, with Sigyn Freyjadottr, as portrayed by @sigynthevictorious [yes, I'm reccing them too, deal with it!]. A true enemies-to-friends tale that really went the distance in the telling!

Venom (Eddie Brock) -- NOT Eddie / his Other. That's both obvious and low-hanging fruit. And to be honest, I think we've yet to see what a really good relationship for him in canon would be. However, here on Tumblr, there is absolutely no question at all, and this ship is my ultimate favorite OTP out of all the ones I'm listing for this question... this goes also to Beth Riley @brooklynislandgirl , who has generously worked with me to create an absolutely sprawling multiversal saga with our muses at its heart. BEddie for life.

Vision -- Okay, do you really expect me to say anybody but Wanda? Whether in canon or via Tumblr RP alongside the illustrious @illbringthechaosmagic , there's really just one woman for Vis at the end of the day, and it's Wanda Maximoff.

This answer will be far shorter, because the honest truth is, my muses tend to be pretty open-minded about relationships -- though as listed in my Rules segment, with the exception of Groot, they're all hetero males. That being said, even restricting themselves to women, these boys can get themselves in tons of trouble for the sake of a ship (and frequently do!). It's never characters I'm averse to shipping with... just situations, and a couple very specific members of this community.

15. What do you look for in an RP partner?

Primarily, someone who is decently literate and not afraid to write more than a smattering of words per tag. I'm not terribly picky about length beyond that... give me at least one paragraph. Or give me a novel. Either way, I'll run with it. What you give tends to be what you'll get in return.

16. Favourite trope?

<scratches the back of his neck> Damn it, you caught me, I'm a total sap. I really like that trope of when two characters share that revelation that they've got feelings for each other. It's been building up between them for an embarrassingly long time, and they just can't hold it in anymore. But this comes with a caveat... to be truly satisfying, I need the buildup. I need it to be sold to me.

17. Least favourite trope?

Betrayal whose flags were completely visible but entirely ignored. It kinda pulls me out of the story when I can see the turn of a coat coming from miles away and the characters can't pick up on it to save their own lives (sometimes literally).

18. Are there any AU's you'd like to explore but haven't had the chance to yet?

I have an AU concept which involves Hydra being successful in taking SHIELD down, except for Coulson, who assumes an offshoot Ghost Rider persona and seeks vengeance. I've also had a half-formed idea rattling around wherein all of my muses randomly exchange roles (Spider-Bill; Groot, Agent of SHIELD; Vision, Guardian of the Galaxy). As for universal shifts, I've been fleshing out some concepts for my spread of muses to all take up residence in the Star Wars universe (Venom is a shapeshifting spy, Stephen and Spidey are Force sensitives in exile, Coulson is an ex-diplomat turned crime lord... it's a whole thing). It's also kind of fun to imagine them all within the context of D&D (and I still have at least one request in my Inbox asking me to write a drabble of one of my muses in the realm of Dragonlance). What would happen to them in the world of Pokémon? Would they all be trainers? Y'know. Fun stuff. So the short answer is yes, there are... and I'm open to discussing them!

21. Are there certain characters that you gravitate towards?

Yes, but probably not the ones you'd think. My top three favorite characters in this spread of muses are Beta Ray Bill, Venom, and Coulson, in that order. Stephen and Spidey are present among this spread for several reasons, but among them is the fact they're mainstream and tend to attract eyes (and Follows) in a way my three favorites simply can't. Bill is obscure, Coulson is niche, and not everybody wants to interact with Eddie / his Other / Venom (or that pedantic distinction I insist upon making).

23. Do you ever get jealous when RPing? How do you handle this?

Oh jeez, calling me out, this is embarrassing... Okay, the honest truth? Yeah, I do occasionally get jealous, and that's not a good color on me. My method of dealing with it is remembering we're all doing this for fun, and we all chase the dopamine, wherever that chase leads. It doesn't always lead my mutuals towards me or the threads I'd like to work on, and that... really is okay. My own dopamine chases don't always lead me in the direction I know some of my mutuals would hope for either, and they're all incredibly gracious towards me about it. That's why I have multiple threads with multiple mutuals. At any given time, I have a ton of ideas and threads I can work on... and if a character I want to write for is lacking love, I can fairly easily find someone who'd be interested in threading. And even if my luck ran out... I've written a LOT of fanfiction over the years. I can write on my own, too! (If I ever get past the crippling anxiety and perfectionism.)

