THTH2 Episodes 1-3 Thoughts!

Eeeek it's THTH2 (Too Hot to Handle the game) time!! Last season fizzled out halfway through but based on the first few episodes of season 2, I've got hopes that this one will be better!

First of all, it's 15 episodes as opposed to 10 - there's room for development (and more bombshells/dumpings!)

There's more customization! I feel like it's improved, although others have said they had a harder time with it. I'm not a huge fan of the hairstyles and outfits we've been given so far, but we'll get more

In the initial episodes, there are 5 friends and only 4 LIs - that might be a little disappointing at first (especially since the friends are all hot - URGH I want Santiago!!), but this actually fixes some of the problems with the first season

More non-romanceable characters is a good thing because it means there will be more storylines besides MC/LI and Jada/Justin/Carter

A lot of us started to hate Jada after a while because she kept popping up and we were forced to be friends with her. Having more friends is a good thing because we'll be able to talk to more people instead of just one person. I'm hoping there will be some branching involved where some scenes are dependent on who your highest relationship is with, but we'll see!

Less LIs is fine for the reasons above - sure there's less choice up front, but with next to no branching in S1, every route was the same, and there were only 3 couples at the end. It didn't make sense. Plus...

We're already getting at least one bombshell next week! It's highly likely they'll be LI(s), and no doubt there will be more people incoming

In Season 1, all the LIs had hard-ons for MC even when MC didn't show them any interest - so far that doesn't seem to be the case, and I love that. It was weird that 9 people were obsessed with us, honestly. This time, our choices matter more

They're already setting up a love triangle! It makes so much more sense to have a LT early on when everyone's new rather than force it with a bombshell we don't even like midway through the season

The characters so far seem to have more personality traits than just whatever their jobs/interests are. Hopefully I'm not speaking too soon, and there is definitely still some of that, but I feel like I've already had deeper chats with them. And they ask about us too, and we can define a bit more of a personality for ourselves

I picked Antoine so far (love a Canadian hockey player!!). He's basically an upgraded (yes, I said it) version of Theo (the art style is slightly improved - the smiles aren't as creepy this time!). I wasn't a Theo girlie but so far I'm vibing with Antoine

I was a Liam girlie, but Liam 2.0 (Wesley) doesn't have quite the same appeal. He's still hot, but Idk, he's not my Liam

There's a fun Antoine glitch (not sure if any of the other characters have it) where he's fully naked. It's pretty funny

I've already broken a bunch of rules, mwahaha!

The list of achievements this season is interesting 👀 There's an achievement for getting eliminated, which I will definitely be trying to do. And stuff about the others trusting us (probably a way to earn back money)

They still have the "beach hut" confessionals, but I feel like those episodes are shorter, which is great because they could be a drag on replays before, or when you just want to get to the next episode

Santiago is my boy, I'm loving the representation with him. I'm curious if we'll ever get a chance to get our hands on him even without romance, because we do have a flirty vibe and I would absolutely jump at that chance!

Overall, I'm excited to see how this goes! It does seem like they've taken our feedback so far, the initial episodes felt a lot like last season but that's not at all a bad thing - last season started off great, and this one has too. I do think this season has better potential overall and my fingers are crossed that it delivers

THTH Season 2 Thoughts

Okay, it's been a while since I put together a thoughts post on THTH2, but I think one is warranted.

Anyone who likes LITG and hasn't played this yet needs to get on it. There's only 4 episodes left, so a 1-month Netflix subscription will be enough to play the whole thing, if you were waiting till it was almost done to play.

But... you might want to wait a bit longer till it's out in full, because you'll probably want to replay it - multiple times. The branching this season is SO much better than last season, like I literally just replayed a bunch of times trying to get onto a specific route. I'm thoroughly impressed. I had low expectations going in and was just hoping it wouldn't be as linear as Season 1, but Season 2 has blown me away.

There are only 4 OG LIs (compared to 7 last season), and I know a lot of people were annoyed at that, especially because the friend options are hotter (oh Santiago, what could have been), but it makes sense as there's more non-MC related storyline. And there are 4 bombshells, and at least 3 of them are LIs as well (not sure about the 4th yet because they come in next week but I have a feeling they will be).

