Wow, it's been a while since I've been on this account. Just found an abandoned 2.7k+ word Klance fic of mine that I remember being so hyped for 😅. I'm not sure if I'll ever finish it, but I figured I'd post the general idea here so I can at least say I tried:

Synopsis:

When suffering a traumatic loss, they say there are five stages of grief: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and, finally, Acceptance. However, it’s been nearly three years, and Lance has yet to progress past stage 4.

Or

Lance starts wearing makeup to cover his Altean marks, and Keith discovers a list of dates that he is determined to complete.

Notes:

So my idea for this fic (this was my first ever attempt at writing one) was that Lance tried to accept Allura's death and, for a while, was successful. But isolation from the team at the farm and surrounded by family he loves dearly, but who can never truly understand, becomes a bit too much for our empathetic boy and he just shuts down.

Looking back at this, I'm thinking of continuing it since the passion is still there. The fic is through Keith's POV (unreliable narration and miscommunication here we come) and I already have at least 9 dates planned out on the list Lance wrote while Allura was still alive. I'll give you guys the first 3.

Each of these dates have a special meaning behind them (I'm curious to see if anybody will get the second one). Honestly, just writing this post is reviving the energy to continue this since I already have 2.5 chapters down.

I know this fandom has significantly decreased, but I still love the show, even with its flaws, and I do miss interacting with the fandom. Maybe I'll try to give this fic another chance, but no promises that I'll finish it 😅.