This is something that happened a while ago and something I’ve kept to myself, barring telling some friends about it.  I always did want to say something about this but I never knew how and I had a lot of feelings to work through, but I think I’m ready now.

Some years ago, there was a mun I really looked up to - I would have even considered them my best friend at one point, we hung out almost every night, we called, we streamed - I admired them absolutely and adored them and when we made an RP server together, it felt like a perfect fit - even now I strive to make every subsequent server feel as engaging and fun as the one that I had with them.  I believed in them and looked up to them.  Then things changed.

In this server of ours, we had an AU in which we both took on multiple muses - no big deal, it was a fun back and forth, good chance to flex some muses I’d wanted to try.  Shipping had always come easily to us so when I suggested a ship with two M/M muses, they seemed to agree to that - we both said we’d wait and see, but ships always seemed to come easily to us, shipping felt natural, comfortable.

Some time after this, we had a voice call to plot and to talk - mostly about the AU but the ship did come up, details like how they would get to know each other and so on.  I noticed on their side, they seemed a lot more quiet, unwilling to put forth any ideas and that gave me a nervous feeling, so I asked them if they still wanted to write this ship, if they were truly sure, that we could stop it here and now and I would have no hard feelings.  They told me no, they didn’t want to - they were tired, they were having an off night.  I still had an off feeling but they were my friend, I wanted to believe them.

On a slight side note, we both had a close mutual friend we liked to do group things with - I learned how to do Photoshop with these two muns, we had a group chat where we’d get all hyped about anime and figures and plushies.  I trust this other friend absolutely and they were as close to them - if not even closer than I was and when I was explaining to them how I had felt off and what happened earlier, they told me something surprising.

They told me that this other friend actually had no intention of writing this M/M ship with me - that this friend had actually told them that the only reason that they were doing this was to prove to me why they wouldn’t work as a ship.  Again, I trust this friend absolutely and know for a fact that those two were close and shared a lot together - I have no reason to doubt them or to think they were lying.  I truly believe that they were being a good friend and telling me about something messed up and for that, I will always be thankful.

I will admit, I did lose my chill about this - not just about the ship, but about the fact that a good friend couldn’t come to me and tell me this.  Why they felt the need to lie to me and to string me along, only to have something else in mind.  Why they even had to ‘prove’ anything to me to begin with - I honestly don’t care about being right or being wrong, if I’m proven wrong, I will be the first person to admit to that and own up to it.  Being lied to in such a way and for such a stupid reason really did make me lose my chill - it caused me to question everything I thought I knew about this person, about our RP’s, about our friendship.  Worst of all, it left me with a lingering skepticism that I still sometimes get when talking about ships - I don’t want to paint everyone with the same brush and I try to tell myself that most people would be honest and not lie about a ship, but I have moments where I just wonder and I hate that I do, because I want to just trust people and take what they say at face value.

Admittedly, I could have offered to drop the ship - which I later did, but in this case, I genuinely feel that I did what I could - I asked them if they were sure, offered to drop it without any hard feelings attached and didn’t pressure or push them into it.  I was hurt by a good friend and a great mun for what I consider a stupid and a petty reason and that is one big reason I have lost my chill.

Needless to say, they’re not a friend anymore.

Favourite thing about roleplaying?

I love that we get to make silly little stories. I love that we get to expand on ideas beyond the source material. I love that we just get to make shit up. It's fun.

Least favourite thing about roleplaying?

Idk, the politics of it I guess. And I don't mean actual politics but rather how the rules (written and unwritten) of how we manage ourselves within a community seem to change with the seasons. Icons are in! Icons are out! Big icons are bad! Small icons are bad! Promos are a waste of time! No, actually you should do promos! No one will judge you for posting nsfw on main! Ew, are you posting nsfw on main?? I love it when people randomly post into my inbox! You shouldn't randomly post into people's inbox! Its okay to send someone something if they didn't send you one! Actually no it isnt!

It's so back and forth and some of it is just so asinine like, why can't we just enjoy ourselves in a way that's most comfortable for the individual and not have that effect how we get interactions.

Would you write with duplicate characters? How do you think your muse would react?

Well, lmao, if we're running into a duplicate Miki, we have an innate problem.

