been trying out a new writing technique recently and it's called chilling tf out and reminding myself that fic is written for fun.

#making a little joke but also being genuinely serious #with my merwaincelot wip i've embraced having little overviews in brackets for what i want to happen #but idk how to write it just yet #if i'm feeling stuck or bored #and if i'm getting tired or the idea of writing an ending is getting overwhelming then i just call it a day and do something else #and yeah it's taking longer to write things (perhaps gone are the days when i wrote and posted a fic in the same night) #but it's working wonders with my brain #and it's amazing how as soon as i relax i get hit with several new ideas #just trying to adjust my thinking in that projects over a long period of time are not something to worry about #like i'm also planning a knitting project that i'll be doing well into september #(mainly bc yarn is expensive and my needs are hella specific) #but that's okay! #not everything has to be done and dusted immediately! #i'm glad i took a break from writing and i think it did do me good but damn i'm happy to be back #and enjoy still learning how to get even more out of my hobby #but anyway i'm just feeling a lil proud of myself today so #lit talks #personal

Well, 2021 was a busy year and I'm a small writer (and small writeblr) so I'm quite happy with what I've managed to do this year!

From February to September, I worked on Embers barely showing, a fantasy short story (or novella i don't know) written for the @originalfictionbigbang. It is now complete and available in english to read here! (very very proud to have achieve this !)

In March I participated in a writeblr event : chazzawrites challenge. That was great!

In April there is a little something for flash fiction friday. You're free to search for it on my blog but i'm a bit embarrassed by it now so I won't share it here.

In May another little thing for flash fiction friday, a scene for my wip Heck Alek (fantasy wip, actually on hold as i don't have courage to do the worldbuilding and think about the magic system. but be sure i will get to it someday). You can read Fairy Lights here.

From October to December, I worked on La Base, a SF wip written in french. You can learn more about it here and here (characters) and here (music). The first draft is currently 17k. It was my nano project but well, I had something very big at the end of november. I did manage to write everyday for 3 weeks so I had created an habit. December is mainly reading books about astronomy and exoplanets to do a bit of research for this wip !

2022

I have no idea what this year will be, so I can't really plan ahead. All I know is that Writing is important for me but alas I'm also interested in learning and doing other things (like playing the guitar, knitting a plaid, learning some LSF or educating myself on feminism and genre, also reading some Sophie Divry or going on hikes) (a lot to be excited about!)

I have 2 goals for my personal writing :

-write the first draft of La Base (sf wip). I estimate more than 50k (50k would be already good).

-finish writing La Sphère de Prospérité (The Prosperity Sphere) (a write your own adventure book / you could use the "it's been 84 years" meme to describe how long I've been working on and off this). I would estimate like 500 to 800 paragraphs? There's 5 parts.

So I'm going to create a writing schedule :)

I have some bookreviews in my drafts so maybe there will be some, who knows.

I used to do tag games and I miss it, so don't hesitate to tag me!

If there's another challenge or event like the original fiction big bang or what chazzawrites did, maybe i'll participate, it was really fun !

There's also the first anniversary of this blog in February, and I would like to do a little something for it
