(1) The term used here is 生み出す or ‘umidasu’, which can mean both ‘create’ in more of an artificial sense, as well as ‘to give birth to/to bear’. I assume that in Yui’s case, her insane powers gave her the ability to create new ‘life’ out of nothing.
