Leon confesses to Nessa that Hop has been having a hard time at school with bullying. She just says “I’ll handle it”. The next day she shows up after school to pick him up, letting sure everyone sees her, and just showers him with attention and affection. Nessa loves using her gorgeous powers for good, and Hop can’t stop smiling afterwards, especially when she gives Hop a kiss on the cheek just so he can have yet another reason to show off to the losers who pick on him.

Nessa is every middle schooler’s dream gf. Every boy at Hop’s school says they like Nessa the most because she’s the prettiest. That’s an exaggeration, but that’s what it sounds like to Hop.

So when Hop tells Nessa he’s being bullied, he also mentions this. Not on purpose, it just slips out when Nessa asks questions.

Hop’s being bullied because his older brother is the champion. Which didn’t make sense? They were saying that Leon abandoned Hop because he’s in Wyndon and so the Champion of Galar hates Hop? Whatever. That’s Nessa’s thought process anyway.

So she goes to get him from school the next day. “Oh, Hop, it’s so nice to see you! Let’s go get an ice cream! Leon told me to tell you he loves you, by the way.” A bunch of that. She makes a huge (loving) scene over gushing over what a “handsome young man” Hop is and how she’s excited to take him for a trip to Hulbury for a bit because “your brother, Leon, asked me to since he thought you would like it.” She makes a big point about how Leon thinks about and loves Hop.

Hop is so happy. He didn’t actually expect Nessa to do anything, but he’s so glad he did. Now, everyone asks him to get Nessa to come back so they can meet her. He talks to Nessa and she agrees to go back and have a talk about bullying a little (without making it seem like it’s about Hop).