As for the LIs, they're all great. Even if you don't like their looks, the personalities are so much more developed than S1 or the last few seasons of LITG. You get unique dialogue with every LI in just about every scene you get with them, you get to go on dates, you get to have intimate scenes (that are also unique from what I've been able to tell!!). You can even choose various interests for your MC and if they match up with a character, you get extra dialogue. The game is so replayable!

It also remembers your choices, so if you flirt with someone and then go for someone else, you'll get reactions from them. And your consequences can have actions! They may forgive you, but they may not.

I mentioned the branching, but once again, it's amazing. You're not forced into love triangles, but you can be messy af and date 3 people at once (just be careful, they might find out 🤭😏). The loyal routes are sooo good, there's a little drama on them that doesn't entirely make sense but the whole time, your LI is all for you. But if you're not loyal, those scenes can change! People will call you out for treating people wrong, or they might come asking you to give them another chance. You can break rules or keep them, and people will trust you accordingly. You can make a relationship official. There's probably an 'I love you' coming at some point, I'd think.

Oh, and there's no twin sister Amelia 🤭

Basically, it's got a lot of the things we've been asking for from Love Island, it's just a different reality show.

Oh, and there are no gem options or in-app purchases, just your monthly Netflix subscription. And when you replay, you can choose any episode to go back to, and there's a skip feature to skip to the next dialogue option or scene.

So if you can afford one month of Netflix, I definitely recommend giving it a try.

Season 6 Volume XIII Thoughts

GTFO, Amelia. That's it.

No honestly, I'm actually so curious what FB thought they were doing with her. They gave us negative responses, but did they honestly think we'd use them? Because they never have any impact. Or did they think we'd WANT to spend so much our game experience having forced chats with her and TWO DOUBLE DATES?!?! You know how they always say it's Love Island, not Friend Island? IT'S NOT SISTER ISLAND EITHER. GTFO.

The baby challenge was mostly a snoozefest. I mean, it was fine, but basic. Our partner is good with babies, Marshall isn't, Grace is disappointed with Ozzy, what else is new?

The unique chats with our LIs were so cute though - Roberto's story about his dad was ABSOLUTE ADORABLENESS and I know the other ones were cute too

Amelia's prank was dumb

Girls' day was meh. I heard there's a little Grace drama on the Ozzy route (surprise, surprise) but off his route it was just bland

I took the gem scene hoping the other girls would have some gossip to share and immediately regretted it. I did not need a play by play of Amelia's bits. Girl. Overshare, much?? It's fine to tell us you did bits, but I do not need that level of detail

No wonder she's always on us to get details 🤮

Not looking forward to next week when she tells us all about what she got into in the hideaway

Half expecting her to announce she's pregnant, ngl

I didn't take the 2nd prank during the cooking scene

Did not want a double date with Amelia and Toby. Yawn. Also why do we have to play games every damn time? This whole seasons is just a million games and challenges

Roberto on the terrace was great. Got the token hot tub date mention in there, too

I'm at least somewhat impressed that they acknowledged we've been to the hideaway already (twice) so they let someone else go, but ew why Amelia and Toby

Of course I took every opportunity to tell them or whoever else would listen that I don't think they'll las

ONE MORE VOLUME!! Looking forward to a final date with my boy where he tells me about the hot tub date one more time (actually two more - it'll defo be in his speech too) and finally win!

They better not make it a tie between us and Amelia. Ugh. Already calling it'll be down to us as the final 2 couples. WHY?! Who would vote for them??

There are 2 things I hate the most about this season:

1. Amelia and all her stupid secret sister chats

2. All the boys being on shared routes

Maybe it's because I'm a Roberto stan and the majority of people are on other LI's routes, so I keep seeing people slander Roberto, but it drives me nuts. YOUR LI is the one doing the same things on my route that MY LI is doing on your route!

The behaviour in this week's episodes from whoever's left of L/R/J/Roberto (whoever was with Amelia/Flo) is so out of character and out of left field. First, pieing us? I mean, fair if you led them on at the beginning, but AMELIA WAS THEIR PARTNER LONGER. SHE RECOUPLED AFTER CASA. WHY DIDN'T YOU PIE HER INSTEAD?!?! It just comes out of left field, like they wanted someone to pie MC but didn't have any legitimate reason for anyone else to do it (um, Grace? Grace coulda done it)

And then the dumping. Honestly it feels like they saw our reactions to Hamish at the Stick/Switch and tried to replicate it, but failed miserably because it didn't fit the character. Like, it was Jamal in my game, but for some people it was Lewie? LEWIE?!!? OF ALL PEOPLE??!!?! And it's just so dumb to make one of the LIs look like an ass, because people might want to replay to do other routes but scenes like that might turn them off those characters (even though, again, they're all the same - but I know some people operate like that).

