I was never a fan of Sid and Marty Krofft’s various shows (H.R. Puffinstuff, Lidsville, Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, et al) growing up, but for some unknown reason I found myself tuning in to the Krofft Supershow every week.

Episode 619 - This week, Dave and Ian talk questionable superpowers, musical trail offs, flashblechhhs, Lynchian elusiveness, supershows, rejuvenated ghosts, motion capture theatre, log huggers, jazz giants, nerdstalgia, killer cults, and hot dinosaurs.
Hola, Sneakers! It’s Episode 619 of the poplar cult podcast Sneaky Dragon! Sometimes I have to google something that shows up in my memory just so I know it’s not some fever dream I had as a kid.
So Wonderbug was a live action series that ran in the 1970s as part of the Krofft Supershow on Saturday mornings.
It involved a jalopy named Shlepcar that would transform itself into a shiny dune buggy that could talk (sort of) and fly through the air and help its teenage owners solve crimes.
This is not to be confused with the earlier series Speed Buggy which also involved a sentient crime solving dune buggy but that one was animated. Look. Hanna-Barbera were not going to mess with a semi-winning formula.
Kids, dune buggies were big in the 70s is what I’m saying.

Saturday Morning Television: Bigfoot and Wildboy (1977-1979)
Wildboy (Joseph Butcher), an orphan, was raised in the wilderness of the Northwestern United States by the legendary Sasquatch. Wildboy and Bigfoot (Ray Young) roam the countryside, stomping out pollution, apprehending evildoers, and rescuing those in need.
"Bigfoot and Wildboy was a live action children's television series on ABC. It began in 1977 as a part of The Krofft Supershow on Saturday mornings. Each episode was 15 minutes long, with cliffhanger endings resolved the following week. It became its own series in 1979 with twelve 30-minute episodes. There was a total of 28 episodes produced." WIKI
Created by Joe Ruby and Ken Spears, the team that created Scooby Doo and other Saturday Morning cartoon classics.

Hi, I wanted to tell you this and get your reactions, Krofft Fandom on tumblr
All the krofft shows (Bugaloos, pufnstuf, land of the lost ect, ect) are only on two streaming platforms currently. A random pluto TV ripoff, and a conservitive Christian streaming platform. I want to talk about the second more, because the Krofft shows are the most diversity you are going to get on that platform.
I know most of us Tumblr Krofft fans are young and queer, and I want to get your opinions on 1, if you think this is a bad idea, 2, if yes, why? and 3, if you think that if Krofft shows were to come out today, would they lose their appeal on both/either side? Why or why not?
(BTW, I will be using some responses in an upcoming video essay on this subject.)
