came into bokura no ameiro protocol expecting it to not be very good, and... yeah it's not very good. characters and set-up aren't terribly interesting to me, but came for kimuryo and will stay for him i suppose lol

if the series actually focuses more on the esports than the interpersonal drama, i think i might like it more. the drama itself is imo just not that compelling

premise is gamer boy quits gaming after Something Happens (implied that he feels at fault for something that left his younger sister disabled) but now the esports cafe he works at is in debt and needs a pro gamer (him) to win an esports tournament for them

the in-game graphics are kinda funky, in a good way! personally i'm actually a fan of how they look more old-school, i wasn't expecting it but do enjoy it

it's just the plot thus far is... almost laughably bad like while trying to convince trauma boy to join their esports team one of the other characters sits him down at a computer like "play a round, if you suck you don't have to join" and ofc trauma boy goes on to dominate while also running into an old in-game friend in the match etc etc

but like he's playing an account he has played in three years?! does this game not have rank decay?! like was he dominating in a match against players who are actually good or had he dropped to bronze and was just crushing it against shitty players

and if the old friend hasn't been inactive for three years how did matchmaking put them in the same match!!

(ok obviously these things don't really matter and i'm just nitpicking but tbh it's not a terribly easy story to get invested in right now)

since it's also an anime original it's hard to say if it'll get better so... time will tell i guess

ohoho i see you're a person of culture as well! <- read the kimuryo part. i will keep quiet about it because my closest friends know i can write an entire book about how much i like his voice www i'm the type to jump into (otome) games no matter how much desinterested i am in them as long as he's part of the cast. on my eternal quest to date all the LIs voiced by him ( •̀ ω •́ )✧

also yuki kaji aaaaa. he's so. his range. his voice is out if this world his screams are too. i've been playing tears of themis ever since release day but i've been falling in and out of it,, but the yuki kaji ft kaito ishikawa combi always manages to pull me back. characters that are really nice but hide a darker side with cv: yuki kaji steal my heart on first sight ehehe <3

i think i'm subscribed to honeyworks in yt even if i don't check it out too often but! i remember seeing the love confession cast all grown up in like a big group pic? and then it hit me how long it's been since the songs released :') time to feel like an old lady! i get that feeling so often lately lol i love watching long series that have a lot of content to them but at the same time,, i can't concentrate for more than half a second and i lose my motivation to watch everything so fast aaa there's a couple of characters i've been interested in for a while so i should. find the wiki and watch some of the songs in order. yup!