Shared routes were annoying enough in S1/S2 with Miles/Jasper, Mason/Levi, Henrik/Lucas, etc. But it's even worse when there are 3-4 guys who are basically interchangeable, especially since we barely ever get to see them anyway except in generic scenes and the occasional few unique lines of dialogue. I just want some unique characters and unique routes, and for people not to be mad at my Portuguese squeeze 🥺

Okay, I have some thoughts.

If you enjoyed Season 7, that's cool, I'm happy for you. If you intend to play Season 8, that's cool, I hope you find some enjoyment from it.

But holy hell, Fusebox. Maybe S8 will be good - people keep saying it's all the even seasons that are better (although I still maintain S1 is one of the best as far as the writing, though it does lack in other ways - but first try gets a pass), at least as far as enjoyment and good characters.

But here's the thing. Season 6 had its issues for sure, and we loved to complain about certain aspects of it, but the characters were generally great and a lot of us enjoyed it for that.

But no sooner was it over than S7 was announced. We didn't have time to soak in what S6 was, to let the characters live in our heads rent free, to start missing the game and thinking about what we wanted from the next season. I remember between S2 and S3 there was so much hype because people couldn't wait for more content, every day there were memes on the Fusebox sub from people dying for information. Releasing S7 so quickly on the heels of S6 made it less exciting because people didn't have a chance to yearn for it.

And now they're doing the same thing with S8, because with AI they can just pump out content. We all know it's to get as much money as possible (whether from the few suckers paying for gems or from ad revenue), but it's a great way to actually kill people's interest in the game. Hardly anyone talked about S7 after awhile, partly because the season was boring, but partly because of oversaturation of content. Sometimes you can have too much.

It's just like the show. When it's once a year, everyone gets excited for it. The winter seasons? Meh. So then the ratings for the winter season were low, and then the people who watched the winter season were burnt out and didn't watch the summer season. They're diluting their fanbase and killing their own ratings by making too much content while also not finding ways to make it fresh and exciting (being a CA girl was an attempt, but it ultimately fell flat).

Do yourselves a favour and stop rushing to put out new content every few months that's AI-generated, and take your time to create something good written by actual humans. Please.

Personally, I deleted the app the moment I'd finished today's episodes. Unless something at Fusebox changes, I have no intention of downloading it again.

Love is Blind - Episodes 1-4

Feels like I should just start sideblogs now that I'm branching into so many fandoms, but oh well they're all the same genre with overlapping fandoms so you get to deal with it.

Initial thoughts...

It goes too fast. Way too fast. I get that a lot of the show is based on the wedding planning stuff, etc, but we get 1-2 dates with these guys and have to choose based on those?? In some cases you're getting proposed to on your first date?!?!

I would've preferred the dates portion get spread out over a longer period. It'd be nice to get to know the other women a bit better, have more time to spend with them, have more rivalries and love triangles. Just flesh it out a little more

At first I thought I was gonna just play this once and that was it, but... well... I have 3 profiles already for THTH so I used them all and have 3 ongoing routes

Part of that was because the people I was chatting with when I first started playing met different people, so of course we had to figure out the variations and meet everyone! But I also liked more guys than I expected

Nico's my first and main love, I'm apparently a sucker for an accent and he's got the right mix for me. Sexy, dangerous, but he's looking to settle down. Perfect!

I had the mystery man glitch at first so I didn't get the mystery man dialogue with Nico but it's the same for everyone

In that sense it's a little disappointing that the sleepover date and mystery man stuff is shared dialogue/gifts but whatever - I give them a little leeway because it's the first season

I'm with Blaze on another route but also want Zayid - however I did a route where I didn't accept any proposals and got dumped, but a week later got a call from Sofia, who said I'm going to Mexico. So I get another chance and can't wait to steal Zayid from Autumn!

