Valentino running away as a teen bc he thought his whole family hated him but without him the house is oddly quiet. Like it wasn't the same, he wasn't tackling Sonny downstairs. He wasn't playing tag with Michael, Connie and Bianca. He isn't protecting or teaching Fredo anymore. Tom isn't teaching Valentino new words. Benni isn't being tested by Valentino and Sonny's stupid pranks. Luce isn't doing well without his hype man. Carmela is worried for her son, she knows he's strong but it's her job to worry. Vito has his friends looking for his third eldest.

Two years pass and Valentino comes back, wounded but alive. Walking back into his home bleeding from the side of his head. The first person to see him is Sonny who doesn't believe what he sees and Valentino just cries out "Santino" and drops to his knees as Sonny races over holding his little brother close to his chest. Next is Bianca, Michael and Connie who raced over without question hugging their big brother. Valentino is overwhelmed and concussed so he's just confused and crying. Next is the Del Sole brothers who tackle the others hard. Carmela and Vito come racing in and see Valentino and Carmela starts crying and Vito is shaking Valentino asking where he's been. Fredo is hiding upstairs because he's scared he'll lose his favorite big brother again.

After Valentino is sewn up by Tom and told how much he's loved. Valentino sits on the floor of his room, the room was spinning and he's face was pressed against his knees. Fredo walks in quietly then sits next to Valentino. They sat in silence...till they fell asleep.
