It's done!

The rubber coating did not want to adhere to the modeling foam, so that's why where the handle meets the sword looks gross. Don't skip the heat sealing step, I guess.

I'm proud of the result, but most importantly, I'm ready to be DONE WITH IT.

Progress report:

Cut, align, glue, tape, sleep; repeat.

Trying something a little different with the dragon sword pommel. My first attempt (upper right there) didn't dry quite how I wanted. So I cut the detail from eva and glued it to a new armature. Tomorrow I'll start to fill in all the gaps and edges with modeling foam.

MK's monkey king staff is complete!

Still chipping away bit by bit on Mei's dragon sword. Every small step requires a day of drying time:

Filling gaps/shaping with foam, connecting parts together, sealing... mask/paint tomorrow and details/mod podge on Sunday.