Overall, at first I was kinda meh on it but it grew on me. I think it's a tough show to translate to a game so for that reason I understand why they rushed through the first few episodes, but in future I would like to see a bit more of the pods (especially since that's what gets heavily promoted for the show) and get to know the characters better before accepting proposals.

Season 6 Volume VII Thoughts

Okay, gangbang is cancelled. These boys are Not It™️. Well, except Andy.

Thoughts on the Boys

Hamish is the wurst. Honestly I'm not entirely surprised because he always did kinda look like a trust fund baby to me, but I'm sad for the people who were looking forward to him

Marshall's chat is dryer than the toast he makes. Ugh. I was excited for him because looks-wise, he's HOT. I want him to rail me. I had the hottest idea for him in the gangbang fic idea. But it's amazing how fast I soured on him.

Francis is exactly what I expected. Ew.

Andy is... really nice and sweet and precious. To be protected at all costs - therefore I will not couple up with him only to break his heart.

Other Thoughts

Me entering Casa, meeting the boys: "Hmm, something someone's missing." Honestly, having a separate date on the roof with Marshall was so weird

Also, Marshall sure mentioned being TWINS with Ozzy a whole lot of time, despite Ozzy never mentioning having a twin, and despite the assets indicating that Ozzy is 24 and Marshall is 27.

Same goes with the Ozzy story, like yeah I believe Ozzy fired him, but I don't believe Ozzy was a snake. It just seems like they wanted different things and Ozzy wasn't happy with the way Marshall was handling him. I trust Ozzy

I didn't actually take the gem scene to learn about Elliot and Grace but I heard afterwards and lol. Grace, girl... That whole situation is a mess

FB's obsession with celebs continues!

Okay, MC and Grace both seeing Marshall for the first time and thinking it was Ozzy? Um, beard and tats? Hello? FB, stop it with the twin identity crisis thing, please, I beg you. They're clearly different people. Also interesting how Grace didn't mistake us for Amelia this time, she's learning!

Another day, another special chat with Amelia. *yawn*

Okay, I'm just going for Marshall at every opportunity because I want the D, but HOW COME YOU CAN DO BITS WITH ALL THE OTHER GUYS BUT NOT HIM!?! Seriously. I checked the scripts and Marshall is the only one with a unique scene, the other boys all share the same one. Rude on so many levels.

Marshall is lying about being twins. He says it too much, so I think he's just trying to somehow gain sympathy with MC.

If you pick Marshall to share a bed with, Amelia starts to say he's the one she wanted to share with. She doesn't do it for the other guys. I think she'll bring him back if neither MC nor Grace do

Hamish is (thankfully) probably not an LI. Maybe one of the other girls picks him, but shame on them if so

The fact Bella points out that MC and Elliot are both single and it would be safe to pick someone means we're probably going to be forced to (I mean, we all thought this anyway). Might bring Marshall back just so I can dump his ass, OR pick Andy after flirting with Marshall the whole time

That's it, that's all. I honestly don't care enough at this point to think about all the potential Casa fallout.

I just want Roberto back.

Season 6 Volume XII Thoughts

Once again, Jamal getting salty was dumb. Stop it. It's OOC, he's not Hamish.

Who on earth wants to do a heartrate challenge FIRST THING IN THE MORNING?!?! This is one of the biggest problems with the season - they've packed so many challenges into it and so much random drama with Amelia/the LIs/Grace and Ozzy that they don't have any chill morning scenes. The morning episodes should be the ones where we get to know the other characters and have group chats, the afternoon should be challenges (other than heart rate), evenings should be recouplings and more group chats and sexy games. and going to bed with our LIs!!

How have I had more bedroom scenes with ELLIOT who I've never said BOO to than with Roberto?!

I couldn't let Elliot dance on me, sorry. I just am sick of having to turn him down

Okay, the heart rate challenge. THE WRITING WAS SO GOOD?!!! Like, this was the first few episodes all over again but make them spicy!! The characters had personality, bounced off each other, and the dances were so well written! AI doesn't do explicit stuff so they were forced to use a human writer and whaddaya know, you get one of the best episodes of the season

I will say though that I'm disappointed I couldn't dance on all the guys. The first dance was amazing, but almost everyone else danced on multiple people? And we had to use a gem scene? Which I used to dance on the same person again anyway and it wasn't even as good?

