one thing i love about motionless in white is that every single one of their releases contains some sort of reference to previous material. some of the lyrics on the whorror are taken from the demo. two whorror tracks got rerecorded for the full-length when love met destruction. six tracks from that full-length got rerecorded as the wlmd ep. creatures has a remake of a song from the whorror, two songs from the scrapped wlmd lp, plus the title track has the chorus from the wlmd title track. infamous has part 2 of the puppets series that creatures started. reincarnate then has part 3 plus unstoppable as an underdog sequel, and the acoustic version of sinematic. graveyard shift's untouchable completes underdog's rule of 3, and dead as fuck gets remade (and a wlmd reference on 570!). undead ahead sequel on disguise. now steotw has a burned at both ends sequel and the new broadcasting from beyond the grave. it's cool. to me

I know a lot of people have whole playlists for their fav characters and OTPs but I've never really been able to do that cause it feels forced or a lot of songs just don't seem to fit. However, sometimes a song will make me think of a character if it fits just right (the lyrics or the music or just the general feel of the song, and sometimes all those things combined) and sometimes I'll already be thinking of a character in a certain way or story with them and the song I'm listening to will just magically align with that moment/scene. So, though it's only a tiny list of songs, here are the ones that's cemented their musical character-song association to me (not including songs that are actually from their series): Ryou Bakura (Yu-Gi-Oh) - "Somewhere I Belong" by Linkin Park (which is a pretty common association in the fandom lol. I agree.) Gil (Dragon Knights) - "Forgotten" by Linkin Park (chorus) (Demon Gil) - "Animal I have Become" by Three Days Grace (After Resurrection) - "Rapture" by Panorama Panama Town (OP for Juuni Taisen) (OC) Yami - "Unstoppable" by Motionless in White (pre-Princess' rebirth) (OC/Me) Giichi - "Step Up Love" - Daoko and Okamura Yasuyuki (ED for Blood Blockade Battlefront & Beyond)