If we're talking canon charas, I'm kind of on the fence. I'll follow duplicates because I enjoy other's interpretations and don't tend to get insecure about my portrayals over someone else's, but I don't think I'd write with them. I don't really get all that excited about doppelganger scenarios. Like it'd be funny at first but I think it would get old and kind of boring quickly. Maybe I'm just not creative enough and haven't thought of exciting plots that involve two of the same character lol.

Joke-wise? Yes, she wants me to let her be a super-awesome, full-blooded, Time-Hero Saiyan. She doesn't get that self acceptance is important and she has to earn it with hard work first!

In a more serious manner, sometimes I can feel Mariko "craving" for a connection with a character I am writing her with. It doesn't need to be romantic, but when the thread is engaging and the writing is good, it's really hard to not feel a sort of "call", and sometimes imagination runs in my head ahead of the thread unfolding on its own. I never let it overtake the writing, if anything I share my ideas with the other mun or ignore it and just sit and see what happens. But Mariko is a passionate, emotional, sensitive character, she literally can't be written as impartial or indifferent if all the elements listed above are happening.

🍌 - What drew you into the fandom in the first place?

No, okay, I had a massive crush on him as a kid when I started watching the show, but I started watching it ever since it first aired in my country, so I just... Followed it and liked it!

Later on however, it was thanks to my friend @icecreamhotelpatrol with whom I shared a few other interests with. She got Xenoverse way before I did, I drew her character as a gift and she talked me more about the videogame. It sounded fun, I did like Dragon Ball after all, so I decided to spoil myself and get it, and that's how I re-discovered my passion for it. I first wrote Mariko as a DBX1 Time Hero in a fanfiction with her, and boy am I fond of that, I think it really helped me developing my writing style. Plus, I literally loved the story and the characters in it. Then she mentioned the DB roleplaying community, specifically @nappainanotherdimension blog, and that was what inspired me to try to join it. However, the old Mariko couldn't work in this setting, she was too deply rooted in her story and I was kinda jealous/protective of her original version as it really meant a lot to me, it felt too personal. So I was like "what if Mariko wasn't a Hero, but a Hero-wannabe? What if she didn't fear her Saiyan side, but craved for it?". And since I got DBX2 by then, I thought about making her a Patroller rookie and that's how I ended up here!

1. where did you get your idea for them?

mana: hahaha fun story there xia- mana actually started off as a shitty self-insert in the ace attorney rpc + a ton of teenage angst...that being said, over the years, i think one that has remained with her all throughout is the fact that she supposed to be an ordinary human...like, she has no super special powers or destiny tied to her- she's just an ordinary person who was simply given some of the worst hands in life :'D

lam: so actually lam started out as a character for a short story i did for class before i made him mana's high school history teacher. and then about a year later, i thought 'bruh what if i put all of my high school and college anxieties into a muse and the multiplied that by three?' and that's how lam was initially born. robin as always been a huge part of his story too although how she's been incorportated as changed over time!

3. do you have any npcs you’d like to talk about more?

mana: there are quite a few individuals who i could talk about like all the adult figures in her life and how they've all failed her as a child in one capacity or another...however, that's a depressing topic so maybe i'll go with calum's roommate, irene lee. irene is basically mana's antithesis- when they were in college, she was also friends with daniel ( whom she had a crush on ) and calum and more or less wanted to be friends with mana too. the only problem was that to mana, back when they were in college, irene often came off as well-meaning but tone-deaf. like she meant well....but also often failed to take context into account and would say fairly simplistic/blank statements that ultimately wouldn’t help anyone. this is the main reason that both daniel and calum ultimately were more comfortable with confiding in mana.

lam: answered! but also c*ocaine donald and his friendship with lam?? techncially he was robin’s ex at one point, so i’d have to talk about robin too....anyways i feel like most of his development tends to come spontaneously so i’d like to keep it that way for now ^^

8. what songs remind you of your oc?

mana: strangely enough, music isn’t actually something I associate mana with nearly as much as say, her boyfriend or some of my other ocs....that being said, the ost would be more on the softer, resonant side...lots of fruits basket osts ( i don’t want to blame anyone anymore and i will protect you for example ), pleasure by WARPS UP also comes to mind but that’s also for the entire blogs itself. that being said, mana is technically the muse that this blog’s theme was initially based off of :P that and the finale music for legend of korra- it’s got a somber theme BUT there’s a sense of hope. okay yeah, music that is soft, but there’s an undertone of hope and change to it- that’s the kind of music i associate with mana <3

lam: lam, on the other hand, i used music A LOT as inspiration. in particular, porter robinson. basically if it’s more mellow electronic music, again with an undertone of hope, that’s probably gonna remind me of lam....blasting electronic music is usually his way of coping with the bad moments :/ but for specific examples.... mirror, get your wish, and trying to be alive!!