Also the dancing was spicier than the underwhelming sex scene after the recoupling, which cost 29 gems, was a little confusing, and was over in a couple lines. Make it make sense

Amelia and Toby are so fucking cringe and I cannot. Girl you just met him. You're Grace on day 1 all over again. He's not even that great

The pool scene with our LI after the challenge was very cute. Roberto talked about missing his family when he's away so much and how he wants to start one of his own 🥺

Also, the mental image of him mowing the lawn shirtless??? YES PLEASE!!

I think Roberto brought up the hot tub date on at least 3 separate occasions in this volume

It's disappointing (once again) that after almost a whole season, every chat with my LI is about the same stuff over and over again. The hot tub date. The Snog, Marry, Pie challenge. The heartrate challenge. C'mon, Fusebox. You can't really think we want this? I know you love your AI because it saves you money, but we shouldn't be able to tell. We want to learn new things about our LIs, get to actually know them, and instead every gem scene is almost a carbon copy of the last one

Happy for Ozzy girlies who finally get to couple with your man. And ripping Grace a new one was great too. I can't believe she picked him AGAIN though if MC doesn't?!?! Girl...

Season 6 Volume IX Thoughts

First of all, RUDE of Fusebox to delay the episodes. Some of us woke up early for that!

Postcards, whatever. How did Amelia know that was her bed? What was with the "mystery man" being cut off the side of the screen? I just acted chill about the whole thing

The best part of the first 2 episodes was taking every opportunity to tell Amelia not to couple up with Marshall, to tell her I still wanted him, to flirt with him in front of her. No regrets

Another kissing challenge? Why? Also, you give me a gem scene (yes I kissed Marshall) but we still manage to lose? (Yes, a tie with Amelia is still considered losing)

I hate it when they take bits of the show and then CHANGE THEM TO MAKE THEM STUPIDER. Just let the guys give us a 1-10 rating and add up the scores, it defeats the point to have them discuss it together when they could already tell who was who!

I didn't want to go on a double date with my fucking sister. But at least I got to interrupt her chat with Marshall and flirt with him. Sorry, Andy!

HOME TIME!!! Oh wait, no. Gotta go around the villa and talk to everyone again, turning Andy down again. Sorry, Andy!

And we get to the villa, and... wait, what? It's the guys and girls together, we don't get to choose first and then have the big reveal? And they weren't even surprised to see me because they got postcards? Fusebox, literally what the fuck are you doing.

Okay but also that was so anticlimactic because the boys know what we're doing before they make their choice? Like good on Jamal (in my game - Roberto in most people's games) for switching after seeing Amelia switch, but big yawn to all the others

Season 6 Volume XIV Thoughts (Finale)

Most of it was boring because the prom/finale is always boring so I'll keep this quick.

The dresses were mostly ugly

Amelia, I did not need to know. Also why you spending your whole date making out, that is gross

The pranks were dumb. MC's was good but the rest were dumb. Can't believe how much time was spent this season doing pranks instead of just random group chats. Stop it, FB

I hate that Amelia and Toby stole our thunder by becoming boyfriend/girlfriend first. Gross. They've known each other 3 days, we've been sorta together since the start??

As Suzi pointed out, we don't even get an ILY??

Roberto didn't mention the hot tub date during the final date, but he did during the dance

He's been doing early morning practice sessions to learn to dance and that is so cute

I got Grace and Ozzy to break up, and all it took was saying the same thing I've been saying all along, woo!

HAMISH?!?!!? 100% fan service

New season in September? Already?!?! You just know it's a money grab and it's gonna be 100% written by AI and with reused sprite body parts and it's not gonna be good. I may not play - I've enjoyed being active in the fandom this season but it's clear FB isn't going to take our feedback and they're just going to be pumping out bad stories.

Except the Casa Amor part intrigues me so much....

Season 6 Volume XI Thoughts

Well, that was incredibly underwhelming.

The guys made breakfast for us but it was Elliot serving us brekkie instead of Roberto, my actual LI? and Roberto didn't even show up in that scene at all??

Literally had to wait for ages to even see him, and even then he was just on the terrace

Toby not being Zeph isn't a surprise, but just... the whole Zeph thing was such a big thing but literally nothing at all. Such a waste of breath. I know they needed a past for Amelia and MC to talk about to even make having a twin worthwhile (spoiler: they failed), but that just wasn't it. They could've given us all the Zeph info up front and came up with something new (or had us actually work out our relationship issues!!)

