1. Describe the plot in one sentence?

Bunch of misfit teens and one (1) dwarf go on a treasure hunting quest to save the dwarve’s mysteriously ill daughter.

2. Pick one sight, smell, sound, feel and taste to describe the aesthetic for your novel.

Sight: shadows in the woods, people with blurred edges, never being able to see things clearly

Smell: Lilac and rain, blood and sweat

Sound: howling, whispered voices

Feel: cramps, clasping hands, sparks running over your body

Taste: wrongness, tears

Yes, all of those have a significance to the plot at one point or another

3. Which 3+ songs would make up a playlist for the novel?

Palace - Hayley Kiyoko (Tira/Felicia)

4. What’s the time period and location in which the novel takes place?

Medieval Times I guess? In the fictional world Ambrosia which is basically Pangea

5. Are there any former titles you’ve considered but discarded?

The thing is, I came with this wip when I watched tv and nearly fell asleep and heard the word ‘Ambrosia’ and was like ‘Sounds like a Kingdom’ and that’s how Ambrosia came to be and I haven’t changed the name since, although the Kingdom turned out to actually be a continent.

6. What’s the first line of your novel?

Every great story begins with an adventure.

7. What’s a line of dialogue you’re particularly proud of?

I have so much dialogue, I love dialogue but nothing particular comes to mind right now.

Maybe “There’s more than one kind of Love.”

Or “There will always be magic in this world. You cannot destroy it.”

8. Which line from the novel most represents it as a whole?

I cannot find it right now but something along the lines of:

“You can be a child now.” - “I think it’s a bit too late for that.”

This is gonna take years oh god, umm

Dandelion: Hufflepuff

Tira: Slytherin

Tyr: Hufflepuff

Nuka: Gryffindor

Nikodemus: Hufflepuff

Felicia: Gryffindor

Phinneaus: Slytherin

Eleanor: Ravenclaw (unsure)

Mortimer: Ravenclaw

(I can already see people arguing over this in a future where my wip is well-known, this is so far from people’s expectations)

11. Which character’s name do you like the most?

Granted that none of them have last names, probably Nuka’s because its significant to his story and him settling into his personality and growing.

Also Eleanor because it’s pretty.

12. Describe each character’s daily outfit.

They wear clothing, I swear, I just don’t really think about that kinda stuff.

13. Do any characters have distinctive birthmarks/scars?

Konstantine, a minor character, has a stigma (is that a word?) in her face from when her village was raided.

Nuka also has scars, I mentioned that before but I won’t go into detail.

Anything else I cannot tell because spoilers but scars are A Thing ;)

14. Which character most fits a character trope?

I genuinely do not know. Mainly because no character tropes come to mind.

15. Which character is the best writer? Worst?

Dandelion is the best writer because he knows all the stories in the world. Tira prefers to tell stories rather than write them down.

Tyr probably isn’t the best at telling stories because he doesn’t like the attention. Also he lacks the imagination.

16. Which character is the best liar? Worst?

All of them lie lmao. But I’d say Tira is the one who cannot hide her emotions, she is an open book in that regard. 

17. What character swears the most? Least?

Nuka swears a lot. He swears the most.

Dandelion doesn’t swear because responsible adult™

18. Which character has the best handwriting? Worst?

Without thinking too much about it probably Felicia because she’s been raised in the Kingdom, while Niko probably has a chicken scratch and rarely ever writes.

19. Which character is most like you? Least like you?

Eleanor. For various reasons that have to do with family issues and self esteem but also they are an nb disaster so.

Dandelion is least like me because he has it all figured out and is happy with his life and his purpose in this world. He’s very centered.

20. Which character would you most like to be?

Dandelion. Because he just seems very happy with how he turned out.