I never intended to run a multi to be honest. I thought it would be too much to handle, and it kind of is! But I eventually gave up on singlemuse blogs after some issues and realizing half my fandoms are tiny, so I decided to make a multi.

Hmmm... my favorite depends on the day honestly. Recently, though, I have been having a lot of fun writing Gray and Tsurugi! The Servamp rpc is one of my favorites, so it's been a good time there. I also really love the Fairy Tail community.

However, my Owari no Seraph muses are probably my favorite to write.

I think, of all my muses, Joe and Momo would get along well. Joe is very similar to Kaminari, so I think those two would share a similar dynamic.

Having someone who I followed and roleplayed with steal a plot and starter of mine almost word for word to use for their own ship and act like nothing happened.

☀ What's your rp pet peeve?

When my character thinks something/I mention something outside of the dialogue, like what my character is planning to do/something only my character could know about a specific situation, subject or person, and suddenly the other muse knows it and/or mentions it.

♒ Thoughts on the fandom you're currently rping in?

It's fun! I love my little corner and the people I've gotten to interact with and befriend. It's a breath of fresh air from fandoms I've previously been in, where multiple of my muses' tags would be filled with "anti-muse" posts that I couldn't blacklist because the people posting them just refused to use the anti tags.

❣ How salty are you feeling right now?

Not salty at all. At least not roleplay-wise. I'm salty about my neighbors making a lot of noise across the wall and making my dogs bark.

♥ What’s the WORST thing that has happened to you rp wise?

*sighs and stares into space for a moment* My first tumblr rpc was Su.per.natural. I rped the trench coat clad celestial, however, I was not into the main ship for that muse, but a smaller ship with the younger brother of the duo. The amount of hate and threats I got for that. I've never in my life met a fandom so vicious and venomous as that one. It didn't hurt me per se, but after a while it gets annoying and tedious to constantly log in to at least one nasty message. It all went so far that I can't watch that show again, so a small portion of the fandom completely ruined a show I used to love and I might end up being bitter about that for a very long time (I'm trying not to).

☢ What fads/trends are you so over?

First one is all the elitism. Like heavens we're all here to write and have fun. If you absolutely can't write with someone because they don't use fancy icons and five different kinds of editing to their posts, then just... fuck off (from me). Don't get me wrong, if people want to use formatting and fancy graphics etc, they absolutely should, but when that becomes a requirement for interaction, that's when I bristle. Thankfully, this seems to be getting better, at least in the rpc corner where I am.

Second: the instant hate for OCs. That OCs have to hop through some extreme hoops to get interaction. I get wanting a bio, but if it's too short - people complain, if it's too long - tl;dr. Like, it's never good enough. In my experience, some of the best muses I've interacted with are OCs. I've seen just as many bad OCs as bad canon muses (bad imo, obviously).

And third, that female muses has such a harder time. I really don't get why many seem to look down on female muses. It makes no sense to me. Especially "softer" female muses, seem to get the brunt of it and I'm like... don't we need all kinds of muses? Just like society needs different kinds of people too? Idk.

♒ Thoughts on the fandom you’re currently rping in?

I have many thoughts! I'm very new. I created the sideblog version of this account on the 12th of August, so I've not even been here for two months and never have I felt this welcomed anywhere else. I thought that I might never find any other rper within this fandom and if I did that they would be so established in who they rp with that I'd never have a chance. Plus from the posts I saw, many dislike Huaisang a lot, seeing him as evil and "worse than JGY" etc, so I expected dislike and being ignored (especially since the only adaption I've finished yet is the donghua) when what I've received is appreciate and love. Haha I'm blushing as I'm typing this, definitely not used to this. But yeah, I love it here. Thank you so much to all of you who have welcomed me and rped with me and indulged all my ideas and headcanons. I'm looking forward to further interaction as well as interacting with those I haven't done so with yet.
