wahhhh thank you this makes me so happy!!! i've really enjoyed including them in the story bc i think they add a lot to it and i've really enjoyed exploring how i want to characterize them and their relationships with the other characters. plus they've become like. very central to opening up michael to think more honestly about his position and giving gabriel the motivation he needs to actually be firm with his brother - it was difficult for him to condemn michael given how much agony he's in now, but seeing how he treated the ferryman finally pushes him into just genuinely being pissed. and honestly the ferryman deserves to feel like their suffering matters after all this time ;o;
