#Addams Family #(Wednesday in like scene 2 'I need my boyfriend to know what he's getting into... and to that end LET'S PRETEND TO BE NORMAL!') #I dunno I can't get behind the idea of her like- insulting her family like that. WHAT YOU ARE IS WRONG BE NORMAL #like Cage Aux Follies did it and BETTER with the whole 'Let's pretend to be a normal family' #from the get-go having the kid be very much unlike his dad and step-parent #so it made sense for him to not really grasp that him asking that from them is wrong until later #(Which btw Wednesday NEVER DOES. I kept expecting her to actually own up to having treated her family so poorly and it never happened) #Jean-Michel: *has a whole number apologizing to his parents for being a douche. Wednesday: *nah it's on you for not understanding me. Fuck o #also the musical has a number on her like suddenly taking interests in 'Normal' stuff... and yet consistently reminds us 'Nah she's quirky' #She has a crossbow and likes shooting birds haha except no she actually likes birds now so i dunno why she shot one just then #it's a mess #possibly the weakest musical script I've ever seen #WHY REMIND ME CONSTANTLY THAT SHE'S A TEEN AND THEN BRING UP THE MARRIAGE???!?!?! THIS MUSICAL IS FROM THE 2010's #just #ughhhh
