A little drabble I did for Let Sans Rest day, I know it's late but I didnt have time until now. Hope you all will enjoy this~

Normally you don’t wake up this early on weekends, you enjoy the slow morning’s you usually have with your datemate Sans. Today though, you wanted to do something different. The finals were over at the university and your datemate had worked really hard on grading all the papers of his students. You were so proud of your datemate, sure he was a bit of a lazy bones, but underneath that lazy and laidback persona was a hardworking monster. When it came to his lectures and students, he gave it his all. He really wanted all his students to shine.

It was one of the qualities that had you falling for him. One of you friends had snuck you into his class once and you had never been a physics person but figured it was better then waiting alone outside. To your surprise his enthusiasm and humour had you hooked. It definitely had you feeling like you were a bit smarter by the end of it.

You really couldn’t take your eyes off the skeleton monster. While all the students would groan at his puns and jokes, you would giggle. This sort of humour was right up your alley. At one of his puns you snorted, really struggling to keep a low profile and he locked eyes with you and you could swear his grin got a bit wide. Out of embarrassment and amusement  you blushed.

Once the class was done and you were waiting for you friend to finish packing, he approached you and introduced himself and asked if sneaking into lectures were a hobby of yours. After explaining you had some time to kill between your own lectures so your friend convinced you to come. After that you guys kept meeting in the hallways and he would always come with a new joke to make you laugh. At some point he would start having lunch with you and you two quickly became friends. He was a big help and support when you finished up your degree.

Once finals were over he invited you to his favourite bar to celebrate. You had such a good time at the fire elemental's bar. By the end of it you felt like you were on cloud nine. He walked you home and as you were saying your goodbyes he grabbed your hand pulling you down so he could kiss you. It was a sweet little kiss and it felt like your heart was going to pop out of your chest. With blushes on both your faces you giggled and smiled. Telling him you had a great time and you definitely needed a repeat.

And here you are a year later, sharing a home and you couldn’t be happier. Now you were up early while he was still in bed. You were going to surprise him with breakfast in bed. He had worked so hard the past few weeks and you just wanted to spoil him.

Pancakes? Check. Coffee with too much sugar? Check. Some various topping for pancakes? Check. Now what were you missing? Ah yes, a jar of your homemade ketchup. Ever since you discovered his love for ketchup you knew you needed to learn how to make your own. You were pretty proud of it. With everything prepared for a lazy morning you went back to your shared bedroom.

He was still snoozing peacefully in bed, perfect. You quietly walked over and placed the tray on the dresser. Time to wake up sleeping beauty. You did hate to wake him up as you knew he struggled with nightmares, it had been better since you started sharing a bed, but they still happened.

You leaned down and started to stroke his skull; “time to wake up sugar skull, I’ve got something for you.”. He started to grumble as he was waking up and you started peppering sweet kisses over his skull. As you were about to pull back you felt a hand at the back of your head hold you in place as he gave you a slow and soft kiss.

“what got you in such a lovable mood starlight?”

You giggled and gave him another kiss.

“I just wanted to spoil my sweet datemate with some breakfast in bed. Have a lazy morning before we have a lazy day.” You stood back up and turned to get the tray.

“that’s a lot of lazy, sure we have time for all that lazying around?”

“Pretty sure we can squeeze it into our oh so very busy schedule.” You giggled as you placed the tray on the bed and got in yourself.

“welp, guess I’ll have to ketchup with things later.”

No mater how overused his puns were, you couldn’t help but giggle. You loved this goof.

You both snuggled up and ate the breakfast you prepared between lazy kisses and chatter.

“what did I do to deserve such a sweet datemate? sometimes I can’t believe you’re really here.”

Putting the tray away you snuggled up close to you boneboy.

“Were else am I going to get this level of humour? I’ve got to tell you that unfortunately I’m stuck to you now.”

“heh, think I can live with that honey.”

With his hand he tilted your head up and gave you a lazy and sweet kiss filled with affection.

“i love you starlight.”

“I love you too sugar skull.”

Yeah, lazy mornings with your datemate was the best.