Toby being hardcoded for Amelia, big surprise there. Ew. Do not like.

I didn't pay to make Roberto jealous because I honestly didn't want to spend more time with Zeph, but he said he was jealous anyway afterwards

LOVE SNOGGING MY MAN

I said to the girls that I was looking forward to the kisses, hoping that would mean that Roberto would snog me. He married me instead... nice, sure, but I would've preferred the snog. Even though he was respectful with his Bella kiss, those are MY lips!!! Mine!! I want to kiss them!!

Pieing Amelia was underwhelming because I didn't get to give a good reason - just "you know why"

LITG S7 Volume II Thoughts

Wasn't even gonna do a thoughts post this week because I was so underwhelmed by the episodes today, but eh whatever. I'm doing it.

It feels like S6 in here. Are the first volumes being written by people and then AI is taking over? Because all the signs are there again (screenshotted a bunch of "x reads out the text")

Summer asking us for deets on what we got up to the night before is giving me Amelia flashbacks. *cringe*

Whyyyyy are they doing Raunchy Races first thing in the morning?! Believe me, the last thing I want to do after I've just woken up is play a game where we race to kiss people

Raunchy Races especially felt like S6 again. Reusing a bunch of the same nonsense subjective prompts, people taking too long to figure out who's the "best" at something, losing challenges because of it. But this time making us pay to win? We shouldn't have to!

I don't care about Summer's kiss. Why am I investigating that on dates when I should be getting to know these guys?! And it immediately became obvious that she was lying about it when none of the guys fessed up (and someone said he didn't want to embarrass anyone)

Speaking of, why are we dressing in our evening clothes to do dates in the afternoon and then putting our party outfits on for the party? It's minor but still annoying, I was wearing the nice black dress and had to change into something less attractive

Spin the Bottle! Something new! Except... it's with dares? And nobody's taking the kisses? And people are complaining after 2 turns that it's not landing on them? And Bonnie takes a turn to get one of the guys to kiss MC?! WHY?!?! I'm just- there's so much potential and FB always manages to make it fall flat

Joyo's taking me back. Or is he? Or wait, he is. No? He's making our chat special! But how? We just had a nice chat where he expressed interest and now I have to make a move myself? What?! Idk I'm so lost sometimes.

2 nights and we're already going to the villa? If the concept of the season is that we're a CA girl, we should, y'know... be a CA girl a little longer. Get to know the guys (without cramming a million challenges into the episodes). Not move so fast that we're having sex the 2nd night.

It also kinda defeats the purpose when all 4 guys are interested in us (although Raf is probably sticking, let's be real). We're being encouraged to graft but the guys are all in love with us and will take us back even if we don't. Make us work for it! Make them harder to get! Urrgh!!

Cassius better be a CA boy, that's all I'm saying.

Season 7 Volume I Thoughts

Okay, initial thoughts... meh. It's okay - the dialogue is half-decent, it seems to be mostly fresh and enjoyable, and the characters are showing their personalities. But I'm also far, far from being blown away.

Most of the guys bore me, but Joyo's the most attractive to me and his personality hasn't turned me off, so he's my guy for the time being

I'm not vibing with any of the girls as friends and actively dislike Summer and kinda Bonnie too. Uma might be okay but as we've all said, she looks like she's holding it in

There was opportunity here with the CA concept to do something fresh and interesting but so far it's the same old, except that there's no official recoupling yet. How cool would it have been to do the "Casa girl walk" like on the show where the girls all strut down the drive together and the guys freak out when they arrive? Instead we just meet the new girls, then meet the boys, then it's the same old thing. Yawn

WHERE'S CASSIUS?!?! Obvs we didn't get a preview for him so we weren't expecting him but are we really expected to believe that it's just all the OG people in the villa? Also how much time has passed, because we got a little story about the first couple days and then just "but that feels like forever ago." WHAT'S HAPPENED SINCE THEN?!!? WHY/HOW DID CASSIUS GET DUMPED, ESPECIALLY WHEN ESTELLE AND ALEX HAVE NO CHEMISTRY?!?!

