Brazil is a difficult country to be represented due to its large ethnic and cultural diversity. As we do not have only one traditional clothing, I decided to add to her casual clothing some cultural aspects and details.

Mayara is a parda (mestiza/mixed) woman. She has long dark curly hair and bright hazel eyes (they're not green) with a small mark below her left eye (Portugal's influence).

Her basic clothing is composed of a white lace blouse and a tiny turban made of floral green chita cloth.

She wears simple jeans shorts with a guaiaca (gaucho belt) decorated with an Aparecida buckle.

Her earrings are based on indigenous (povos originários) earrings, made of beads and feathers.

Her sandals are made of leather; they're traditional sandals worn in the Northeast region of Brazil.

BRAZIL — JAMAICA

Jamaica and Brazil like raggae and Carnival. They share familiar topics to talk aha. XD

But, for real, Raggae is a very popular musical genre in my region, for example. We got many references to it in our culture. Like in the states of Bahia and Maranhão!

Did you know that the state of Maranhão is known as the land of the Raggae in Brazil? São Luís do Maranhão is known as the Brazilian Jamaica.

Also, I saw videos of many Jamaican people cheering for the Brazilian Football Selection (like the Haitians!!) During the Qatar WC. It made us very happy and emotional, since many Brazilians spit on our Selection and Football and prefer cheering for other countries.

So, I believe that they have a very nice friendship!

BRAZIL—CUBA

Cuba falls in a little more complex situation, because their relation is mostly enveloped in politics. Basically, relations between them will vary depending on the ideological positioning and politicals views of the current government.

The current Brazilian government is trying to re-approach Cuba again as you can read:

But out of politics, I HC that Brazil and Cuba can spend nice times together, since they got similar cultures, and even similar religions beliefs (Cuban Santería and Afro-Brazilian religions like Candomblé, for example, shares the belief in Orishas) so... they can get along, in my opinion 🤔 maybe they can have fun moments together.

PS: Honorable mention for Suriname, which is Brazil's commercial partner and in addition to maintaining mutual cooperation, historical and border relations. But for me, Suriname better fits within Brazil's South American relations.

I have to research more and more, but I hope that I could give an okay answer! Ofc I didn't enter in more complex topics, this is a nutshell of my HCs.

Does Brazil have any pets ?

Sorry for the late reply, I am so unorganized!

She does have! She is a true pet lover and loves animals. Brazil is the country with the most veterinary medicine universities and the 3rd one (country) with more pets owners. 🐶🐕

Mayara has an Ararajuba (Janaína), an Amazona aestiva (Josias), and two dogs (a popular mixed-breed caramel-color named Caramelo, and a Fila Brasileiro named Filipa, she loves Filipa's lazy face!)

Shes a Dog and Bird person. She likes extroverted, sociable and talkative pets, just like her, characteritics that resembles her personality. Haha 🐕🐦 but she enjoys other animals like cats or even exotic pets too. Even tho, at moment she just has Janaína, Caramelo, Josias and Filipa. 😁

I will give a small glimpse on their relationship.

In a nutshell, they share a pretty chaotic relationship! 😳 Brazil has a history of internal conflicts featuring her states. And moments where she had to confront them and vice versa. Let's say... She wasn't very... comprehensive with them during those moments. ☝️🤓 (I will bring up these topics in future posts about Brazilian History).

May has a complicated relationship with some of her states, but this doesn't mean they hate her or something extreme like that. Some of them may have a perception that Mayara is too childish and irresponsible to be a representative of Brazil.

I believe that Maya's States that may get well along with her are Rio de Janeiro/Rafael (since she basically lives with him, in RJ city) and Bahia/Gabriela, who took care of her when she was a child. Fun fact, they both were her capitals at some moment in the Brazilian Lore haha (Bahia/Salvador, Rio de Janeiro/City of Rio de Janeiro), and they both are the most influential characters in the cultural aspect.

However, I don't consider May and Brasília (her current capital) close enough to establish a strong relationship Country-Capital as she did with Rio, for example. They mostly meet for political and formal meetings/events. Mayara is not very attached to Brasília, in my opinion. And I don't think Brasília minds at all, she is always too busy to care for something so trivial. She does her job, and that's enough. I HC May calls Brasília "corrupt Brat" and Brasília calls her "incompetent air-head".

Also, let's not talk about the problematic separatist movement in the South Brazilian region. 😶

The states does have some regional rivalities. As always. The regions are always fighting each other for something, Northerns vs Southerns, etc etc.

And of course, they've got (kinda healthy? or kinda unhealthy?) rivalities. Rio de Janeiro vs São Paulo, Bahia vs Pernambuco, sometimes, everyone vs Rio de Janeiro, everyone vs São Paulo, Pernambuco vs everyone, everyone vs South states. Ahaha. They're fighting each other all the time. They must chill, somehow. 😭 the only thing these motherfuckers agree on is bullying Acre, claiming that he isn't real. 😭