Speaking of, none of the girls have actually watched the show? We could've gotten the deets from them! They could've had pre-conceived ideas of who they were after! It's dumb that they all went in blind!

We could've had a group chat where everyone says who they're interested in, like in S2. C'mon, you're based on a show, do what the show does

The customization is lacking compared to last season. I like that MC is facing forward, except her body pose is still sideways and overall is just weird. The outfits are mostly trash (including the evening ones that haven't been shown yet, we wore our party outfits in this volume). The art is more polished than the preview but honestly why show such a fugly preview if it's gonna look different in the game?

There's already a fair amount of shared dialogue/shared routes. Summer goes after whoever we like, setting herself up to be the villain of the season. Great.

I'm gonna keep playing, it's alright, but ever since it was announced I haven't been remotely excited for this season, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. It'll take a lot for me to want to write any fics for this season (especially with my S2/S6 fics still in the works!)

S6 Volume VIII Thoughts

Remind me why I was looking forward to Casa Amor? I'd almost rather be stuck in a villa for 4 days with Felix... almost. At least then I'd get to spend time with the person I like best and not have to deal with sister drama and all that shit.

The note. I said this once before, but... "Thanks for being you"?? Like I almost do hope it's from Elliot and not Roberto because that's so generic, like something a teacher or boss would say to you. Not a LOVE INTEREST. It sounds more like someone saying "We had a nice fling, can't wait to see you on the outside, but only as friends. Byeee gonna crack on with these new girls"

And then Grace saying she knows who sent it only to then say it's just a theory. Like, you cliffhangered the episode on that only to say "Well this is what I think..." Girl you had your chance to tell me in the bedroom that you thought it was from Elliot. And guess what. I don't give a damn about Elliot, and you should know that if you'd LISTENED TO A SINGLE FUCKING WORD I'VE EVER SAID. JUST LIKE YOU NEVER LISTENED ABOUT OZZY.

Raunchy races... what?? What are these instructions? "Sportiest girl"? "Hottest girl"? "Horniest boy/girl"?? THAT'S NOT HOW THESE ARE SUPPOSED TO WORK!!! No wonder the Villa won if we had to go through everyone figuring out who fit the description! This was a bad way to start the volume

Amelia going for Marshall, once again, pisses me off. And it pisses me off even more because a) he's the hottest one there and after stringing us along with Ozzy, I was ready to give it all up for Marshall instead as a fuck you (well, not really - I still want Roberto. but I was gonna replay for him). b) WE GOT A DATE WITH HIM WHEN WE FIRST WENT INTO CASA!! WE GOT TO SHARE A BED! AND KISS HIM! AND THEN GO ON ANOTHER DATE! And then you hit us with "I like Amelia better"?!?! Bro.

I mean, I didn't even like Marshall anymore after his personality fell flatter than a pancake, but the moment Amelia showed interest in him, I was like, BACK OFF I WANT HIM. I just wanted to keep her from getting him. Now I can't even do that! But if they were gonna be hard-coded, why tease us with him at all?

And please, stop with the "talk to everyone about x thing" when we could just... talk to those people. And we all know Amelia would've told us anyway. But then them coming to us to "announce" that they're coupling up? Like... no. Amelia can come to me and tell me you kissed and that she wants to pick him. Marshall can come to me and tell me he's sorry but he prefers Amelia. Don't come to me together and make a big thing out of it like that so that everybody else sees and sticks their noses in it

Speaking of Hamish, whyyy did they have to make him so icky??? Like, he could have just been a funny young boy that wasn't interested in us romantically, but nooo. And then Grace kissing him only to get the ick, only to admit she lied about Ozzy and might bring Hamish back?? Have some fucking self-respect, woman!

I got to fuck Andy at least. He's a sweet boy. If it weren't for me being upset about Marshall, I'd be happy to romance him. But I don't like that it's just him by default (because Francis... no)

Okay so Amelia almost drank during NHIE for the 'dated a celeb' question (again with the celeb obsession), looking awkwardly at MC. She also said she lied in the villa, but said it was about meeting Elliot before. But there's definitely more to the Zeph stuff, she's gotta be lying about how far they went. She's a snake.

I think that's everything? Whew, I need to calm down. I've been refreshing the app store hoping Romance Club would update a day early like they usually do, I need it!!
